The world beyond the Starting Village was beautiful, vast, and completely inaccessible.
Elara Vance stood at the edge of the Green Zone, staring at a small, angry mushroom. Above the mushroom's head was a red bar and the text: [LVL 2 ANGRY SHROOM].
"I'm going to hit it," Elara announced, raising her rusty sword.
"No!" Kaelen Thorne shouted.
He stepped in front of her. His massive platinum armor clanked loudly. He raised his shield, which was the size of a door, and blocked the path.
"Step aside, Kaelen," Elara growled. "It's a mushroom. It doesn't even have teeth."
"It has 15 Attack Power," Kaelen read the enemy stats. "You have 10 Max HP. If it headbutts you, you die. I cannot allow that."
"I have 10 HP?" Elara checked her own status window.
