Chapter 65 - Chapter 65: Gin's Recruitment Plan

"I see, as expected of Big Brother!"

Vodka had a sudden realization and looked at Gin with admiration.

Seeing this, Gin's eyelid twitched as he began calculating in his mind.

Disposing of Akemi Miyano would require someone to watch over Sherry. With the shortage of manpower, he was truly running out of usable agents.

He needed to hurry up and scout new talent.

In Gin's eyes, low-level members who didn't even know the Organization's true nature weren't considered "usable."

Akemi Miyano was technically low-level, but her parents and sister were core members.

Her actual status was close to that of an executive.

Otherwise, Shuichi Akai wouldn't have been able to use her to join the Organization and become a code-named member.

By the same token, if she were just an ordinary low-level member, Gin wouldn't be personally handling her defection.

In fact, many low-level members knew nothing of the Organization's real situation and could never even meet a high-level executive like Gin, let alone negotiate with him.

Roles within the Organization were clearly defined. Executives like Korn and Chianti were idle but couldn't help with field missions.

Because aside from sniping, they couldn't do anything else.

The same went for Sherry and other researchers. Though they were executives, they were useless for anything outside of research.

Not only were they useless, they required minders whenever they went out.

The Organization had shifted its focus back to Japan, but currently, aside from the workaholic Gin, there was no one else carrying out missions in Japan.

Vermouth would come to Japan after shaking off the FBI, and Bourbon and Kir were on their way, but they couldn't help with the immediate shortage.

Furthermore, Gin disliked those three.

Especially Bourbon, whom he always found suspicious.

Thinking of what Chianti had said about personally scouting suitable people to join, Gin instinctively thought of the man and woman he saw during a trade mission a while back.

His narrow eyes squinted as Gin pulled down his hat. He had a plan.

"Vodka, remember the mission at Tropical Land a while ago?"

"Yes, Boss."

"Give me two days. Go investigate and get detailed intel on that man and woman I mentioned while we were on the roller coaster."

"Huh?"

Vodka was confused, failing to remember who Gin was talking about.

They went on missions all day and met too many people, killing plenty of them.

Just as Gin had already forgotten about drugging Shinichi Kudou, Vodka couldn't remember Hoshimiya Yuu and Hitomi Kujou, whom Gin had briefly mentioned.

"Didn't you say you remembered?"

Gin stared at Vodka with a dangerous gaze. If he couldn't even handle this, Gin would really have to consider a new partner.

Having been Gin's partner for years, Vodka hadn't learned much, but he knew how to read Gin's face perfectly.

He didn't dare hesitate anymore and answered firmly: "Yes! I'll have it done in two days!"

Gin didn't care whether Vodka actually remembered or not; he just wanted results in two days.

Vodka was dim, but he wasn't a total moron.

Gin had mentioned the roller coaster. There were only six people there besides them. If he had to, he'd just investigate all of them.

With the Organization's massive intelligence network, he could dig up intel on four extra people within two days.

Under the dual buffs of [Deep Sleep] and [Celestial Grace], sleeping with Hoshimiya Yuu caused affection to skyrocket.

Before sleeping, Midori Kuriyama's feelings for Hoshimiya Yuu were mostly based on desire and need.

After waking up, the secretary found that she really didn't want to leave him.

Without a Destiny Contract, her feelings weren't as deep as Ran's or Megumi Asai's, but they were significantly stronger than those of an ordinary couple.

This could be easily seen in the way Midori looked at Hoshimiya Yuu.

A one-night stand wasn't enough; she needed every night to be a celebration...

The activity had been quite intense last night, so Hoshimiya Yuu didn't wake up until nearly noon.

Megumi Asai and Midori Kuriyama woke up at the same time, but only Megumi was able to get out of bed.

After excessive pleasure, and without the effects of a Destiny Contract, the price was a body full of aches for the secretary—especially her "pink garden," which was completely swollen.

She would likely need a day or two of rest to fully recover.

"Yuu-nii, Megumi-nee, you're awake."

Walking out of the bedroom, Ran happened to be coming out of the kitchen carrying food.

"Go wash up; we'll eat together in a bit."

Hoshimiya Yuu stroked Ran's smooth long hair. "Thank you for the hard work, Ran."

