CHAPTER 132 — TRIAL OF STONE AND FANG
The first golem moved like a collapsing cliff.
Its stone foot crashed into the chamber floor, cracks spidering outward in jagged lines. The other constructs followed in synchronized motion, massive torsos grinding forward, amber eyes burning in hollow sockets carved deep into featureless faces.
Zehell did not hesitate.
"Formation!" she snapped.
Bronze Squad reacted instantly.
Marek pivoted left, blade drawn in a low defensive arc. Colby dropped back toward the chamber entrance, bow already strung. Zehell planted herself directly in front of Long Hao.
He stepped forward instead.
"I can't hide behind you."
"You're not hiding," she shot back without looking at him. "You're thinking."
The first wave reached them.
And then—
The stone split.
Not shattered.
Softened.
The massive constructs mid-charge liquefied as if their internal cohesion collapsed. Their outer stone armor crumbled, revealing thick, dark mud beneath.
