Fort Knightfall no longer slept the way it once had.
Even in peace, the fortress breathed—through the steady rhythm of training, the low hum of mana circulation, and the quiet resolve of those who had survived hell together. The war had passed, but it had carved something permanent into everyone who remained.
At the heart of it all stood Daniel.
And beside him—never behind—stood Miimi and Beth.
Contrary to the whispers that spread beyond the fort, there was no tension between the two women.
There was respect.
There was support.
And slowly, unmistakably, there was friendship.
It began not with grand declarations, but with small moments.
One evening, as the sun dipped behind the battlements, Miimi and Beth sat together on the stone steps overlooking the training grounds. Below them, knights drilled in silence, sweat steaming from their bodies in the cold air.
"You don't flinch when the few arrogant nobles stare at anymore," Miimi said softly.
Beth smiled faintly. "I realized something. If I let their opinions shape me, I'd still be scrubbing floors in fear."
Miimi nodded. "You endured more than most nobles ever could."
Beth turned to her. "You welcomed me when you didn't have to."
Miimi laughed quietly. "I didn't welcome you because I had to. I did it because Daniel chose you."
Beth's gaze softened. "Then we protect what he chooses."
From that night on, they shared meals, conversations, and laughter—quiet, genuine, unforced. The soldiers noticed this new improvement. The red flags training at the fortress noticed.
The world would learn soon enough.
Daniel's training had escalated to a brand new level.
Not in spectacle—but in brutality and sheer endurance and tenacity .
He stood alone in the reinforced lower training yard. it was large its where all the battalion trained, the ground beneath his boots etched with ancient runes. In his hand floated Gravial the fifth blade, its surface calm, its power restrained.
Low power.
Any higher, and the knights training nearby would be reduced to broken bodies—or worse.
Daniel inhaled.
The air thickened then gravial let out a light blue glow along its surface.
Gravity shifted.
The ground pressed inward due to the pressure.
He dropped into a stance and began moving training controlling all his five swords in perfect coordination, Scarlune releases fire and he intentionally combines it with the ice blade glacial , on impact releasing a burst of hot steam flying out over a hundred metres from where he was standing, then sends vorruth in that distraction thrusting outwards.
Every step felt like walking through deep water. Every punch tore muscle fibres apart before hiss tenacity reforging them stronger. His bones screamed as compressed force crushed them inward, forcing them to adapt or shatter amidst the pain his concentration did not break.
Sweat poured down his face.
His breathing remained controlled.
The knights watched in silence.
Maria clenched her fists. "That pressure… even watching hurts."
Prince Aaren swallowed. "If he used full power, we would be squashed into meat paste."
Daniel lunged forward—then slammed his fist into the air.
The shockwave didn't explode outward.
It collapsed inward back at him.
The runes flared and cracked no longer able to withstand the force exerted by Daniel.
The ground cratered—and dented inwards, precise.
Daniel exhaled slowly.
Gravial dimmed.
That was enough—for now.
Later that night, Daniel sat at the long marble stone table inside the fortress hall, bandages still visible beneath his shirt. Miimi poured tea. Beth prepared food without being asked.
Daniel watched them for a moment.
"You don't need to do this," he said.
Beth met his gaze calmly. "We want to."
Miimi smiled. "Let us."
They sat together—no guards, no titles.
Just three people who had chosen one another.
Eating together but silent.
Beth broke the silence. "I used to think strength was inherited."
Daniel raised an eyebrow.
"I was wrong," she continued. "Strength is built… slowly. Painfully."
Miimi nodded. "And protected."
Daniel leaned back, studying them both. "You understand the cost of standing beside me."
Beth didn't hesitate. "We chose it."
Miimi reached for his hand. "Together." Beth too came and they both hugged him tight, they then said ''Daniel ur our husband don't forget that we chose you and are willing to satisfy any of your wishes''
For the first time in a long while, Daniel allowed himself to rest.'' he said i want both of you start putting on your jewellery, your both beautiful but I like it when your at your maximum beauty'' the two women held him tighter letting their perfumes to linger in the air, we love you, miimi and beth both whispered in both his ears. That night Daniel had the best night of his life, because both this beauties were virgins, . unexplored lands, this made his bond with the two women, grow even stronger.
At dawn, the fort shook again, sounds of the knights standing on the tough reinforced grounds.
Daniel stood before the Red Flags Battalion, Gravial hovering at his side, its presence alone enough to make the air feel heavier.
"Today," Daniel said evenly, "you will train under pressure.". some remembering what that blade can do.
