As soon as the door closes behind him, Day rushes to the sinks, letting out the breath he was holding in sharp puffs.
He closes his eyes, lips parted as the emotions wash over him.
He doesn't understand why he is this way. Why does he feel Travis has betrayed him?
Surely, it's all something to do with the stupid mark on his neck, he is sure. Why else would he want to cry and throw up his dinner, at the same time kick Travis to his shin for making him feel so weak and vulnerable?
It just doesn't make sense at all.
He straightens once he feels like his lungs are not going to give up on him and he isn't at a risk of throwing up, and looks at his reflection.
He looks good today, the shorts he had opted for dinner, paired with the blouse that makes him feel pretty.
His hair is fluffed up too, the bangs swiped off to one side, the dangling earrings, and then the makeup … he looks pretty.
