Enka smiled and yelled, "Are you just gonna stand there?" He laughed, "Fine, then I'll attack first!"
Enka slid his hand to the very end of his naginata, maximizing its reach. Although the attack was formless, it was nevertheless powerful—too powerful for Taro's weak body.
With his trusted sword, Taro tried to block, but the impact from the collision knocked him back, causing him to roll on the sand.
Taro got up and gathered chakra on his feet, accelerating in speed.
However, as Taro got close, Enka smiled and stepped back. Using his reach, he pulled back the naginata then thrust, nearly striking Taro, who was charging straight at him.
Taro made a quick step to the left, then dashed once again at Enka. He leaped into the air and yelled, "Haaaaa!"
Putting all his power and chakra into one attack. Once the chakra on the sword gathered, the blade emitted a calm orange light.
Enka yelled in excitement, "This is no ordinary naginata, you fool!"
Enka leaped, joining Taro in the air. He pulled back his naginata and swung it with all the force he could muster, colliding with Taro's sword.
Boom!

A few minutes earlier, Mashiro's office
"Here's the report on how much money I've received for the mission." Kise placed a paper on the table.
Mashiro picked up the paper and murmured, "1.5 million ryo? That's it?!" Mashiro slammed the paper onto the table, "We should've just robbed that spineless bastard clean!"
Although frustrated, Mashiro knew the value of trust in the field of shinobi.
Mashiro sighed and looked at Kise, "How's the training of 'that' jutsu?"
Kise smiled, "I've made some progress, but it's still hard to maintain. The chakra cost is just too much."
Mashiro sighed, "If only our clan had—"
Before Mashiro could finish, a sharp explosion came from the west. Mashiro stood up, and Kise turned around with his eyes wide open.
Mashiro asked, "Is it an attack?" He ordered Kise, "Gather some clansmen and elders! I'll make my way there first!"
Kise disappeared in an instant, followed by Mashiro, who rushed toward the explosion. The closer he got, the more he recognized the direction. "Shit, this is the way to the cave! Did someone attack Taro?"
His chakra flared as he yelled, "I swear in my name, I'll kill whoever touches my son!"
His speed increased and he arrived at the scene. To his confusion, the sight wasn't what he expected—not entirely.
There was a battle, yes. But the battle wasn't against an enemy.
Taro stood in front of Toji, who was trying to wake his brother up. Enka's arm was badly burnt, his right arm looking like it was cooked well done.
Mashiro snapped out of his momentary daze and rushed toward Toji. "Toji, what happened?!"
Toji stood up and handed his brother to the clan patriarch. "I-It was a spar. Young Master Taro wanted to spar with Enka, and Enka agreed. When their weapons were clashing, Taro's sword gleamed with a bright orange light, then suddenly, a massive explosion occurred, burning Enka…"
Shocked, Mashiro looked at Taro, "W-Wha…"
His words were stuck in his throat.
"Cough, cough, cough!"
Enka coughed, causing the three to yell in relief, "Enka!"
Enka slowly opened his eyes, "Where… Where the fuck am I?" He coughed once again then started drooling, "Hehe… Why do I smell meat? It smells amazing…"
Mashiro yelled, "Snap out of it, Enka!"
Mashiro was nervous. Enka was a promising shinobi, as well as the grandson of Fuji, one of the elders. If the clan were to lose a future elite, it would be a devastating loss for a small clan like the Hosai Clan.
As he began thinking of the worst, a sudden shout snapped him out of his daze. "Father! Reinforcements are here!"
Kise yelled with over twenty ninjas behind him. Almost all of the elite ninjas and elders were present, and one of them was the father of Enka and Toji—and behind him was Elder Fuji.
Seeing his grandson injured, Elder Fuji rushed toward Mashiro and yelled, "Enka!" His aura flared. "Who did this?!"
When the clansmen arrived, they surrounded everyone, with Kise and Nao protecting Taro from the enemy—not knowing the "enemy" was the one they were protecting.
Taro cried on the inside, "Goddamn it! Why did that bastard have to raw dog an unknown glowing sword!"
Soon, the medics came flooding in, ready to treat any wounded ninjas. Elder Fuji quickly dragged the best medic and forced him to save his grandson.
The medic choked from the chakra being emitted by Fuji. "His vitals are fine… But most of his muscles are burnt, and he suffered a mild concussion. From the injury, I'm assuming that he fell from a high place and struck his head while trying to rebalance, but because of the burnt muscles, he couldn't, thus hitting his head."
Taro sweated bullets, "He won't turn retarded, right? No way… He said it was only a mild concussion…"
Fuji asked, "How long will the recovery be? Will he be back at full strength?"
The medic nodded his head, "He should recover in about three weeks. As for a full recovery, he will most likely gain his strength back."
Fuji sighed in relief, "That's fine…" Then he remembered what happened to his grandson. "Who did it?! Who the fuck attacked my grandson?!"
Mashiro sighed and walked toward Elder Fuji with Toji besides him and explained the situation. When Fuji heard the full story, his eyes widened in shock. The surrounding ninjas murmured as they heard it, and soon enough, the whole platoon of ninjas knew about the legendary feat a five-year-old had done.
He turned around and stared at the now-pale Taro. He walked toward him and asked, "D-Did that sword really have a unique ability?"
Taro nodded, still scared of the elder.
Elder Fuji stared at Taro, then began crying. His cries weren't loud, but his tears were like a river, his snot dropping down onto the sand.
"Hand me the sword, let me take a look!" ordered Fuji.
Taro hesitated, but Kise's voice reassured him, "It's fine, Taro… After all, he was the one that crafted that sword."
Taro's jaw dropped, which made Fuji laugh, his fury now gone like it never happened. "Hahahahaha! I made that sword as an oath to your grandfather! That sword is worth more than that brat Enka!"
Taro handed the sword over, and Fuji asked, "Do you know her name?"
"Huh?"
Fuji grinned, "Her name is… Mitsuyo, the light of Hosai!"
