Chapter 42: Welcome to the House of Horrors Part - 2

"No... no!!!" she finally managed to scream, but it was filled with pure terror.

Hadn't she already escaped? Hadn't she already become "Esther" with the Coleman family? Why had she returned to this hellhole?

"Leena Klammer, settle down." A woman in a nurse's uniform with a stern face walked over, holding a large syringe. "You're having another episode. Looks like yesterday's sedative dose wasn't strong enough."

"I'm not Leena Klammer! I'm Esther! Let me go!" She struggled frantically, but the restraints only tightened, digging painfully into her wrists.

"Poor thing, you always imagine yourself to be someone else." The nurse's face showed perfunctory sympathy, but the needle in her hand mercilessly pierced Esther's arm.

The cold liquid flooded into her veins, and a powerful wave of weakness and drowsiness washed over her.

But she couldn't sleep! She knew that if she fell asleep, she'd never wake up again!

Just as her consciousness was about to fade, a sweet, mocking voice sounded in her ear.

"How do you like the 'trip down memory lane' I prepared for you, big sister Esther?"

Lily's figure materialized out of thin air beside the hospital bed. She still looked like a ten-year-old girl, but in her hand was a thick medical file with "LEENA KLAMMER - HYPOPITUITARISM - EXTREME DANGER" written in bold red letters.

"This is... you did this?" Esther's consciousness cleared for a moment. She looked at Lily and finally understood.

This wasn't reality—this was an incredibly vivid nightmare.

"Now then, tell me what you really are," Lily closed the medical file and looked down at Esther.

"I... I'm Esther..." Leena Klammer was still being stubborn.

"Wrong answer." Lily shook her head and snapped her fingers.

The surrounding scene instantly changed. She was no longer strapped to the bed but standing in an art studio, facing her "father," John.

John was looking at her tenderly, but the next second, his wife Kate and son Daniel appeared behind him, glaring at her with murderous hatred.

"It's you, you freak! You tried to seduce John!"

"Kill her! She needs to die!"

The mother and son raised knives and lunged at her!

"No!"

The scene shifted again. She was back in the Saarne Institute, back on that cold bed.

"Now, answer me one more time. What are you?" Lily's voice echoed again.

Fear completely shattered Leena Klammer's last psychological defense.

"I... I'm a thirty-three-year-old woman with a hormonal disorder disguised as a nine-year-old girl..." She used all her strength to utter this humiliating truth.

"Good girl." Lily nodded in satisfaction. "Remember your place. From now on, be a good little 'Esther' and don't get any ideas. Otherwise, we can play this game every single day."

On the other side, Emma's experience was equally nightmarish.

Her world didn't turn into a psychiatric facility but into a frozen wasteland.

She was standing on a frozen lake, and in front of her was her former classmate.

"Emma! Give me back my medal! That's mine!" Her classmate shouted angrily at her.

"You couldn't win it yourself, so why is it yours?" Emma held the gold medal, a contemptuous smile on her face.

This was one of her proudest moments.

She hadn't just stolen the other girl's glory—she'd completely eliminated this annoying rival.

"You thief!" Her classmate furiously lunged at her.

Emma deftly sidestepped, then extended her foot, precisely tripping the other girl, while simultaneously shoving with her hand.

"Ahhh—!"

Her classmate slipped on the ice, the back of her head striking a jagged ice shard. Blood instantly gushed out, staining the pristine white ice crimson.

Emma watched the other girl convulse, slowly losing consciousness, a satisfied smile on her face.

However, the next second.

"Emma! Give me back my medal! That's mine!"

The exact same words, the exact same scene.

Her classmate stood in front of her, perfectly fine, and lunged at her again.

Emma froze for a moment, subconsciously repeating her previous actions.

Push down, head strike, bleeding, dying.

"Emma! Give me back my medal!"

Again!

Push, die.

"Emma! Give me back my medal!"

Once, twice, ten times, a hundred times...

The initial thrill gradually turned into numbness, eventually evolving into irritation and dread.

This "masterpiece" she was so proud of had become an inescapable, infinitely looping nightmare.

"Just stay dead already!" Emma finally snapped. She screamed, no longer pushing the other girl down methodically, but pouncing on her, trying to strangle her with her hands, bite her with her teeth.

But each time, when the other girl "died," everything would reset.

Just as she was about to be driven insane by this endless loop, Lily's figure appeared beside her.

She didn't speak, just quietly watched Emma, a hint of amusement on her face, as if watching a bug struggling in a jar.

Emma stopped her actions. She gasped for breath, looking at Lily. She wasn't afraid; instead, a strange fire burned in her blue eyes.

"Is this your power?" Emma's voice was hoarse.

"Do you like it?" Lily asked back.

Emma didn't answer. She just stared intently at Lily, and then, a brilliant, twisted smile slowly bloomed on her face.

"Yeah."

With a soft sound, the illusion shattered like glass.

Emma and Esther simultaneously returned to reality. Both collapsed on the living room floor, drenched in cold sweat, gasping for air.

Lily was sitting on the couch, her little legs swinging, holding a juice box of Hawaiian Punch, sipping it with soft slurping sounds through the straw.

She looked at the two on the floor, tilted her head, and showed an innocent smile.

"Welcome to the family, my dear sisters. From now on, we're gonna get along great."

Emma was the first to get up from the floor. She smoothed out her dress, walked to the couch next to Lily, sat down, grabbed another juice box, and started drinking it just like her.

Esther struggled to stand up. She looked at Lily, then at the disturbingly calm Emma next to her, her blood running cold.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

And in this fire, there wasn't just one demon, but also a sadistic little monster who enjoyed torturing people, and a pint-sized psycho who reveled in chaos.

Things were getting more interesting, and way more dangerous.

Emma took a sip of juice, then turned to look at Lily, her eyes sparkling with twisted fascination.

She realized that this new "home," this new "sister," was far more interesting than she'd ever imagined.

This pure, unfiltered evil—she absolutely loved it.

[Back at Jennifer's house]

Edward emerged from Jennifer's bedroom several hours later, looking refreshed and satisfied.

Jennifer followed him to the door, now fully dressed in casual clothes that somehow looked runway-ready on her enhanced form. The [Threads of Desire] were safely tucked away, but their effect had left a permanent mark—her aura was different now, more alluring, more dangerous.

"When will I see you again, Master?" she asked, her voice carrying that husky undertone that hadn't been there before.

"Soon," Edward promised, kissing her forehead. "You'll know when I need you."

As he walked back to where he'd parked the Fenrir, Edward couldn't help but smirk.

Between the demonic daycare happening at home and his newly awakened succubus, his life was turning into the world's weirdest harem anime.

"At least it's never boring," he muttered, straddling his motorcycle.

The engine roared to life, and Edward headed home, wondering what kind of carnage—or at least what kind of mess—he'd find when he got there.

He had a feeling that his three "little sisters" had been having their own kind of fun.
