Introduction Arc: Chapter 8.
The night forest was dead silent, not a single chirp of a cricket nor a howl from a distant pack of wolves. There wasn't even a breeze; the forest was still. Meanwhile, the undead manifestations lurked around the edges, barely perceptible. They were cautious about the steadily marching group.
"You're sure that it is this way?" Feledil DeBestEye said, raising a brow while wary about the dozen pairs of undead eyes watching over them. He has an extra sword in his hilt; it was the immaculate sword that the armored undead dropped.
Winter wanted the sword, but since Feledil dealt the final blow, he didn't complain. He instead glared at the sword, clanking against the armor with each step. Winter related the clanking to an annoying reminder, a reward so close yet so far.
"Yes, we're near," Winter said, coughing softly. He had told them about the source of the undead manifestations and that it was urgent to disable it. The group was wary at first, but they gave Winter a chance since they didn't sense any malice.
"Beth would've loved seeing a manifestation core. Those greedy eyes of hers would sparkle." A woman said, adjusting her thick glasses. "But I don't mind, it gives me more time with you, Master Feledil." The woman said, clinging to Feledil's armored right arm.
Feledil's alert expression didn't change, keeping a wary gaze of his surroundings.
◆ [ Alluna Allat, an accomplished female sorcerer who has an insane attraction towards magical items, is also the self-proclaimed first wife of Feledil DeBestEye. Easily mistaken for a young teenager due to her small figure and voice. Her gaze was focused on your scorch dagger earlier. ] ◆
"You harlot! Feledil would rather spend time with me. I've dealt the most damage to that death knight." A woman with a huge silver bow added, hugging Feledil's armored left arm while pressing her chest. Alluna Allat snapped, unable to compete with the breast pressing since hers was compact.
◆ [Fae Baller, a competent and educated female ranger whose eyes are as powerful as a hawk. The self-proclaimed original wife of Feledil DeBestEye, her athletic figure and almost revealing fashion are likely a self-esteem issue. She has no opinion of you. ] ◆
"You got all that from a glance?" Winter whispered while the two women's argument slowly intensified. There was a visible vein mark in Feledil's forehead; he was losing patience.
◆ [ I've extensive data about the human self, their expressions, reactions, psyche, and actions from learned scholars. My library is an amalgamation of several decades of studying the human self. ] ◆
Bricks said there was a hint of pride in his words that Winter noticed.
(I didn't realize that Adventure Fable Worlds: Dragon Lords had studies like that, or maybe it's from my original world? Eh, whatever.) Winter thought while looking at his scorch dagger.
Winter watched the exchange with a dejected expression, envious of Feledil DeBestEye. (If this were a novel, he'd be the main character. I'm guessing he also has some hidden talent or skills.)
The two women's arguments intensified, and their words were now becoming explicit. Winter stared at the sky, silently wishing for the return of the forest's dead silence.
Feledil DeBestEye kept a stern, wary gaze despite being repeatedly bonked in the head by the silver bow's frame and the slowly increasing temperature on his left arm.
*Splat!* *Fsh!* Feledil's eye was stabbed by the silver bow's edge while his armored left arm went up in flames. He was at his limit, and with a single grind of his teeth, he shouted.
"WILL YOU TWO KNOCK IT OUT!?" Feledil announced, gesturing a peace sign and poking both steel fingers in the two women's eyes. *Splack!*
"MY EYE! It hurts, but it's Master Feledil, so it doesn't hurt!" Alluna Allat screamed, kneeling on the ground while aggressively thrusting her hips.
"It should've been my two holes, not my eyes!" Fae Baller said, squirming on the ground while her athletic figure gathered dust and dirt.
"We're heading to a dangerous area, and we're surrounded by undead that are somehow not attacking us. Take this matter seriously." Feledil said with an annoyed tone. The two women instantly gathered their bearing, standing straight with serious expressions.
Although their eyes were tearing, bloodshot red.
"I apologize for the display, Winter Icecream. These two lovers of mine are a bit rowdy, but don't worry. I have a way to straighten them up." Feledil said as the two women quivered in anticipation. He approached the two women, and their faces blushed as he grew closer.
Winter walked forward a little, interested in Feledil DeBestEye's straightening method. He saw as the two women's breathing went erratic, their lips quivering in anticipation.
Feledil then did something that Winter didn't expect, even if he were granted several guesses. He deep kissed the two women, alternating between them, after three seconds had passed. Their kisses were loud yet controlled; it was as if this had been done a thousand times already.
The whole forest went dead quiet, even more than usual; it was as if the world had suddenly stopped. Just to spectate about what's happening.
◆ [ ....? ] ◆
Even Bricks was surprised.
The manifested undead still kept a wary gaze on the group. They didn't do anything; they still lurked and stalked, as if waiting for the perfect opportunity.
The whole deep kissing happened for three minutes, and after the smooching. Feledil DeBestEye beamed a satisfied smile towards Winter with a raised thumb, as if he had finished an impossible task. Winter could only weakly reply with his own thumbs up.
The two women were now enchanted but quiet, following Feledil as he continued walking forward. Winter trailed behind, jaw still open, while his eyes repeatedly twitched. His brain was in overdrive; he was slowly coming to a realization. A conclusion.
(Polygamy is accepted in this world. So that means that if I play my cards right, I can have what he has.) Winter thought with a jittered smile. He then looked up ahead, yelling for the three to stop.
They've arrived at the source of the manifestations. A rocky cave that had a sloped path inside, it was leading down into the abyss.
