Chapter 83 - [83] Victory Sealed, the Hunt Concludes

"Go."

Ross floated slowly in the air and nodded slightly.

With his ability to hear the sea, he could sense that Saint Shamrock was still clearing the first settlement, at a much slower pace than he was.

In addition, a settlement only yielded 100,000 experience points. He wasn't a slave to the system, so he didn't need all the experience points.

Anyway, there were still a lot of experience points to harvest later, so Ross wasn't in a hurry at all.

Buzz!

As was customary, Ross once again unleashed his Conqueror's Haki to clear the area, leaving most people unconscious.

After all, even if there were five thousand pigs, it would be troublesome to clean them up if they ran around.

If they were all unconscious, it would save a lot of time.

With the power of the Bat-Bat Fruit, Model: Vampire and the ability to detect enemies using Observation Haki, Gion's killing speed wasn't too slow.

"Whoosh!"

As Gion drew her golden sword and plunged it into the ground below, thousands of blood-red bats surged from her body and scattered to wreak havoc.

In an instant, the entire settlement was shrouded in blood.

"Saint Ross, a total of 12,142 ordinary enemies, 196 elites, and 2 strongest enemies have been killed. Total score: 143,020 points."

Inside the CP0 organization's temporary command center, the scorekeeper loudly announced Ross's current score.

Upon hearing the score, everyone else fell silent.

This score was alarmingly high.

Celestial Dragons rarely ate Devil Fruits, and since Celestial Hunts were essentially a grand entertainment event for them, they generally didn't bring subordinates with the ability to clear the field.

If their subordinates had killed everyone, then what were the Celestial Dragons left to kill?

Therefore, even on Shamrock's side, the subordinates he brought were mainly supportive. The Arrow-Arrow Fruit user, Gunko, was responsible for movement and finding targets, while the other Candy-Candy Fruit user used the fruit to restore his stamina.

The most crucial source of output was still Shamrock himself.

Ross couldn't be said to have broken the agreement, since it was Ross himself who possessed the Devil Fruit power, and it was only he who had the ability to cause large-scale destruction.

Gion was clearly a swordsman who had eaten a Zoan Devil Fruit, so she didn't have the ability to cause large-scale damage. Her killing speed was about the same as Shamrock's.

The key was that Gion was fast enough; the time it took for the Arrow-Arrow Fruit to travel 1 kilometer was enough for Gion to travel 5 kilometers.

This led to Ross and Gion working together, resulting in a terrifyingly fast killing efficiency.

"There's basically no suspense anymore."

Zephyr grinned. While Shamrock was heading toward the second settlement, Ross was already flying toward the third.

According to the bet between Shamrock and Ross, a settlement was worth roughly between 50,000 and 80,000. Starting with a settlement disadvantage, the gap would only widen later on.

Those pirates and slaves combined only amounted to the size of a settlement, so they wouldn't affect the overall situation. Besides, Ross and Shamrock basically wouldn't bother with these pirates until the very end.

After all, it was a Celestial Dragon's hunt, so even if the two of them stole the spotlight, they still had to leave some for the other Celestial Dragons.

On the deck of the World Government ship, Saint Mars, Saint Saturn, and Saint Garling sat or stood, all looking extremely relaxed and even comfortable.

"You do have a good grandson," Mars said with a chuckle.

He felt a little regretful that it wasn't from his own family.

But since they were the younger generation of the clan and he didn't need to spend his resources to raise them, he was happy to say some nice things.

"They only have some minor tricks up their sleeves, nothing compared to the two from the Figarland family."

Saint Saturn spoke modestly, but his face was undoubtedly filled with a smile.

Even without watching the surveillance footage, the three of them could cover the entire Tigrana Island with their Observation Haki alone. No matter what the slightest disturbance, they would be dispatched immediately.

They would not allow the Rocks incident from a few years ago to happen again.

"I only have one child," Garling said calmly. "If you can't beat them, you can't beat them. Losing a few times is a good thing for Shamrock."

Devil Fruits were also a form of power, but Garling only ever looked at the results.

The truth was, Shamrock might seem good, but he was still not as good as he had been ten years ago.

He had been one of the main forces that resisted the Rocks Pirates when they attacked.

Any one of the Rocks Pirates' officers could easily defeat Shamrock.

The two sides might be evenly matched in terms of strength, but their practical experience was vastly different.

As for Ross encountering a member of the Rocks Pirates, Garling could not give an accurate result yet, after all, Ross had shown too little of his strength, but his ability to manipulate seawater alone was enough to make it difficult for any Devil Fruit user to defend against.

"After this Celestial Hunt, let your child join the Knights of God. What he said just now was right; someone always has to bear the burden."

Because of what Ross had said earlier, Saint Mars had a relatively good impression of him.

Most importantly, since he didn't care about the Knights of God and the Knights of God couldn't affect him, why not do him a favor?

"Let's wait until this Celestial Hunt is over. I'll have to trouble Greenbull to take care of things then." Saturn said with a smile.

After Ross's meteoric rise, whether he could change the course of history or not, at least the succession of the Five Elders was secure.

Even if something happened to him, Ross could step in.

The Five Elders might seem supreme, but their superior was a capricious and unpredictable figure. Who knew if they might suddenly lose their lives over some trivial matter?

Tigrana Island, the deepest and largest settlement of the Tigrians people.

"Splash!!!"

The sky collapsed, and the surging seawater resembled the Milky Way, vast and mighty.

It was as if the god of disaster had descended; the village, built of earth and stone, could not withstand the erosion of the sea.

In an instant, countless ordinary people were swept into the sea, houses were destroyed, trees were uprooted, and no one was spared.

In the first wave alone, nearly 10,000 people died, and fewer than 20 survived.

"Seventeen. The Tigrians tribe has quite a few strong individuals."

Ross hovered in the air, looking down with surprise in his eyes.

Because the settlement was so large, his attacks would be more dispersed.

But if they survived, they'd at least have the strength of a D+.

Daring to challenge the World Government, they must have some strength after all. Otherwise, CP9 alone would have wiped this place out, and it wouldn't have been Celestial Hunt's turn.

"Outsiders, I want you all dead!!!"

On a tall tree below, a dark-skinned middle-aged man, supported by two others, roared angrily at Ross in the air.

[Chief Kurogar]

[Overall Rating: B]

"You must be the chieftain of the Tigrians tribe. All you do is spout tough words, which only shows your weakness and incompetence."

Ross said softly that this was the sixth settlement he and Gion had conquered.

Once they finished destroying this camp, their Celestial Hunt was over.

There were only 10 settlements in total. Shamrock had just finished killing the fourth one and was now heading this way, while they were just finishing off the rest of their settlement.

The outcome was undeniable.
