The carriage jerked gently as it began to move with the rhythmic 'thubs' of hooves on the grass.
While inside the plush cabin, Nico sat with a strained smile plastered on his face, looking directly across at Commander Dove.
"Let me first begin by apologizing for Alaric's behavior towards the esteemed Greater Dragon," Dove began, her gaze shifting briefly to Nom-Nom, who was currently occupied with poking the expensive leather seat cushion, fascinated by how it squished under her finger. "To disrespect someone he does not measure up to even half of... was just shameless. Rest assured, he will be appropriately reprimanded."
[Here we go again...] Nico sighed internally, bracing himself for another round.
Nom-Nom didn't even look up from her investigation of the upholstery. She just flashed a big, distracted smile, "Oh, Master shut him up... and he said sorry too... so it's fine."
