After a few minutes of walking, they finally reached their destination.
The building before them was unlike anything else in Maple Town.
Myriad of Techniques.
Its entrance alone radiated quiet authority. Carved above the massive doors was an intricate symbol—a closed book, its cover embossed with a tower rising, as if knowledge itself had taken physical form.
Raya let out a low whistle. "So this is it…"
Arjun pushed the door open.
The moment they stepped inside, the world seemed to change.
The interior was vast—far larger than the tower should have been. Rows upon rows of floating platforms, stairways that faded into mist, and shelves stretching endlessly in every direction filled their vision. Soft light illuminated the space without any visible source.
It felt… endless.
For a moment, no one spoke.
"…This place doesn't obey normal rules, it's like we are in a different space", Divya whispered.
Before anyone could respond, a calm, gentle voice spoke.
"Welcome to Myriad of Techniques."
They turned.
A beautiful young woman stood before them, her long blonde hair falling neatly down her back. She wore simple, elegant robes, and her blue eyes carried a warmth that immediately put them at ease.
"My name is Amy," she said with a polite smile. "I'm a helper of Myriad of Techniques."
She tilted her head slightly.
"Is this your first time here, or have you visited us before?"
Arjun shook off his initial shock and stepped forward.
"It's our first time," he replied honestly.
Amy nodded as if she had expected that answer.
"Then you have to register before entering"
As she spoke, a crystal ball materialised in her hand, appearing out of thin air without any chant or gesture. The crystal shimmered softly.
Everyone was shocked
"Please place your hand on the crystal," Amy said. "This will register you as customers of Myriad of Techniques."
One by one, they stepped forward.
The moment each person touched the crystal, it glowed briefly—then dimmed again.
Amy smiled. "Registration complete."
The crystal vanished as suddenly as it had appeared.
She clasped her hands in front of her politely.
"If you have any questions," Amy said, "feel free to ask me. I'll explain anything you wish to know about the Myriad of Techniques."
The group exchanged looks.
Surrounded by endless knowledge, power, and mystery—
They had finally stepped into a place that could truly change their future.
And they didn't even know where to begin
Then, breaking the silence, Divya spoke.
"What exactly is Myriad of Techniques?"
Amy's expression softened, and a trace of reverence appeared in her eyes as she answered.
"Myriad of Techniques is one of the very few organizations permitted to exist inside the Tower in the form of a tower itself," she said calmly. "It received direct approval from the Tower."
That single sentence made everyone stiffen.
"In here," Amy continued, "you can obtain nearly any technique that can exist, sold at the lowest possible price. Myriad of Techniques exists in almost every important location within the Tower."
The weight of her words took a moment to sink in.
"…That's absurd," Tim muttered under his breath.
After recovering from the shock, Raya stepped forward. "What kind of techniques are available to us?"
Amy met his gaze.
"At your current level and your Tier is Tier 0," she said gently. "Therefore, only Tier 0 techniques are accessible to you."
The excitement they had felt moments ago faded slightly.
"…Only Tier 0?" Rohit said, disappointment clear in his voice.
Amy smiled, unfazed.
"Even so, Tier 0 techniques cover a wide range," she explained.
She began listing them calmly.
"Sword techniques, shield techniques, spear techniques, archery techniques, body enhancement techniques.
"Healing magic, fire magic, wind magic, water magic, earth magic, wood magic etc. "
Their expressions slowly changed.
"There are also non-combat techniques," Amy continued. "Alchemy, blacksmithing, accessory crafting, inscription scripts, talismans, and formation techniques are all available."
Silence fell.
Tier 0 or not—
This wasn't a simple shop.
It was a place that offered paths.
Paths to power, survival, and mastery.
And for the first time since entering the Tower, they truly felt that strength was something they could choose.
After that, Amy looked at them and spoke again.
"To better recommend suitable techniques, I need to know each of your classes."
One by one, everyone announced their class.
When it was Rohit's turn, he stated his class clearly.
"I'm a Gunslinger."
The moment the word left his mouth, Amy frowned.
"That's unnecessary," she said, her voice suddenly cold. "If you wish to keep your class secret, you may simply refuse to tell me. There's no need to invent an imaginary class and lie."
Rohit stiffened. "I didn't lie," he said, confusion clear on his face.
Amy looked at him closely, her gaze sharp—as if searching for falsehood itself. A moment passed.
She found nothing.
Then—
Her eyes widened.
"…Interesting."
Suddenly, she fumbled slightly, and a different crystal appeared in her hand—darker, more refined than the previous one.
"Place your hand on this," she said quickly. "This will display your true class."
Rohit hesitated, then did as told.
The crystal glowed.
Words formed above it, glowing clearly in the air:
[CLASS: GUNSLINGER]
Silence slammed into the room.
Amy stared at the words, then at Rohit.
She quickly pulled out a thin sheet of paper that resembled a talisman and pressed it to her forehead. Runes flickered briefly across its surface.
Everyone was confused by her action and waited for her to finish whatever she was doing.
Minutes passed.
When she lowered it, her eyes were wide—filled with genuine shock and excitement.
She looked at Rohit again.
But this time, her gaze had changed.
It was the look one reserved for something priceless.
Like someone who had just found a golden goose
