Alice's POV
I stared at the photo of Sophia on Bryan's phone and felt my world tilt sideways, because this meant Sophia had killed Isabella and was now confessing to Bryan like he was supposed to fix it.
"We need to call Detective Morrison," I said reaching for Bryan's phone, but he pulled it away.
"And tell her what?" Bryan asked. "That Sophia sent me a text admitting to murder, Alice they'll arrest her immediately."
"Good," I said. "Sophia killed someone Bryan, she needs to face consequences."
"She said it was an accident," Bryan argued showing me the text again. "Alice read it, she says she only wanted to scare Isabella not kill her."
I read the text more carefully, and saw that Sophia had included details about how she'd gone to Isabella's apartment to threaten her into leaving Bryan alone, but things had gotten physical and Isabella hit her head on the coffee table.
"That still makes it manslaughter at minimum," I said. "Bryan you can't protect her from this."