"It's nothing. Taking care of Dad is much harder than this."

Ran didn't mind at all.

At the detective agency, she had to cook, do laundry, and clean, and she even had to call Richard Mouri several times just to get him to eat.

Plus, the place was cramped and cluttered, which was a headache.

At Hoshimiya Yuu's place, she only had to cook, and the kitchen was so spacious that moving around was very convenient.

Not only did she not find it tiring, she felt a sense of satisfaction and achievement.

Ten minutes later, the original crew from last night gathered again in Hoshimiya Yuu's living room.

"Hoshimiya-sensei, did you miss me last night~?"

Serena Suzuki, arriving just in time for food, immediately clung to him.

After last night's emptiness, she didn't want to be apart from him for a single moment.

Without waiting for an answer, Serena blinked her large eyes and acted coyly. "Hey, hey, Hoshimiya-sensei, let's go to my house after lunch. You've never been to my place after all this time~"

"Sure, okay."

After a moment's thought, since there was nothing else to do today, Hoshimiya Yuu agreed.

He might as well take the opportunity to see the Suzuki manor and experience the life of the truly wealthy.

"Yay!" Serena pumped her fist in excitement.

She couldn't stay out overnight, but if she could get Hoshimiya Yuu to stay overnight in her room, that would work.

This was the solution Serena had spent half the night brainstorming to bypass her family's restrictions.

Otherwise, waiting for her mother's permission would take forever.

As for the possibility of her mother, Ayako Suzuki, disapproving, Serena hadn't considered it at all.

A man as excellent as Hoshimiya Yuu, and an orphan to boot, perfectly fit the Suzuki family's criteria for a son-in-law!

As long as he agreed to join the family, having many women or being a playboy wouldn't be an issue.

As a zaibatsu, the Suzuki family was very open-minded about such things.

The Suzuki family had always been matriarchal, and they knew exactly what the men in these conglomerates were like.

Compared to them, Hoshimiya Yuu was practically a saint!

After Serena's antics, lunch began in earnest.

However, the women's gazes kept drifting, intentionally or otherwise, toward Midori Kuriyama and her awkward posture.

The secretary was forcing herself to stay upright, trying to hide the fact that she had raided Hoshimiya Yuu's room last night, but her tender body wasn't cooperating.

Moving even slightly caused her discomfort; eating felt like an ordeal.

Midori's strange behavior naturally didn't escape the notice of the other women. Except for Megumi Asai, who kept giggling, Ran and the others kept observing her with curious eyes.

Finally, unable to withstand the pressure, the secretary spoke up: "I'm sorry, I don't feel very well. I don't have much of an appetite."

She wanted to make a run for it, but Eva said lightly, "Midori, you didn't sleep in the guest room last night, did you?"

In a professional setting, Eva usually called her Miss Kuriyama, but in private, their relationship was more like friends, so they used given names.

Midori's body stiffened. She said guiltily, "I did sleep in the guest room..."

"Then why didn't I see you when I woke up this morning, but I ran into you here at Mr. Hoshimiya's?"

Eva had been busy with work since she woke up. Usually, if Midori stayed over at the office, she would get up and help even during her rest.

The secretary didn't live with Eva; she rented an apartment with a friend.

She only stayed over when the workload was too heavy.

That so-called "guest room" was basically Midori's room.

Midori wanted to keep lying, but Ran suddenly said with realization, "Oh, that's why... I thought Miss Kuriyama's clothes looked a bit strange..."

Midori had come in a hurry last night, wearing only a sexy nightgown.

The only piece of clothing she had was ruined by Hoshimiya Yuu, so she had to borrow clothes from Megumi Asai after waking up.

Their figures were similar, but Megumi was slightly taller than Midori, so the clothes looked a bit baggy on her.

Normally, it wouldn't be noticeable, but there were just too many suspicious points.

Seeing that her night raid could no longer be hidden, Midori decided to just go with it. Anyway, last night she had already made it clear she just wanted to sleep with Hoshimiya Yuu to satisfy her physical needs.

It was just that after the heat of the moment passed, she felt a bit embarrassed about being so proactive and impatient, so she had tried to hide it.
