Wu Zhangkong led Fang Yang and the others into a high-tech testing chamber.

The room's walls were lined with silver-white alloy, gleaming coldly under the lights—like a world forged from pure silver.

At the center, precision instruments stood in neat rows, their blue indicator lights pulsing softly.

"First—spiritual power test."

Wu Zhangkong held a datapad, his gaze sweeping over the group. "Xie Xie—you're first."

"Again?! Me first?!"

Xie Xie grimaced, muttering under his breath as he trudged toward the device.

The machine whirred to life. Results flashed instantly:

"Spiritual Power: 40 points. (+10 since last test.)"

Respectable for an average Soul Master—but underwhelming in Class Zero's sea of prodigies.

Xie Xie scratched his head, stepping aside with a defeated sigh.

Wu Zhangkong's expression didn't flicker. "Wang Jinxi."

Wang Jinxi approached in silence. The screen displayed: 18 points.

Wu Zhangkong's brow furrowed slightly. "Wang Jinxi—your spiritual power must improve. Without it, you'll struggle to fuse higher-tier soul spirits."

In this era, artificial soul spirits from the Spirit Pagoda were the primary source of soul rings.

But spiritual power had become the critical gatekeeper for absorbing stronger spirits—

a key reason why many clans failed to produce elite Soul Masters.

Wang Jinxi nodded mutely—a shadow of disappointment in his eyes.

Next was Zhang Yangzi.

When the screen showed 41 points, a flicker of pride crossed his face. "Not bad, Teacher Wu?"

"Adequate. Aim to break through to Late Spirit Origin Realm within a year."

Wu Zhangkong's reply was curt.

Testing progressed swiftly—until it was Tang Wulin's turn.

Suddenly—

BEEP! BEEP!

The machine emitted an urgent alert.

The display froze at:

"101 POINTS—LINGTONG REALM!"

"What… how is this possible?!"

Zhang Yangzi gaped, staring at the screen like it had betrayed him.

Wang Jinxi's usual stoicism cracked—shock flashing in his eyes.

Both turned to Tang Wulin—the "useless" Blue Silver Grass user.

"Is that really Blue Silver Grass?!"

Even Xie Xie—Tang Wulin's closest friend—stood slack-jawed.

"Did he eat some immortal herb?! How'd his spiritual power skyrocket like this?!"

When they first met, Tang Wulin's soul power was worse than his own. Now?

Both soul power and spiritual strength had left him in the dust.

Xie Xie's existential crisis deepened:

"Is my twin martial soul… fake? Why am I ALWAYS last in tests?!"

Wu Zhangkong's eyes glinted with approval—then returned to ice. "Fang Yang—you're next."

All eyes locked onto Fang Yang.

Zhang Yangzi and Wang Jinxi especially—burning with curiosity.

How strong was the monster who'd effortlessly blocked their Martial Soul Fusion Skill?

"Yes, Teacher Wu," Fang Yang stepped forward calmly.

The display numbers skyrocketed:

280… 480… 500…

Finally settling at—550.

For Tang Wulin, Xie Xie, and Gu Yue—who'd witnessed Fang Yang's power—this was expected.

Xie Xie even muttered: "Get used to it."

But Zhang Yangzi and Wang Jinxi?

Utterly dumbfounded.

"550?! SPIRIT SEA REALM?! HOW?!" Zhang Yangzi cried out, voice cracking. "Fang Yang's at SPIRIT SEA REALM?!"

The sheer terror hit him like a truck.

Spirit Sea-level spiritual power could sustain cultivation all the way to Seven Rings—the bedrock of legendary Soul Masters.

No wonder their fused attack was swatted aside like flies… This guy's a MONSTER!

"Gu Yue—your turn," Wu Zhangkong's voice carried rare anticipation.

Gu Yue stepped lightly onto the platform.

Moments later—

the screen displayed: 580.

Silence.

Not even a breath stirred the room.

Zhang Yangzi and Wang Jinxi exchanged glances—both seeing mirrored horror.

"Their true strength… was just the TIP of the iceberg?!"

"Fang Yang, Gu Yue," Wu Zhangkong's tone turned grave, "your spiritual power is growing too fast. I'll intensify your mental control training—to ensure perfect mastery."

"Yes, Teacher Wu," they replied in unison.

Yet inwardly, Gu Yue questioned:

"A Golden Dragon King with such overwhelming spiritual power… is this even plausible?"

For Fang Yang, it was obvious:

Without immense spiritual fortitude, how could one control Heavenly Flame—let alone unleash Buddha's Wrath Fire Lotus?

"Next—strength assessment."

Wu Zhangkong led them to a punching-force analyzer.

"Gu Yue—you first."

Shockingly, her physical power matched her spiritual might:

Left fist: 115 kg. Right fist: 143 kg.

"H-HOLY—?!" Zhang Yangzi stumbled backward, nearly collapsing.

Xie Xie swallowed hard—this was the first time he'd seen Gu Yue's brute strength.

Gu Yue turned—a single icy glance at Xie Xie, eyebrow arched.

Zhang Yangzi and Xie Xie nearly sobbed in unison:

"GIVE US A BREAK! Is this a girl? SHE'S A FEMALE TITANOSAUR!"

Zhang Yangzi's turn: Left: 61 kg / Right: 69 kg.

Decent for a Two-Ring Agility-Attack Soul Grandmaster—but after Gu Yue's display, he felt crushed.

When Xie Xie stepped up, his twin martial souls' physique bonus shone:

Left: 153 kg / Right: 164 kg.

He wiped imaginary sweat from his brow—relieved.

This strength was why he'd dominated Wei Xiaofeng in the tournament.

"Next—Wang Jinxi!"

The lanky Wang Jinxi approached.

Left: 423 kg / Right: 468 kg.

His dual-arm strength neared 1,000 kg—far exceeding Two-Ring Strong-Attack norms.

"YES!" Zhang Yangzi cheered—venting his own frustration.

Wang Jinxi allowed himself a rare smile.

"Tang Wulin—you're up!"

Tang Wulin took his place.

Left: 581 kg / Right: 611 kg.

Though deprived of the Golden Dragon King's divine strength, his twin martial souls and Hao Tian Hammer still granted formidable power.

"Fang Yang—again, it's your turn."

Fang Yang—refined by Xuanhuang Flame and Myriad Beast Spirit Fire—possessed unfathomable physical might…
