Elara Vance was standing at the gates of a high school. The sky was an impossible shade of cyan. Cherry blossom petals were falling at a constant, scripted rate of three petals per second.
She looked down. Her tactical gear was gone. She was wearing a navy blue blazer, a plaid skirt, and loafers.
"I feel... breezy," Elara muttered, checking for her sniper rifle. It was gone. In its place was a school bag decorated with cute keychains.
"Greetings, Transfer Student!"
Elara turned. Aldren Vance was leaning against the school gate. He was wearing the male uniform, but he had popped the collar. His hair was blowing in a wind that didn't affect anyone else. Sparkles literally floated around his head.
"Aldren?" Elara asked.
