Chapter 81 - [81] The Bloody Purge Begins

Inside Tigrana Island.

As soon as Ross and his companion set foot on the island, Gion's brows furrowed involuntarily. The sea breeze, carrying the island's unique salty and fishy smell, swept over them, and the distant sound of waves seemed particularly muffled on this small island.

"Careful!"

When Gion shouted instinctively, the surroundings suddenly became agitated.

Ross had just taken a step forward when a group of armed Tigrians rushed out from all directions. Their heavy, rapid footsteps quickly filled the entire beach.

These Tigrians wore distinctive tribal clothing, with exaggerated totems painted on dark fabric, and their bare arms and calves were covered with mysterious symbols. Their faces were painted with simple colors, red and black pigments outlining ferocious expressions.

They all looked at Ross with naked ferocity, regardless of gender.

"Outsiders, get out of Tigrana Island."

Ross didn't even glance at them. He simply turned to look at Gion:

"You still remember the map of Tigrana Island, right?"

"Remember."

Gion nodded slightly; she could sense a faint but palpable killing intent permeating the air.

This group was clearly not very friendly, and judging from Ross's attitude, he didn't seem to intend to waste words with them.

In terms of mass destruction capabilities, she was certainly no match for Ross, but her flight and speed after transforming into a beast were far beyond Ross's reach.

Therefore, her task was clear: to deal with any powerful opponents, lead the way, and memorize the map.

"Very good, take me to their settlement."

"Yes!"

Gion responded and stepped forward, spreading her bat wings, which glowed with an eerie red light in the sunlight.

Before the Tigrian people could react, she had already lifted Ross into the air. The sea breeze howled past them, carrying a salty smell.

"Don't run!"

"You damn outsider, get out of Tigrana Island."

Seeing that Ross and his companion were about to leave, the Tigrian people assumed they were running away and raised their weapons, trying to knock them down by throwing spears and blades.

These people clearly harbored deep hatred for the World Government and the Marines. They would attack anyone they encountered without hesitation.

If they had large ships, they would have already confronted the blockading navy and CP0 head-on. But now they could only vent their anger in the most primitive way.

Gion's movements did not stop. As she flew over the Tigrian people, Ross slowly raised his hand, his slender fingers waving gently.

Instantly, the seawater formed a water barrier around him.

The weapons of the Tigrian tribe fell upon that barrier as if they had immediately lost all momentum, falling helplessly from mid-air.

But the blocking of their throwing weapons clearly couldn't stop the Tigrians' advance. Hundreds of Tigrians surged toward Ross like a tidal wave, amidst the flashing swords and angry roars.

Ross flicked his wrist, and fine water needles appeared out of thin air, like a silver rain curtain falling from the sky.

These water needles gleamed coldly in the sunlight, weaving an invisible net in the air. The Tigrian people didn't even have time to roar before they were enveloped by this sudden attack.

The sound of "swish, swish, swish" was incessant, and each water needle hit its target precisely.

Blood blossoms bloomed in the sunlight.

Accompanied by groans of pain and cries of despair, the stabbed Tigrians collapsed to the ground, convulsing. Their wounds were small yet deadly, as if pierced by countless tiny daggers.

Hundreds of Tigrian people were slaughtered by this terrifying water-based ability before they could even put up a decent fight.

Under the sunlight, the corpses lay scattered, and blood spread across the ground, blending into the sand.

"Saint Ross killed 108 enemies, including 98 ordinary Tigrian tribesmen and 10 elite Tigrian tribesmen, for a total of 1980 points."

Inside a special ship belonging to the CP0 organization, a group of CP0 members were gathered in the command room, where various perspectives were constantly switching on a large screen.

There were first-person live stream perspectives from Ross and Saint Shamrock, as well as bird's-eye views overlooking the entire scene from high above, and observer perspectives from the edge of the forest.

These images, viewed from different angles, showed the battle situation in various areas of Tigrana Island in real time.

In front of the command room, a CP0 member responsible for tallying battle results reported real-time data, and the scorekeeper next to him immediately recorded the corresponding scores on the tactics board.

Zephyr sat in the commander-in-chief's seat, a slight smile playing on his lips.

Although Ross's strength wasn't developed through his teaching, they had sparred frequently. From his initial awkwardness in battle to now being able to hold his own even in matches against opponents of similar strength, this was enough to prove Ross's combat talent.

Given Ross and Gion's abilities, he couldn't even imagine how they could lose.

If Ross weren't currently lacking in stamina, and if the Tora Clan's settlements weren't mostly located inside the island, he could have cleared the area using only his Devil Fruit ability.

"Saint Shamrock killed 82 enemies, including 77 ordinary Tigrian tribesmen and 5 Tigrian tribe elites, for a total of 1270 points."

"His strength was indeed impressive..."

Zephyr's gaze fell on the surveillance screen, watching Shamrock swiftly kill the Tigrian soldiers, and he even straightened his posture slightly.

Although Ross's performance was already amazing, Shamrock's strength also caught his attention.

The two were of similar age, yet both displayed terrifying power. In Zephyr's view, Shamrock's current strength alone was enough to qualify him for the position of Vice Admiral within the Marine.

At this moment, Ross and Shamrock were like two arrows drawn from their sheaths, piercing through the Tigrian tribe's defenses from two different directions.

In contrast, the other Celestial Dragons seemed to be playing house, leisurely participating in this "war" under the protection of slaves and other guards.

"This is the nearest settlement to us."

Gion spread her wings, tracing graceful arcs through the air. In just one minute, she covered a distance of three kilometers and landed near the first settlement.

When they arrived, the village below was still immersed in peace.

Children played and frolicked in the sunshine, women busily prepared for their chores, and the elderly leisurely went about their work. A group of young people gathered together, playing a unique form of entertainment characteristic of the Tigrian people.

Although the Tigrian people knew they were under blockade by the World Government, they rarely left the island anyway, so they naturally didn't take these restrictions seriously.

They simply dispatched a few patrol teams to the coast to investigate, and to report back if anything unusual happened. The people Ross killed earlier were from patrol teams sent out from this settlement.

However, for Ross and his companion, patrols and sentries were all in vain.

With their Observation Haki, no suspicious movement could escape their perception along the way.

Needless to say, given Gion's speed, it was impossible for anyone to get back to the gathering area before them; even sending a remote communication might not be as fast as they arrived.
