Chapter 47 - Chapter 47: Turtle School Dominates the Semifinals

"Damn it!"

Giran rubbed his bruised cheek and got back to his feet.

"You little brat! Now you've made me mad! Watch this!"

He swung a huge uppercut straight toward Goku.

But once again, Son Goku didn't retreat. He stepped in close, blocking Giran's punch with his left arm,

then balled his right fist and drove it hard into Giran's gut.

"Ughh!" Giran groaned, clutching his stomach, face twisting in pain.

But Goku gave him no chance to recover.

In a flash, he dashed behind Giran, grabbed his tail, and spun him around—

then slammed him hard against the arena floor.

WHAM!

The impact echoed like thunder. Everyone around the tournament stage heard it loud and clear.

Even the referee was stunned.

"Amazing! Contestant Son's strength is unbelievable!

He's so small, yet he just threw Giran—a giant like that—down with such force!

Incredible!"

Goku looked over at the dazed Giran, who was twitching slightly.

Before the referee could even begin a countdown, Giran slowly pushed himself up again.

Goku blinked, resetting his stance.

But the very next second—

Giran raised a hand and surrendered.

The referee immediately stepped in to declare the result.

"Contestant Son Goku wins!"

Krillin and Chi-Chi shouted with excitement from backstage.

Chi-Chi: "Goku, that was amazing!"

Krillin: "Dude, you're incredible! You beat him in just a few moves!"

Chi-Chi nodded. "Seriously, Goku, that was insane.

You barely even had to try to win.

I, on the other hand, had to throw everything I had just to beat Nam."

Goku gave a light smile. "It's not the same. Nam's strength is way above Giran's."

Chi-Chi blinked in realization—her eyes sparkled.

"Goku, you're incredible… You can even see through that kind of thing?"

Goku chuckled awkwardly. Chi-Chi was back to showering him with praise.

If he got too cocky, he'd just end up looking dumb.

Hanging around with kids this much… he was starting to feel like one himself.

Meanwhile, Jackie Chun (aka Master Roshi) broke into a nervous sweat.

'This kid… He's way too strong. And he's barely used any stamina at all.

Am I really going to lose to my own student?'

Soon, the referee's voice echoed through the arena again:

"After a thrilling round of battles, our tournament's Final Four have emerged!

They are: Contestant Jackie Chun, Contestant Krillin,

Contestant Chi-Chi, and Contestant Son Goku! Let's give them a round of applause!"

Clap clap clap clap!

Thunderous cheers erupted from the stands.

Bulma looked over the final four and shrugged helplessly.

"Seriously? One Turtle Hermit and his three students…

They've completely taken over the semifinals. No one else even made it."

She tilted her head, glancing at Goku. "Still… I gotta hand it to Master Roshi.

To stop them from getting cocky, he even joined the tournament himself just to show them there's always someone stronger.

He may be a perv, but as a teacher… he's solid."

Down in the crowd, reactions were mixed as they looked at the final four—one old man, and three kids.

"Didn't expect this—one senior and three little kids in the top four. Wild!"

"I heard they're all students of Master Roshi!"

"No kidding. The guy's a legend!"

"Yeah, no doubt. Master Roshi trained three of the top four finalists. He really is the God of Martial Arts!"

Hearing the crowd praise not just him but all his students,

Jackie Chun felt a quiet sense of satisfaction swell in his chest.

As the crowd's energy simmered down, the referee resumed the schedule.

"The Fifth Match is about to begin!

Will Contestants Jackie Chun and Krillin please take the stage!"

"Good luck, Krillin!"

"Jackie Chun is strong, but just give it your all!" Chi-Chi encouraged.

Krillin nodded. "Even if I can't beat him, I'll at least wear him down.

There's three of us and only one of him.

The champion of this tournament is going to belong to the Turtle School!"

Chi-Chi's eyes shone bright. "Yeah! Do your best!"

Goku gave Krillin a confident nod.

He knew the truth: that old man was Master Roshi.

Win or lose, the Turtle School had already conquered the tournament.

Unlike earlier rounds, both Krillin and Jackie Chun had fought through several matches to get here.

There was no time for words.

Krillin, knowing he was outmatched, chose to strike first.

He stomped forward and launched a straight punch toward Jackie Chun.

But Jackie Chun wasn't overconfident. He dodged swiftly, leaping back.

Krillin had never expected that first hit to land. His attack shifted immediately—

from punch to side kick, to sweeping roundhouse, to jab, to uppercut—

a flurry of rapid strikes.

Jackie Chun was momentarily overwhelmed, but managed to fend off each attack.

After the exchange, they both backed away.

Jackie Chun smiled. "Not bad. Now I'll get serious."

Krillin braced himself.

In an instant—Jackie Chun moved.

No one saw how he did it.

But suddenly, a blow landed square on Krillin's face.

Before he knew it, his body was sent flying across the ring.

He smashed into the back wall of the tournament arena—

then crashed hard to the ground.

The referee gasped and narrated aloud:

"What just happened?!

Contestant Krillin was sent flying in an instant!"
