*Woosh*
Taro ducked as an arrow nearly struck his head.
Currently, he is fighting more than 6 skeletons. However, no matter how much he tried, the skeletons were shooting too fast and too precise. Each arrow they shot felt like death itself stared at Taro.
"These fucking bastards and their aimbots!" Taro cursed.
Taro stopped hiding behind a wall of blocks he made and dashed towards an unsuspecting skeleton who quickly turned around and readied his bow. However, with chakra infused feets, Taro dashed with immense speed, narrowing the distance before the skeleton could shoot.
Using his precise chakra control, Taro gathered chakra onto his hands and struck the skeleton on the ribcage, breaking it and killing the skeleton in one shot.
Taro beamed with a smile, but his delight was cut short as an arrow struck his legs, causing him to reel in pain.
He quickly turned around and saw a rain of arrows coming towards him. Thinking rapidly, he built two blocks in front of him, causing the arrows to be blocked.
Behind the wall, Taro yelled, "I just want bone meals you bastards!"
As he continued to yell, a cry came from behind, causing him to shiver in cold sweat. The cry was familiar to him, as they ran rampant in the skies of the nether—a Ghast.
Ghast, a large, floating, fire-breathing mob from the nether that shoots fireballs at you if you get too close. Like the skeletons, they too had aimbot whenever you're low enough to die.
Taro looked up and saw a Ghast staring at him angry, and was getting ready to breathe fire-balls at him.
Taro dug 3 blocks on the ground in panic and placed a block above him to cover him.
"Meeee-aaaa-hhh!"
A cry from above echoed even underneath the man hole Taro created. Then after a cry, a massive explosion erupted, followed by the sound of burning blocks.
With no other choice, Taro had to dig and wait till the ghast made his leave.
Taro sighed, "I completely forgot to bring my bow and my shield. I know I can deflect those fireballs with a sword, but I'd rather not test my luck."
30 minutes passed and Taro felt that it was safe enough to go back up and fight with the skeletons without the interference of the Ghast.
Once Taro made it to the surface, he looked around and saw no ghast.
Taro let out a sigh of relief and fully emerged from his man hole. However, as he looked at the skeletons, he noticed that 3 more skeletons were added to the herd of skeletons from before.
Taro couldn't do anything and just dashed towards the skeletons, fighting them head on.
After a few minutes of a grueling fight, Taro successfully killed all the skeletons nearby who posed a threat to him.
With the Skeletons gone, he could finally mine bone meal blocks, which he can turn into bone meals to grow more crops.
Taro took a deep breath and said, "Finally, I'm done with those guys. Now, I just need to gather all the bone blocks in this area."
It took Taro 20 minutes to mine all the bone blocks, and in total he gained 212 bone blocks, which if it were converted to bone meals, would be 1908.
After converting all the bone blocks, he placed 1809 bone meals on his minecraft inventory, while the other 100 on the system inventory.
Taro gathered everything he needed and made his way back to the portal. Thankfully, just like minecraft in his previous world, this minecraft had a coordinate setting that can be turned on with his mind alone. All he has to do is think about the coordinates and it will appear in his head.
When Taro finally came back to the overworld, he first fed the animals and grew the farm even more. After that, he emptied out all of the chest boxes and placed the wheat in his system inventory.
"It's time…" Taro thought to himself as he readied to open a portal to the ninja world.
But before he could open the portal, the system gave out a new prompt,
[Quest: Feed the Hungry.
Feed Starving Clansmen - 0/283
End date: 2 months.
Penalty: Death of 132 clansmen.]
Taro's eyes widened and he sighed, "I think I need to use all of my accumulated wheat for this."
In the end, Taro emptied his chest of all wheat and used some of the bone meal to grow more wheat rapidly.
Taro hasn't raised that much livestock to make a difference and he has yet to make an excuse in his mind to use for an explanation when asked by his father, as livestocks are more valuable in the Land of Wind than wheat.
Having gathered everything he needed, he opened up a portal in the ninja world.
When he arrived, it was still night time, and so he had time to experiment before going to sleep and prepare everything by tomorrow.
Taro went outside and scanned for anyone guarding the building, but to his surprise, no one was there.
Because of low manpower, guards were increasingly rare, because making a ninja guard instead of fighting to earn money would be useless for a struggling clan like the Hosai Clan. Furthermore, the building was placed at the most central place in the clan for a reason, protection.
Through the cold night of the desert, Taro made his way to the river where some plants can grow.
Although the Land of Wind was mostly made of hospitable desert, there are still oases that are formed, and that's where most clans build their clan around.
Taro took a deep breath, "Here goes nothing!"
He placed a piece of bone meal on the ground and waited. Fortunately, it didn't take long for the grass and flowers to start growing. The speed of growth was rapid and visible to the naked eyes.
Taro's eyes gleamed, "It worked!"
He stored the rest of the bone meal in his inventory and went back home. Once he arrived, he quickly fell asleep on his magical pillow.
-Next Morning-
*Yawn*
Taro yawned as he stood up and got ready for the day. His excitement was palpable. He couldn't wait to feed the starving clansmen and finally be able to give the food he worked so "hard" to harvest.
After getting ready, he went outside and rushed towards his parents house.
It was early in the morning, and many clansmen were just waking up, and that goes the same for his parents.
The door opened and his mom appeared, yawning and still had a dazed look.
"Mom!" Taro yelled, "Where's dad?!"
"Taro?" Asked Katsumi
Before she could ask what he was in a hurry for, Taro entered the house and went inside the living room, where his father would usually be in the morning.
Hearing the loud voice, Mashiro raised an eyebrow and turned around. He saw his child clutching something in his hands, "What is it, son?"
"Dad, do you trust me?"
