Chapter 109: Friends of the Addams Family - Stay for Dinner!

Gomez's roar echoed like thunder through the ancient mansion.

In the basement, Tully and Abigail's faces went white.

"How did he get here?!" Tully dropped the poker in his hand, panicking.

"What's there to be scared of!" A vicious glint flashed in Abigail's eyes. "Perfect—we'll trap them all at once! Gordon, go stop him!"

Gordon stood rooted to the spot, unmoving, his eyes hollow, as if he hadn't heard his mother's command.

"Are you deaf? I said move!" Abigail rushed over and shoved him hard.

Gordon stumbled, then looked up, staring at his mother with an unfamiliar expression he'd never shown before. In his eyes, there was no longer the usual weakness and obedience—only cold disappointment.

In the mansion's great hall, chaos had already erupted.

Gomez, relying on his knowledge of the terrain and his mad, fearless love, wielded his rapier and clashed with Tully, the lawyer who'd rushed over at the sound. Blades flashed, furniture shattered, and the two men fought like madmen—from the stairs to the chandelier, then rolling from the chandelier onto the carpet.

Wednesday and Pugsley weren't sitting idle either. Pugsley pulled a stop sign from his coat and swung it viciously at the back of Tully's head. Meanwhile, Wednesday calmly climbed to the second-floor gallery and untied the ropes securing a massive suit of armor.

With a thunderous crash, the armor fell from above, landing precisely at Tully's feet, scaring him half to death.

Just as the hall descended into pandemonium, Edward had already circled around to the side of the mansion. He looked up at the small, high, barred window of the basement.

"CRASH!"

Edward launched himself straight up, smashing through the small window along with the twisted iron bars, and landed on the stone floor of the basement in an extremely dramatic fashion.

The explosive sound startled both Abigail and Gordon, who were in a tense standoff.

They whirled around and saw a young man covered in glass shards, casually brushing himself off as if he'd merely jumped down from a curb.

"Who the hell are you?!" Abigail shrieked.

Edward ignored her, his gaze falling directly on Morticia, who was bound to the rack. He walked over, his hands gripping the thick iron shackles binding Morticia's wrists.

With two sharp snaps, the steel cuffs were forcibly broken by him.

Morticia flexed her wrists and sat up from the rack. She looked at Edward, an elegant and charming smile appearing on her pale face: "Thank you, young knight. Your entrance was quite theatrical."

"My pleasure, ma'am," Edward replied with a smile.

This scene completely stunned Abigail and Gordon.

"Freaks! You're all freaks!" Abigail retreated in horror, unable to comprehend what was happening before her eyes.

Just then, Gordon moved.

He didn't charge at Edward, nor did he obey his mother's command to deal with Gomez. Instead, he turned and, stumbling, ran in the opposite direction—toward the depths of the mansion, to the long-sealed library.

Only one thought filled his mind. His mother was right—he was useless. But he didn't want to continue like this. The Addams family had treated him as one of their own, so he would resolve all this in a family way.

Gordon rushed into the massive and gloomy library, and guided by the implanted memories, he stumbled to a towering bookshelf. He climbed the ladder and pulled out a thick, ancient tome bound in what appeared to be human skin from the top shelf.

The book's cover bore ancient script—"The Handbook for the Recently Deceased."

He jumped off the ladder, opened the book, and with a trembling voice, loudly recited an obscure and difficult incantation.

The moment he uttered the last syllable, the entire library began to shake violently. Books on the shelves rustled, and swirling currents of air appeared from nowhere.

A powerful and irresistible force erupted from the center of the library!

Gomez and Tully, who were locked in combat in the hall, as well as Abigail, who'd just rushed in, were all sent reeling by the sudden gust of wind.

"What the hell is this?!" Tully cried out in terror.

The wind grew stronger and stronger, quickly forming a visible hurricane that raged indoors!

Window panes exploded, curtains and tapestries were torn to shreds, flying everywhere.

Abigail and Tully, these two outsiders, were powerless against this magical force originating from the Addams family bloodline. Like two rag dolls, they were swept up by the gale, letting out piercing screams, and were violently blown out through the shattered windows, disappearing into the dark night beyond the mansion.

Gomez, Morticia, and the children, however, seemed to be gently bypassed by the storm, standing steadily in place.

At the center of the storm, Gordon held the magic book, his body trembling in pain from the immense power coursing through him.

As the hurricane subsided and everything returned to calm, a golden lightning bolt suddenly shot out from the pages of the book, striking precisely on Gordon's bald head.

"AAAHHH—!"

Gordon screamed, convulsing as he fell to the ground, his entire body going rigid, smoke rising from him.

"Fester!" Gomez exclaimed, rushing over with Morticia.

The family gathered around the fallen Gordon, their expressions worried.

A few seconds later, Gordon's fingers twitched. He slowly opened his eyes, and his gaze was no longer filled with weakness and confusion, but clear, familiar recognition with a hint of bewilderment.

He looked at Gomez, who was filled with concern, his lips moving several times.

"Gomez?" His voice was hoarse and uncertain.

"It's me, Fester! It's me, brother!" Gomez excitedly gripped his hand.

"Brother..." Gordon—no, it should be Fester now. He looked at Gomez, and fragments of memory flooded his mind like a tidal wave. The Bermuda Triangle accident, twenty-five years of amnesia, being discovered and exploited by Abigail... Everything became crystal clear.

That lightning bolt, instead of killing him, had cured his amnesia.

He truly was Fester Addams.

"Brother!" Fester's eyes welled up with tears, and he abruptly sat up, embracing Gomez tightly.

A life-threatening crisis ultimately came to a perfect end in the most Addams way possible.

Home was restored. Family was reunited.

In the warm (or rather, macabre) atmosphere of post-disaster survival, everyone's gaze focused on the young man who'd remained unusually calm throughout.

Edward was leaning against the doorframe, leisurely observing this touching scene of family reunion.

Gomez released his brother and strode over to Edward. He didn't ask many questions, simply extended his hands and pressed them firmly on Edward's shoulders, his eyes filled with genuine gratitude.

"Young man, I don't know how to thank you. Your appearance was like fate itself, saving my family." Gomez's voice was loud and passionate. "From this day forward, you, Edward Connor, are a friend of the Addams family for life!"

He stepped back, making an elegant, sweeping gesture.

"To celebrate all that's been restored, you must stay and dine with us! We've prepared... some family specialties."

Edward looked at the enthusiastic smile on Gomez's face, then glanced at Wednesday's expressionless but seemingly expectant face beside him.

Dinner at the Addams family mansion?

Edward smiled: "I'd be honored."
