It starts slowly.
It always does. The aches, the slugginess that just won't lift and leave, the way his mind slows down-
He is falling sick again.
"You smell like him."
He is having lunch with Rain by the café near the campus, and the first thing he greeted him with was that he smelled like an alpha.
"I told you, it's the jacket I am wearing," Day tugs the lapels closer to his chest and adjusts in his seat, before taking a sip of his coffee.
Maybe this will help him feel more awake and less tired than he really is.
"It's not just the jacket," Rain presses on. "I have a very keen sense of smell, and I am telling you. You reek of Travis."
I mean, they have been having a lot of scenting sessions that end up in both of them naked and Travis breaking in and spending the night with him, cuddling, but Rain doesn't need to know that.
