Part-1
The Glowing Forest is full of mysteries, still unknown to the living beings who live in there. It is situated in the middle of a long extending desert in the Kingdom 'Valea.' It's like a drop of water to the man who's been starving for hours. Unknown to everyone living there, that how a full seasoned forest was developed in this barren land.
Not everyone has seen it. But surely heard of it. It's a vast desert where no one would think to travel. That reason alone is keeping it to be discover by the common people living in that Kingdom. The forest which is mysterious itself also experiences every season from summer to spring, to winter. The forest also habitats types of plants and herbs. It also habitats wild creatures. It includes Daikins.
Lucille answered all of the questions of Rayan, keeping in mind the three day condition. Not only did he start with where they are, but also ended up by asking-what are Daikins?
Daikins, in hierarchy of this world, are the lowest level of creatures present in this world. They live in a group, hunt in a group. They mainly feed on other living beings and that's why there were no smaller animals. Their lair is in the forest itself.
Compared to Lucille, a single creature cannot stand a chance but with the numbers; they are gonna chew them like a candy. They don't come with few, they come in range of 10-20. They are powerful together but not alone. Lucille thinks that they should get to them before the vice versa. But seeing Rayan, not prepare for a fight - she gives out a disappointing sigh.
Rayan is still curious about what are they gonna do to defend themselves and is daydreaming about learning magic.
Although it's not a profound knowledge in this weather but Daikins are afraid of fire. Also they may seem like a dumb, fat pig ; but in reality they sure know how to play there cards and Rayan saw a glimpse of it at the waterfall.
The only advantage they had was the barrier, which is gone now. Daikins will not take a lot of time to find them. Which is why they need to be armed and prepared for what's coming in their den.
Part-2
--Rayan pov--
Lucy definitely said that she was going to teach me something. I highly doubt that it won't be magic.
Despite the tension arising because of Daikin. I am pretty excited about how I will get stronger.
She sits on the chair with me.
Facing towards each other with different ideas.
I get curious about what she is gonna speak.
She starts with -
"You don't have to do this!"
"Oh.. Umm Eh? What?" I confusely ask her.
"Oh? No! I was just humouring myself by pretending that I am sitting in front of a mirror."
I think the importance of this topic is big enough to get Lucille panicking. She is acting like she's fighting her inner mind.
"Ok! Let me come clean." she pauses for a sec "There's a way for you to get stronger."
Instantly I pull in the chair and lean my ears toward her.
*She flinches
I am all ears just tell me - that's how I sound to her now.
"There's a way for you to become stronger! You need to let this world's energy circulate into you. And that's not 'Magic'! " she deliberately emphasised on the word 'Magic' to disappoint me.
(What?!) that's how my face looks
No magic!?
"No magic?" I exclaim in shock.
"If you don't want to get stronger I don't mind! You can go back and do all that hefty work! All day long. Hmph!"
She says in a non-negotiable tone.
"Ah.. No! No! No! Please do tell me!"
Something is always better than nothing!!
"No! No! Go and say it, that you want to learn magic and stuff. Me helping you will not be useful in that term. So let's end our chat for today."
She is definitely a stubborn one.
"Ahh.. But.. " think! "I will make two curry once a week"
"Deal!" So easily! "Let me explain now. The people of this world including me are powerful than an average human because of this world's energy which is circulating within us. It makes us stronger. We are born with it, so we don't need to learn to take it in. But for you outsiders- it's nearly impossible to take it."
Now the question comes to mind.
"World's energy?!" It's a different term. But it's not magic.
"If it's impossible! How am I going to learn it."
"By becoming one with nature, letting this world know that you are one of us.
"It looks intriguing how am I gonna do that."
"It's very simple. You will know it when we start training and still meditation will be the first step."
I am really going to learn something amazing. But never expected it to be a Meditation? Are you kidding me?
"How?!"
"You will know it tomorrow let's go to bed or I seriously need to discipline you about waking up early." She leaves the room with that.
She's cruel.
But..
