Chapter 159 - Chapter 159: Soul Engineer! (BONUS CHAPTER)

"Honored Enforcer—what of this one who struck me?"

Yue Zhengyu clenched his jaw, pointing at Fang Yang, face twisted with fury and resentment.

If he couldn't punish Yuanen for her "evil spirit," then this insolent boy who dared attack him in Shrek City wouldn't walk away unscathed!

"Oh?"

The Enforcer's gaze shifted to Fang Yang, invisible pressure crashing down—cold, probing.

"Enforcer, this was my fault—he only intervened because…"

Yuanen Yehui stepped forward urgently, desperate to explain.

Tang Wulin's group flanked Fang Yang instantly, silent solidarity radiating.

Even facing Shrek's Enforcers, they wouldn't back down.

Fang Yang remained calm, meeting the Enforcer's scrutiny without flinching.

The Enforcer's eyes swept over the seven, settling on Fang Yang:

"Any defense?"

"None," Fang Yang replied flatly.

"He clearly attacked first—!" Yue Zhengyu sputtered, cut off mid-rant.

"Enough."

The Enforcer's voice boomed—absolute, final.

"Yue Zhengyu—this ends here. No further pursuit."

He turned to Fang Yang, tone stern but not unkind:

"Striking within Shrek City violates regulations. Next time, alert the Enforcers first. Understood?"

Fang Yang's eyes flickered with surprise: "Understood."

The Enforcer nodded, dismissing them: "Disperse."

"Remember—no private duels in Shrek City. Resolve disputes through proper channels."

Yue Zhengyu bit back his rage, daring not to defy the Enforcer's glare.

He shot Fang Yang a venomous look, then limped away with his butler.

"Fallen Angel isn't an evil martial soul…heh… no punishment for breaking rules… Shrek's standards are slipping…" Yue Zhengyu muttered bitterly, voice thick with discontent.

"Young Master—this is Shrek," the butler warned softly, caution lacing his words.

Yue Zhengyu opened his mouth—then swallowed his protest, storming off in silence.

---

After the Enforcer left, Yuanen Yehui approached Fang Yang.

"I'm Yuanen Yehui… thank you for your help earlier," she whispered, gratitude softening her voice.

Fang Yang shook his head: "Fang Yang. No need."

"Can I add your soul-guided comm contact?" Yuanen hesitated, cheeks flushing faintly.

"Sure," Fang Yang nodded.

They exchanged contacts. Yuanen gave him one last lingering look—then departed.

"Tsk tsk—only YOU could snag a number so fast," Xie Xie teased, elbowing Fang Yang.

Fang Yang glanced at him—deadpan: "Xie Xie."

"Ahem."

Gu Yue cleared her throat, eyes locking onto Fang Yang.

Xu Xiaoyan blinked up at him—innocent, yet dangerous.

Fang Yang felt the invisible noose tighten.

"Gu Yue, Xiaoyan—I can explain…"

Gu Yue arched a brow: "Explain what?"

Xu Xiaoyan tilted her head, smile sweet: "Yes, Fang Yang—explain what?"

Fang Yang froze—trapped in their serene, lethal gazes.

Words failed him—the more he spoke, the deeper the hole.

Tang Wulin patted his shoulder, barely containing laughter: "Fang Yang—you're on your own."

Xie Xie mouthed "You're doomed!", making Zhang Yangzi and Wang Jinxi snort.

Fang Yang's face darkened. He fixed Xie Xie with a glare: "Xie Xie—you're enjoying this too much. I'll remember this."

"Huh?" Xie Xie gaped. Everyone was laughing—why single him out?!

"You really think I won't?" Fang Yang pressed.

Xie Xie clamped his mouth shut—wisely silent.

"Alright," Gu Yue relented, tone softening. "We'll forgive you… for now."

Xu Xiaoyan nodded: "But next time…"

Fang Yang exhaled in relief: "I swear—this is the last time!"

Gu Yue and Xu Xiaoyan said nothing more.

Only Xie Xie muttered under his breath: "Why am I always the one suffering…"

---

"By the way," Tang Wulin changed the subject, "Teacher Shen said Contribution Points can be earned through academy tasks—not just rankings or exams."

"Let's check out our professional associations!"

They nodded eagerly.

Contribution Points were Shrek's lifeblood—stored on their ID cards, usable for:

- Training resources

- Access to elite facilities

- Mentorship sessions

- Soul Spirit applications

- Ascension Platform bookings—anything legal, purchasable with points.

"Fang Yang—which association will you visit?" Tang Wulin asked.

All eyes turned to Fang Yang.

The Four Secondary Professions were:

- Forging Master

- Mecha Designer

- Mecha Maker

- Mecha Repairer.

But ten thousand years ago, they shared one name:

"Soul Engineer!"

These four were merely fragments of that ancient, unified art.
