The Basement. Seraphina's Intervention and the Final Transaction.
Just as Eleanor's sanity was about to shatter, the basement door opened again. It was Seraphina.
She approached them, her expression sad but resolute.
"You cannot kill him, Eleanor," Seraphina's voice held an ethereal warning. "Because he cannot die. If Alistair dies, the Algorithm in his body will instantly release, destroying half the city."

Eleanor gasped. She not only needed revenge, but she also had to protect innocent lives.
"What are you doing here?" Alistair asked Seraphina coldly, his eyes holding no love, only disgust for the old pain.
Seraphina held up her camera.
"I came to give you a solution, Eleanor," Seraphina looked at Eleanor with a sisterly pity. "The 'Life Contract' Alistair and I signed can be reversed. Alistair originally designed this contract to escape his family's control."

Eleanor stared at her, shocked.
"The reversal of the contract requires a sacrifice," Seraphina said calmly, as if discussing the weather. "My life can buy Alistair's freedom, and it can buy the Algorithm's destruction."
She handed the camera to Eleanor.
"Inside this camera are all the proofs from before Alistair and I signed the contract. Take it. Use it at the family council to expose the truth. This way, the Algorithm will automatically transfer to the Thorne family's core 'vessel'—the Matriarch."

Eleanor's hand trembled as she took the camera. She could use Seraphina's sacrifice to simultaneously complete her revenge and Alistair's salvation.
"Why?" Eleanor choked out. "Why are you willing to die for him?"
Seraphina smiled faintly, a gentleness Eleanor could never fake.
"Because of love, Eleanor," Seraphina said. "And I have been dead for three years. I am only a wraith's projection. But you are different. You are alive. You love him. You can stay with him."
She turned to Alistair.
"Alistair, I have completed my mission. Please let this girl go."

Chapter Nine! Seraphina's "White Moonlight" role achieves the ultimate twist: Sacrifice! She isn't here to claim Alistair, but to redeem him. She gives Eleanor the tools for revenge (the camera evidence) and forces Eleanor to confront her love for Alistair. Next chapter is the final family judgment.