I do have some rough idea what she is getting at. If I can become stronger with this, then I will be a huge help to her. Becoming one with this world means being fully immersed. And that was my goal from the start.
Part-3
I get up way early. Was it out of excitement to learn something new?like a child?
Anyway let's get started.
I started cleaning, a kinda help! which is so small for her.
Living with a girl alone! Huh! It sure is stimulating! I will be lieing if I said I never tried to take a peek, while she was bathing. But yes thanks to Kuro, I never succeeded. He stayed there guarded for most of the time.
How unsatisfactory!
After sulking, I get to clean the hall.
Huh? What's this?
A fine, half tainted with brown color, a paper?!
I find it beneath the bed.
I dusted off the dirt on the paper and took a look at it.
It's a letter! The format is like a letter.
I start to read it.
It was the very same letter which Lucille sent to her Grandpa to call him for reviving me.
But the spooky thing here is that it is not written in English, Japanese, Marathi,Hindi, Korean or any other languages I know.
I am pretty sure that this is not the language used in my world. Then why am I able to read this?
How!? Impossible?
The language of this world. But I never learnt it.
Then how did I read this letter.
Ahh! I know!
It will be another spell of that goddamn old man.
How dare he cast such a spell on me!
Angrily I crushed the letter and threw it out of the window.
And got to my cleaning work.
Part-4
All ready!
Just teach me already.
Lucy takes me out in an open plain. And tells me to sit down and meditate.
At first I was surprised but then she tells me-
"All of the empty slots around is filled with this world's energy. It's everywhere and by meditation, you can obtain it."
"By meditation, are you sure?" I question her because it sound absurd.
"Right! Just do it and you will feel it."
I close my eyes and starts to meditate.
Focus and breathe steadily.
Inhale and exhale!
Do it properly and you will feel it.
Inhale and exhale!
You will feel it that's what Lucy said.
Focus!
Instead of world's energy, why am I getting a strange feeling.
"Lucy, if you stare at me like that, I am never going to get that feeling you were talking about."
That strange feeling was Lucy checking out on me. She can be strange sometimes.
"I was just ensuring that you are safe. Actually it's my first time teaching it. So.."
What did she just said? First time! Atleast you should have lied.
That's not how you teach someone first time.
"Don't worry! Just follow my words and continue." Lucille says.
I nodded.
"Inhale... Exhale.... Try to feel the energy around you. They are you! And you are them! Make your body accept them."
Her voice slowly starts to disappear..
Silence... I feel like I am isolated...
I.. I am getting a tingling feeling. My skin!
It's like I am touching something.
Like a wave! Like air!
No! Not air! It's thick! this thing!
It's the world's energy.
As soon as I feel it, it t surges inside me.
I get stimulated.
Like I'm in a roller-coaster. Going down and up. Continuously.
It's fascinating! And thrilling!
The energy gets slower not because it is fading away rather it's settling down in my body.
I think the energy inside me is circulating all over my body.
Just like the blood circulates.
I did it!!!
I open my eyes..
"I did it"
As calm as I can be.. I say it again.
"I did it"
"Huh?! Already?!" Lucy in a shock exclaims.
"I can feel it! I did it!"
"Impossible! It's your first try.. then how exactly?!"
Still in a shock!
I know this is a shock but I really did it. I can feel the power.
"See this!"
I punch the tree!
*Thwack.
It's not just an imprint! It's a proper hole but not as strong as Lucy! But Yes! This is progress!
"Is this for real..? " she whispers after seeing my punch. "Come here and let me check!"
She holds my hand and closes her eyes.
"I can feel it! The circulation of energy in your body." She leaves my hands,"I can even sense a tiny bit of it even though I let you go. This is just unbelievable! " In a shock she says.
"Ha! Then there's only one thing that can explain this. I am special, ain't I!?"
"T.. That might be the case. Anyways, you finally became stronger!"
"That's true I can really feel it inside me."
I jump in excitement and I notice that I jumped higher than an average jump.
"Yess!! I ATTAINED IT!"
This world's energy. I successfully absorbed it. I have really become one with this world now...
