Chapter 57 - Chapter 57

When the group of Rōran's citizens arrived at the central tower, they were completely stunned.

This was the very center of the battle that had just taken place.

The sight before them was shocking beyond words.

Collapsed walls littered the surroundings, and the ground was torn apart by exaggerated cracks and deep craters, as if it had been ravaged by some monstrous force.

The tall tower—once the pride of Rōran, standing prosperous and intact—had now partially collapsed, its structure broken and shattered.

For a long moment, no one spoke.

Everyone stood there, dazed and frozen by the devastation.

They simply couldn't imagine what kind of fierce battle could have caused destruction on this scale.

The rakes and wooden clubs clutched in their hands trembled uncontrollably, just like their hearts.

They had come here fully prepared to fight Mukade with nothing but farm tools.

But after seeing this scene, all they felt was relief—relief that they had arrived late, and relief that Konoha's ninja had come to their aid.

At that moment, a familiar system prompt rang continuously in Yagami's mind.

The notifications came one after another, almost without pause.

In just a few minutes, Yagami's prestige had increased by more than three thousand points.

The speed and sheer volume of the gain were both astonishing.

However, Rōran was ultimately a small country. Its population was limited.

After surpassing three thousand points, the prestige growth finally slowed… then completely stopped.

"Sārah."

Just as the people of Rōran were still staring blankly at the ruined battlefield, Yagami walked over to Sārah's side.

"Yagami-san."

She answered immediately when he called her name.

Despite being a queen, there was no sense of authority in her posture. Instead, her temperament felt closer to that of a gentle, ordinary girl.

Yagami looked at her seriously and spoke in a calm, steady tone.

"Have you heard about Yamato and Naruko's origins?"

This kind-hearted and sincere queen made Yagami willing to help her if he could—to change the tragic fate that awaited her in the future.

But everything depended on one thing.

Whether she was willing to give up Rōran.

"…Yes. I've heard about it."

Sārah nodded honestly.

"They're from the future."

She paused, then looked at Yagami with faint confusion. She didn't understand why he was asking her this.

"Since you already know that much," Yagami said, nodding, "then I'll tell you what you don't know."

He fixed his gaze on her, his expression serious.

"In the future, Rōran will be caught up in war and ultimately destroyed. If you want to protect your people… then you must take them away from here."

As he spoke, Yagami raised his hand, intending to rest it on her shoulder.

But after hesitating for a brief moment, he quietly withdrew it.

No matter how small the country was, she was still its queen—its ruler.

"Rōran… will be destroyed?"

Sārah's voice trembled as the weight of his words settled in.

She didn't doubt him.

She simply hadn't expected such an ending.

"…But if we leave," she asked after a long silence, forcing a bitter smile, "where can we go?"

Her voice was filled with sorrow and uncertainty.

This was the land where she had grown up. It was also where her mother had entrusted her final wish.

If there were any other choice, she would never leave.

But when she thought of the people cheering outside—people who trusted her—she couldn't avoid the responsibility she carried as their queen.

Yagami let out a quiet sigh before answering.

"You can go anywhere," he said slowly, "just avoid the borders between major nations. If war breaks out, those areas are always the first to be affected."

With that, Yagami turned and walked toward Kakashi and Tekuna.

That was all he could do.

The rest—where to go, how to survive—would have to be decided by Sārah and the ministers of Rōran themselves.

He had no right to decide her future for her.

He had said what needed to be said. Nothing more, nothing less.

The next morning.

After a night of rest, the exhaustion Yagami had accumulated from yesterday's intense battle had mostly faded.

Fortunately, his system backpack still contained three senzu beans—truly cheat-level items.

They could instantly restore the body from extreme fatigue.

But he didn't use them.

Such things were too precious. They should only be consumed at truly critical moments.

"Let's go."

After informing Kakashi and Tekuna, Yagami took the lead and headed out.

After being away from Konoha for several days… he genuinely missed Mikoto.

At the same time, there was still a lingering question in his heart.

Because of his interference—would Kushina and Minato still meet as they were supposed to?

"Yagami-san, please wait!"

Just as the three of them were about to leave Rōran, Sārah's voice suddenly rang out from behind them.

They turned around to see Sārah running toward them, accompanied by several ministers, all of them slightly out of breath.

"Sārah? Is there something else you need?"

Yagami asked, slightly puzzled.

"Yagami-sama… we… we've discussed it…"

Sārah took a moment to catch her breath before continuing.

"We've decided to take the people of Rōran away from this land. But we don't have a suitable destination. If possible… could you take this letter back with you?"

She held the letter tightly in both hands.

"We wish to settle in the Land of Fire. Please…"

"Please!!"

"Please!!"

As she finished speaking, Sārah bent forward deeply in a formal bow.

Behind her, the ministers of Rōran also bowed at the same time, their heads lowered in unison toward Yagami, Kakashi, and Tekuna.
