Chapter 64 - Chapter 65: Trade? Hero of the Tribe?

Agu?

Seeing that Big Goblin Mu Guo actually recognized this newly appeared little Big Goblin, especially that somewhat familiar name, Nolan narrowed his eyes almost imperceptibly and carefully examined the Big Goblin named Agu.

Agu of the 'Jike Tribe'?

This was a minor character who appeared in the anime. Compared to other Big Goblins who seemed dull and only slightly smarter than ordinary Goblins, this Big Goblin named Agu displayed intelligence almost on par with a normal human.

Nolan, rarely serious, looked at him and found that apart from being younger, his appearance was no different from other Big Goblins.

He was far less conspicuous and different than he appeared in the anime.

At least, Nolan felt that all these Big Goblins looked pretty much the same.

Rustle!

Rustle!

At this moment, the two Big Goblins following Agu also emerged from the bushes. Seeing Nolan's expressionless and indifferent gaze, a chill inexplicably ran through their hearts, and they subconsciously took a step back.

"H-human…" the stuttering Big Goblin said with a terrified, stammering tone.

This human was clearly so frail!

Let alone compared to the Ogre Lords, even the arm of a young Ogre was thicker than this human's thigh. But this human simply stood there, and goosebumps rose on the stuttering Big Goblin's skin, as if he were facing the powerful Ogre Lords he had only seen from afar before.

An inexplicable sense of fear welled up in his heart.

"Lord! They are from our tribe."

Big Goblin Mu Guo prostrated himself on the ground, hands supporting his shoulders, looking fearfully at Nolan. He swallowed, then nervously said, "They are not those inferior Goblins."

He was afraid that Nolan would kill Agu and the others with a single sword like he did with those inferior Goblins.

Agu's legs tensed, and he quickly knelt, supporting himself with his arms on the ground, pressing his head deeply into the decaying leaves.

"H-human, Human Lord, we come from the J-Jike Tribe deep in the Tob Forest. We are not inferior Goblins."

Agu's voice trembled, and he spoke with a nervous stammer, "Lord, we hope you can spare Big Brother Mu Guo's life. We are willing to offer precious things."

Agu's words also reminded the Big Goblins standing behind him.

These two Big Goblins quickly took down the large wooden baskets from their backs, placed them in front of them, and then, like Agu, frantically knelt down.

"Oh?" Nolan saw the actions of these Big Goblins, a look of surprise and amusement on his face. He turned his head to look at Big Goblin Mu Guo, who was still prostrate on the ground. "It seems your status in your tribe isn't low."

"Of course, Lord." "I am a hero of the tribe."

Hearing Nolan's words, Big Goblin Mu Guo showed no modesty. A proud expression appeared on his battered green face.

A hero?

Nolan chuckled and stepped forward, his gaze falling on the two large wooden baskets placed in front of Agu.

One basket was filled with various herbs, many of which still had dry soil clinging to their root hairs, indicating they had been recently picked.

The other basket was full of rather strange-looking mushrooms, most of them blue and very peculiar, appearing to be poisonous.

Herbs? Mushrooms?

Nolan raised an eyebrow, a half-smile on his face, and looked at Agu, who was kneeling on the ground: "You are very smart, even smarter than I expected."

Although Nolan didn't recognize any of these herbs and strange mushrooms, he knew that these things were definitely picked from deep within the Tob Forest.

Their value in the outside world would certainly not be low.

However, for the Big Goblin tribe of the 'Jike Tribe' living deep in the Tob Forest, these items were not particularly valuable.

This wasn't to say that Agu was playing any tricks. Quite the opposite!

Agu, this Big Goblin, clearly understood what items held high value in human society.

Truth be told, a tribe like the 'Jike Tribe,' living deep in the jungle and even having survival issues, wouldn't inherently possess anything that humans would find appealing.

Most importantly, the way Agu handled things was distinctly different from most demi-humans. This transactional approach was quite surprising.

This was not just a matter of intelligence.

Agu, hearing Nolan's praise, still dared not raise his head. He didn't know why this powerful human suddenly praised him.

However, he now understood one thing: the herbs he offered to this human expert seemed to be satisfactory!

Whoosh—

Agu's tense nerves relaxed slightly. He felt he had guessed correctly.

After hearing from the Goblins who had fled deep into the Tob Forest that Big Brother Mu Guo had been captured but not killed by humans, Agu guessed that human experts probably only had ill will towards Goblins, and no hostility towards them, the Big Goblins.

After all, in the eyes of Big Goblins, Goblins and Big Goblins were completely different species!

Thinking of this, Agu felt that since this human expert liked the herbs from the Tob Forest, perhaps he could use them to establish a connection with him.

He just didn't know if this human expert was stronger, or if the Ogre Lords were stronger?

The Ogre Lords should be stronger, right?

Various thoughts flashed through Agu's mind.

"What's the situation with the Ogres deep in the Tob Forest?" A faint voice came, falling into Agu's ears as he lay prostrate on the ground.

The sudden question made Agu instinctively look up, gazing at Nolan, who stood not far in front of him, arms crossed, calmly looking down at him.

The tall figure made Agu's heart tremble. He quickly lowered his head.

"L-Lord…" Agu stammered, clearly not understanding the meaning of Nolan's words.

"So many Goblins have died in the outer region, and the commotion I've caused recently hasn't been small either." "Even you Big Goblins know about it, so those Ogres wouldn't be ignorant, would they?" Nolan tapped his arm with a finger and asked.

He had very little information about the Ogres who ruled this area and lived deep in the Tob Forest. This was a good opportunity to gather some intelligence from Agu.

"They know, Lord." Agu quickly replied, recalling the scene when he went to seek help, a look of dejection and loss on his face. "No matter how many Goblins die, they are just cannon fodder in the eyes of the Ogre Lords. It doesn't matter how many perish."

They don't care?

Nolan's eyes flickered slightly.

During this time, he had been worried that the commotion he caused would attract the Ogres from deep within the Tob Forest, so he tried to stay in the outermost regions.

Now, hearing Agu's answer, Nolan suddenly realized he had been too cautious.

Thinking about it carefully, given the arrogant and conceited nature of those Ogres, they didn't even care when the Bone King came to them, and were even easily repelled twice by the Bone King, still unable to see the difference between their strengths.

Such thick-skinned nerves and personality indeed wouldn't care about the deaths of a large number of Goblins in the outer Tob Forest.

If he had known, he would have been more unrestrained.

Nolan shook his head almost imperceptibly, then continued to ask, "Tell me about the situation deep in the jungle, and everything about the Ogres."

At this moment, Agu also understood that the human in front of him wanted to inquire about the Ogre Lords. Facing the inquiry, Agu not only didn't conceal anything, but instead divulged all the information he knew.

If possible, he desperately hoped that the human in front of him could deal with those hateful Ogres.

After learning more detailed information about the Ogres, Nolan's face showed a satisfied smile. The harvest was great.

The next time he came to the Tob Forest, he would have more confidence in dealing with those Ogres.

Nolan raised his hand and waved at the two large wooden baskets on the ground, storing them in his item box.

Agu cautiously raised his head, watching the wooden baskets disappear into thin air. His round eyes couldn't help but widen, and his face revealed a shocked expression. Disappeared? So powerful! Is it some kind of magical item ability?
