After the storm subsided, Akemi Miyano lay sprawled across Yuu Hoshimiya's chest. Like a content kitten, she idly traced circles on his skin with her nails. Yuu responded by tightening his embrace, pulling her closer into his warmth.
He opened his system interface to check the status of the Fate Covenant.
Despite his "vigorous efforts," only Conditions One and Two were met. Condition Three remained stubbornly "Unsatisfied." This wasn't a surprise. Akemi's heart currently held only one burning desire: to take her sister, Shiho, and escape the Organization. Her will was unshakable.
Yuu had learned that Condition Three—the target's heart's desire—only changed easily if the target lacked a singular, overwhelming goal. If someone were just thirsty or hungry, he could satisfy that whim and trigger the contract. But for a woman like Akemi, whose entire existence revolved around her sister's safety, the condition wouldn't budge until that need was addressed.
He felt a twinge of disappointment but quickly pivoted back to his original plan. He briefly considered using a Fate Chain on her. If he pushed her through a few more rounds of intense, mind-melting pleasure, he could likely force the chain to snap into place while her defenses were down.
However, he decided against it. Akemi was a virgin until tonight, and they had been "battling" for hours. She was at her physical limit. Forcing her into more sex now would leave her unable to walk tomorrow, and he needed her in top form for the performance ahead.
"In a couple of days... no, tomorrow," Yuu said, making a decision. "We need to finish this as fast as possible. Akemi-san, drive back to your apartment tomorrow morning. Clean out everything related to the Organization. Then, go to our meeting spot. I'll be there. The script is simple: you refuse to hand over the money, and I 'execute' you."
He stroked her hair. "I won't actually shoot you. I'll have blood packs and a life jacket ready. You'll fake being hit, I'll chase you, and you'll jump into the ocean. I've already arranged for people to pull you out. To the world—and to Gin—you'll be dead."
Since Gin wasn't personally overseeing the execution, letting her vanish into the dark sea was the cleanest exit. Even if Conan or Gin grew suspicious later, as long as Akemi stayed hidden, the plan would hold.
Akemi nodded. She didn't want to wait either. The plan sounded simple, but the logistics were tight. She had less than twenty-four hours to erase her life. But she trusted Yuu; at this point, he was the only person in the world she could trust.
"Rest now," Yuu whispered. "We move at dawn."
"Okay," she murmured, exhausted from the physical and emotional toll. Within minutes, she was fast asleep in his arms.
Yuu, however, was wide awake. His enhanced constitution meant he could go days without sleep if necessary. Once she was deep in slumber, he dressed quietly. It was past 11:00 PM. It was the perfect time to test his Teleportation ability.
He closed his eyes and focused. Five points of light appeared in his mind, representing his five covenanted targets. He could see their current surroundings as if through a hazy lens.
Hitomi Kujou had just finished work and was soaking in a bathtub. The three Suzuki women were in their mansion; Tomoko and Ayako were asleep, but Sonoko was still awake, scrolling through her phone. Seimi Asai was asleep, and interestingly, Midori Kuriyama—the secretary—was curled up next to her.
Yuu noted the bond between Midori and Seimi. He had considered bringing the secretary into the fold, as she was Eri Kisaki's right hand and had been incredibly helpful in his pursuit of the Great Lawyer. But his contract slots were limited. For now, he preferred to save them for key "Fate" targets rather than just using them for convenience.
He felt his stamina and mental energy draining just by maintaining the "vision." Teleporting required significant fuel. He needed two helpers for tomorrow: one to pull Akemi from the water, and one to act as his date to provide a perfect alibi.
Sonoko and Hitomi were the obvious choices. He decided to visit Sonoko first to arrange the boat via the Suzuki family resources.
With a surge of will, he targeted Sonoko's bedroom. He felt a wave of vertigo and exhaustion. In a blink, he vanished from the villa and reappeared in Sonoko's room, landing right on her bed.
Sonoko nearly screamed, her phone flying out of her hand. She choked back the noise when she realized it was him. "Yuu-sensei! You scared the life out of me! You were supposed to warn me!"
"Sorry, sorry," Yuu muttered, rubbing his temples. The jump had drained nearly half of his mental and physical energy. Even at peak strength, two jumps in a row would be his absolute limit. It wasn't like a video game where he could spam the move; if his energy was low, the ability simply wouldn't trigger.
He spent the next hour explaining the plan to Sonoko. He needed her to have a boat "accidentally" passing by the harbor and for her to spend the entire afternoon on a high-profile date with him in the shopping district.
Yuu didn't ask if Akemi had encountered a "boy in a blue suit" (Conan). If the brat wasn't involved, great. If he was, the plan wouldn't change. By appearing in public with Sonoko, then teleporting to Hitomi to "kill" Akemi, and teleporting back to Sonoko, he would create an impossible timeline. No one—not even the "God of Death" himself—could prove he was at the docks.
Just before midnight, he pushed himself to teleport one last time to Hitomi. By the time he landed in her apartment, his vision was darkening. He managed to give her instructions to be at the docks with scuba gear before collapsing onto her bed and falling into a dead sleep.
The Performance
Thanks to his Deep Sleep and Traveler talents, Yuu woke up the next morning at 10:00 AM feeling refreshed. He had learned his limits: two jumps per day were safe, but the third was a gamble.
By 3:00 PM, everything was in place. Yuu was "on a date" with Sonoko in the crowded shopping district. He slipped into a bathroom stall, told Sonoko to wait, and teleported to the secluded warehouse at the docks.
The "execution" went perfectly. In front of a few terrified dockworkers, a man in a black tracksuit and a cap (Yuu) chased a "wounded" Akemi Miyano to the pier. He "fired" several shots. Akemi, wearing a life jacket under her coat and hidden blood packs, tumbled into the freezing water.
Yuu fired a few more rounds into the sea for dramatic effect, ensuring the witnesses saw the "victim" sink. He then vanished into the shadows, teleported back to the mall bathroom, changed his clothes, and walked out to join Sonoko for a movie.
While they sat in the theater, Yuu took a nap. On the other side of the city, Hitomi Kujou pulled a shivering Akemi from the water and onto a boat piloted by Nanami Hatamoto (formerly Natsue Hatamoto), who had been brought in by Ayako Suzuki to handle the sensitive transport.
By nightfall, the news broke. The police found Akemi's car, bloodstains, and shell casings. With no body found in the rough current, they declared her dead. The ten-billion-yen robbery was "solved"—the suspects were all dead, and the money was missing, presumably taken by the mysterious "man in black" who fled the scene.
