Lost Meller Wetland
At an entrance to the Lost Meller Wetland, a three-person team had assembled.
"Hey, I'm telling you, is it really okay for you to dress like this?" Kevin asked, looking at Menchi.
"Does it look good?" Menchi generously showed herself off, even raising her hand to spin around once.
She was wearing a crop top paired with ultra-short hotpants, which was indeed cool and looked good, fully displaying her figure, but this outfit seemed inappropriate for entering the jungle.
"It looks good." Kevin didn't spare any praise, even giving a thumbs-up and saying, "Very nice."
"Pervert."
"Everyone has a love for beauty." Kevin had a thick skin and didn't care about this at all.
Buhara sighed helplessly from the side, then his expression became a little strange, and he lowered his head and said, "Menchi isn't an adult yet."
"What?!" Kevin exclaimed, scanning Menchi up and down with a suspicious look on his face, thinking in disbelief: You're telling me this is a minor?
"Idiot! I became an adult a long time ago, I was already an adult when I became a Hunter!" Menchi shouted angrily from the side, clenching her fists.
"Where I come from, fourteen is considered adult, and I only applied to become a Hunter after I became an adult!"
"But according to the laws of the Gu Gan Yu Kingdom, you're not an adult until you're eighteen, right?" Buhara said, spreading his hands.
"Then that law is unreasonable! Most countries consider sixteen to be adult, and I'm already sixteen this year!"
She's developed really well, Kevin couldn't help but sigh in his heart. But he said aloud: "Becoming a Hunter at such a young age, you're truly gifted and amazing."
"Hmph hmph." Menchi hummed twice proudly.
Then she stared at Kevin and said, "Don't worry, I came prepared."
As she spoke, she somehow pulled out a bottle similar to a spice shaker and sprinkled it on herself twice like perfume, causing some crystalline dust to float out.
"This is Fragrant Numb Flower spice, it can repel insects and mosquitoes." After saying that, she strode into the wetland.
As Gourmet Hunters, their only purpose for coming here was naturally to obtain ingredients.
"You weren't sent by Begel to monitor us, were you?" Menchi asked angrily as she walked.
"He's too cautious! I'd protect rare animals too, how could I just hunt and kill them?" Menchi put her hands on her hips and muttered to herself.
If I did that, I wouldn't be able to eat them in the future, who would wipe them all out?
Kevin ignored her and instead turned to look at Buhara next to him.
Facing Kevin's gaze, Buhara reached up and scratched his cheek, turning his face away.
Clearly, as Menchi's partner, he understood her personality best.
If she really saw something she liked, even an extremely precious ingredient, Menchi probably wouldn't think too much about it.
"Hey, even your partner doesn't quite believe you!"
"Hmph." Menchi just snorted coldly without retorting, it seemed she herself knew she was just saying it.
Kevin sighed helplessly, waved his hand, and said, "Don't worry, I'm not here to monitor you. I'm just going in with you since we're on the way. After all, I'm also here to obtain the [Materials] I want."
During this gap period a few months before the Hunter Exam, Kevin accepted Begel's invitation to come here, hoping to obtain materials and broaden his horizons.
"Furthermore, I'm also full of curiosity about what are called Gourmet Hunters." After all, everyone has desires for food, and he had heard Begel say that every Gourmet Hunter was a world-class chef.
Even the most luxurious restaurants couldn't afford to pay a high price to hire a Gourmet Hunter as their head chef.
Most importantly, Kevin wanted to know if Gourmet Hunters used their Nen Ability when preparing food, and if the food they made would have special effects, like his own "A Moment's Dream".
If that were truly the case, then he would have to make good friends with these two Gourmet Hunters. Who wouldn't want friends like that?
"Materials?" Menchi turned her head and asked curiously. After all, they were also here to obtain "ingredients."
Kevin nodded: "I'm very interested in all sorts of rare materials, whether they're from creatures, plants, or minerals." As he spoke, he took out a tube of potion from the special leather belt on his side.
"I'm a pharmacist, so if you ever have any needs in the future, you can contact me." Kevin said with a smile.
He understood in his heart that it was impossible to personally obtain all materials. It was naturally better to entrust some tasks to others, such as Hunters.
After all, Hunters come in all shapes and sizes and are experts in obtaining various materials. Kevin figured it should be no problem to ask them to help obtain some materials that weren't too difficult.
Of course, this required a lot of wealth, as entrusting Hunters cost quite a bit of money.
So he had already planned to accumulate wealth by selling "potions". Even the lowest-grade potion products had very significant effects, far surpassing ordinary medicines on the market.
Although there were still some side effects at the moment, compared to the medicinal effects, they were completely within an acceptable range. What other way was there to make more money than selling medicine?
If no one else had a Nen Ability similar to his, then this would be a monopoly business.
"Pharmacist?" Menchi looked puzzled, she really hadn't seen it.
Buhara lowered his head, and Nen gathered in his eyes. He had already detected the Nen attached to the potion, which was clearly a product of Nen Ability.
Kevin thought to himself, Menchi only became a Hunter at the beginning of this year. Although she had already learned Nen, she might not have mastered it yet, and he didn't know if she had developed her own Nen Ability.
Buhara had most likely finished developing his, since he said he had already become a Hunter last year.
After all, not every teacher was as amazing as Bisky, otherwise Jin wouldn't have specifically entrusted Bisky to teach him.
According to Begel, the standard for Hunters teaching newcomers was just for the student to grasp basic Nen. As for how proficient they could become, it depended entirely on the teaching teacher's character and teaching ability.
"That's right, my Nen Ability is to create potions like this, which can produce various effects." Kevin said frankly.
This was actually a strategy, not really deception, as his equipment had already revealed relevant information.
The special pouch on his waist that held the potions was very conspicuous; anyone who wasn't an idiot could see it. This wasn't something that needed to be deliberately hidden anyway.
This way, anyone attempting to fight him would be misled into thinking he wasn't a Strengthening System user.
If he drank a potion during a fight, the enemy would also think it was the potion's effect that allowed him to display powerful Nen.
Faced with Kevin's sudden frankness, Menchi and Buhara felt a sense of pressure from the trust for a moment and fell silent for a while.
"If there's a chance, I'll definitely let you see it." Kevin waved his hand to smooth things over, then changed the subject and asked, "You came all the way here specifically, you must have a target, right? After all, some of the unique creatures here are mentioned in rumors and records."
Hearing this, Menchi immediately nodded excitedly.
"I've been researching dessert making recently, and I heard there's a type of turtle here that has strawberries growing on its back, so I wanted to come and see."
Strawberry Killing Turtle, huh...
