On the second floor, King Nalvon and his guards remained dumbfounded as they examined the details of the bathroom in the soldiers' quarters.
The walls were adorned with carvings made of pure silver, softly reflecting the light of the magic lamps. The floor was paved with exquisite ceramic tiles featuring precise geometric patterns, something usually found only in the residences of high nobility.
Even more surprising was the size of the bathroom; it was more spacious than the standard of any military barracks. And unlike ordinary bathrooms that combined all functions, the toilet here was located behind another door within the bathroom itself, ensuring maximum hygiene and comfort for its users.
King Nalvon shook his head in disbelief at this unreasonable luxury. He imagined how comfortable his soldiers would feel if assigned to escort using this carriage.
While the King was admiring the facilities, Kazien suddenly spoke in a slightly more serious tone, drawing the attention of everyone in the room.
"Your Majesty, luxury is not the only thing I offer here. Security is the main priority." Kazien stated, pointing to several small magical devices installed on the ceiling.
"What do you mean?" the King asked.
"If anyone harbors malicious intent inside here, whether to peep, spy, attempt rape, murder, steal, commit treason, and so on, the carriage's defense system will react automatically. They will be instantly incapacitated by immense mana pressure, and an emergency signal will blare loudly to alert the other inhabitants."
Then, Kazien continued, "So, do not expect anyone to be able to commit any crime inside here. This system does not discriminate."
Hearing that explanation, King Nalvon was even more amazed by the masterpiece Kazien had created for the royal family. He felt the burden of worry regarding the safety of long journeys lift instantly.
Amazing! This carriage is truly amazing! King Nalvon thought. This is definitely the safest place for shelter, perhaps even safer than the border fortress.
"Let us proceed to the highest floor, Your Majesty." Kazien invited.
They then climbed the stairs to the third floor. The atmosphere here felt far more serene and classy. A thick red carpet lined the hallway, muffling the sound of their footsteps.
Along the third-floor corridor, the King saw eight doors facing each other on the left and right, as well as a large door at the end of the hall that looked the most majestic.
"What rooms are these?" King Nalvon asked, pointing to the row of doors.
"All these facing doors are rooms for the high royal officials accompanying you on your journey. Meanwhile, the large door at the end of the hall is the main entrance to the private area belonging to the royal family." Kazien explained.
King Nalvon nodded in understanding. Kazien then opened one of the high officials' rooms to show its interior.
As the door opened, opulence greeted their eyes once again. The walls were not plain but featured unique and beautiful carvings made of a blend of gold and silver, forming elegant vine motifs.
The King looked down, observing his footing. The floor was made of beautiful ceramic with mesmerizing delicate spiral carvings. Patterns and quality of tiles like this were not possessed even by the current royal palace.
They continued the tour and entered the sanitation area. The bathroom was quite spacious, larger than those on the second floor. Uniquely, there were two separate toilet doors inside the bathroom, perfectly separating the wet and dry areas.
"Extraordinary... My ministers will surely fight to join official trips if the facilities are like this." King Nalvon joked. He felt very satisfied with the room's design.
"Now, let us see the main part, Your Majesty." Kazien said as he walked toward the end of the hall.
They approached the large door belonging to the royal family. Kazien opened it, and King Nalvon prepared himself to see a gigantic bedroom.
However, his expectations were slightly off. Behind the large door, they didn't immediately see a bed, but rather another private corridor with eight doors facing each other. It turned out the royal family area was designed like a luxury villa containing multiple bedrooms within it.
"All the details inside these eight rooms are identical. Everything is the same. So there will be no fighting over rooms between the princes or princesses." Kazien explained while opening one of the bedroom doors.
King Nalvon, overwhelmed with curiosity, immediately went inside.
Upon entering, his breath hitched.
Good heavens! What am I seeing here? Does this deserve to be called a bedroom? It looks more like a treasure vault!
King Nalvon's eyes roamed every inch of the room. The walls had carvings made of pure gold and silver that shimmered under the light. However, the most striking feature was the floor. The flooring used glossy plain black ceramic, but it possessed intricate carving patterns made of liquid gold and silver that had solidified, creating a color contrast that was incredibly luxurious and elegant.
Kazien then led the King toward the bathroom inside the room.
"The interior layout of the bathroom is not much different from the high officials' rooms earlier. But there is only one thing distinguishing the two!" Kazien stated, pointing to a large bathtub in the corner of the room.
"What is it?" King Nalvon asked curiously, squinting his eyes to identify the material of the bathtub that shimmered with a bluish hue.
"The bathtub for the royal family to soak in... is made entirely of pure mythril."
King Nalvon's eyes went wide, almost popping out of their sockets. His jaw dropped.
"What did you say? Pure mythril?!" the King exclaimed in a hoarse voice. "Isn't that one of the rarest and hardest mining materials in the world? And you turned it into a bathtub?!"
For a King, mythril was a material for making legendary swords or royal armor that was incredibly strong and sturdy, not a basin to hold water for soaking.
Seeing the King's shocked reaction, Kazien only answered with a wide, satisfied smile in front of him. He seemed to enjoy the incredulous expression of the kingdom's ruler. That reaction made King Nalvon truly unable to comprehend the train of thought of the genius youth before him.
Kazien cleared his throat softly, snapping the King out of his shock. "Your Majesty, are you satisfied with this royal carriage I made?"
King Nalvon took a deep breath, trying to neutralize his heartbeat. "I am very satisfied! Very, very satisfied! I never expected this royal carriage to be so luxurious. Especially the gold, silver, and mythril... That is all very expensive! The value might exceed the kingdom's budget for a whole year!"
Kazien nodded politely, his eyes implying sincerity. "Consider it my expression of gratitude because you are willing to execute Marina Delfilian along with her entire family. The justice you uphold is very valuable to me, more than just gold or mythril."
Hearing Marina's name mentioned, King Nalvon's cheerful face slowly turned serious again. The euphoria of seeing the new carriage slowly receded, replaced by the authority of a leader bearing a heavy duty.
King Nalvon recalled the task he had to perform at the academy right now. Time was ticking, and the kingdom's law had to be enforced immediately before more lives were lost.