The knights tensed with horrified expressions on their faces.
He activated Gravial—barely.
Even at its lowest setting, gravity intensified.
Knees buckled.
Spines bent. the knight s were crunching their teeth together, veins bulged on their faces.
Muscles screamed.
"Move," Daniel commanded.
now swing your weapons and perform your moves at top speed and don't stop.
Slowly. Painfully. Relentlessly. they struggled to move their bodies.
Maria crawled forward, teeth clenched, refusing to fall. trying her hardest but her whip couldn't even move it was impossible to move it around. Aaren drove his spear into the ground and hauled himself upright inch by inch. trying to perform his moves like spinning the spear but it didn't move as he wanted, it was very difficult to do so. but he was being driven by the memory of Eeseren who used to annoy him. but at the same time make him happy still in the cocoon recovering. this memory drove him even harder with determination, he kept trying hard repeatedly.
The Mawaazi brothers moved together, supporting each other without words.
Miimi and Beth watched from the ramparts.
"This will change them," Beth whispered.
Miimi nodded. "They were already changed, lets say it will make them even stronger." and your brother is among the strongest among them, was he always like that?, miimi asked.
Then Beth answered, he was the weakest among his brothers, but also had a personality of an unbreakable will, he didn't give up even when he's being bullied or outnumber, he never gives in to anything or anyone. our father saw his potential for a knight so he brought him here, because he was being targeted by the crown prince at that time. but now look at him, every time i look at him , my heart fills with pride.
After what felt like an eternity, Daniel cut the gravity field.
Bodies collapsed.
But no one complained.
They had survived.
That night, a storm rolled over Fort Knightfall.
Thunder echoed.
Rain struck stone.
Inside Daniel's chambers, a single lamp burned.
Miimi sat beside him, carefully changing the wrappings on his arm feeling his tough abs around his abdominal region. Beth knelt nearby, preparing fresh bandages, her movements practiced and gentle.
"You push yourself too far," Miimi murmured.
Daniel exhaled. "If I stop, others die its the cruel rule in this world, the strong always prey on the weak."
I am preparing for the next demon monarch, ''He then straightened his body, the last one was very strong, and I know the next one will be a strong monstrosity ,. So before that time comes I have to get stronger and prepare a truly strong army against the demon legions that are attacking the human continent, I don't want to behave like puny little nobles with common selfish interests I want to fight for humanity, I want humans to make it through this war, but I am only one man and I can't be everywhere at the same time, so I resulted to build an army strong enough to fight back, . i know you both have questions abought my army but you should remember each and every one of them has a true warrior spirit, they don't know fear and they fight for what is right, with that I selectively selected those who were on the brink of death, and took them in trained them and made them the warriors they are today.
Beth looked up. "You don't carry that burden alone anymore."
Daniel met her eyes and smiled.
Miimi placed her hand over his chest. "We're here."
Silence followed—thick, intimate, safe.
Daniel finally spoke. "I don't regret choosing either of you."
Beth smiled softly. "Good."
Miimi laughed. "Because we don't regret choosing you."
They leaned together—not in desperation, but trust. and that night was another one printed in his memory, due to his abnormal strength, he had to work on both his wives at the same time. all his wives liked it when he was being dorminative and rough,
Outside fort knightfall, the storm passed.
Weeks went by.
The Red Flags grew terrifyingly in both group and individual strength.
Their movements sharpened. Their mana cores condensed. Their eyes carried the calm of those who had endured pressure itself.
Rumours spread.
Fort Knightfall is no longer a fort.
It's a forge that only the strongest of men live and train endlessly.
And at its center stood Daniel—with Miimi and Beth at his side, not as ornaments, but as anchors.
Beth handled correspondence and alliances for the Battalion. Miimi oversaw finances and logistics, making sure the payment to soldiers family reach them.
This was Daniels idea for him to grow his influence around the human kingdom, he would use his wives to make negotiations that will build and connect the battalion to more powerful and influential people in the human continent ,building an information network, this was to give more information to the battalion incase of an invasion, random portals, and threatening mercenary groups
Together, they became indispensable.
One evening, the three stood atop the highest tower, stars stretching endlessly above them.
"The world will test us again," Daniel said.
Beth nodded. "Let it."
Miimi smiled. "We'll face it together."
Daniel looked at them—truly looked.
"I won't promise safety," he said. "Only truth."
Beth stepped closer. "That's enough."
Miimi reached for both their hands. "We'll make it enough."
Below them, Fort Knightfall stood unbroken.
Above them, fate waited.
And for the first time, Daniel did not face it alone.
