A year had passed.
Leo had turned twenty. Anny would turn twenty in a month. Mira would be nineteen in two months.
After the truth was finally uncovered, it was revealed to the entire universe. Leaders from all worlds—burdened with guilt—declared an inter-galactic holiday on 12th February, the day she died. The highest honour ever created was announced: an inter-galactic medal named after her—SOFIA KNIGHT.
They also made a chilling declaration.
Whoever could capture DEMON090 would be given the honour to execute him publicly, in front of the media—and would receive 100,000 IKO.
Four months later, intelligence confirmed his location at a hotel. But he escaped—just seconds before he could be captured.
Two days later.
Leo, Anny, Mira, and Laura were walking together, laughing and talking about how their little brother Lig would soon come to live with them. For a moment, everything felt light again.
Then Leo stopped.
Across an empty park, near a silent fountain by the beach, a lone figure sat motionless.
Leo narrowed his eyes.
Leo: "Who are you…? I feel like I've seen you before."
Laura froze.
Laura: "You're… Demo—"
The man slowly looked up.
Demon090: "Yes. It's me."
Mira caught her breath.
Mira: "We should call the police—"
Demon090: "No need."
His voice trembled.
Demon090: "I know my time has come. I just… needed to say something."
Suddenly, he collapsed to his knees, his fists slamming into the ground as he broke down.
Leo: "What the hell are you doing?"
Demon090 stood up, his eyes burning with grief and rage.
Demon090: "You say this society is good? You stand with those people and still believe that?"
Leo: "Mind your language."
Demon090 laughed bitterly.
Demon090: "Yesterday, there was an accident. A child was trapped under a broken metal bench at a bus stop. Everyone just stood there and watched."
His voice cracked.
Demon090: "My wife ran forward to save the child. The metal was sharp and heavy. My daughter helped her. That's when the police arrived."
Silence followed.
Demon090: "They accused them of murder."
Mira covered her mouth.
Demon090: "Because they were my family, the crowd believed the police. They were arrested and taken away."
His hands trembled.
Demon090: "Ten hours later… both were found dead in a forest."
Mira screamed.
Demon090's voice dropped into something hollow.
Demon090: "When I was young, I had a communication disorder. People bullied me— even my teachers."
He looked away.
Demon090: "When I told my father—after my mother was killed—he said, 'We are poor. From another race. The law is not meant for us.'"
He clenched his fists.
Demon090: "He made me promise that if I ever got a chance to destroy this system… I would not hesitate."
A long pause followed.
Demon090: "That's all I wanted to say. My time is over."
He looked at Laura.
Demon090: "Sorry… my love. If I fail, everything is lost."
He pulled out a gun.
Bang.
Laura collapsed into Leo's arms.
A second, louder sound echoed.
Bang.
Demon090 fell backwards.
His body began to dissolve into dust.
With his last breath, he whispered—
Demon090: "I wanted to say this beside you… in the next world… my life…"
Far away, hidden by moonlight, a girl stood holding a TFG200 sniper rifle. Her face and body were invisible in the darkness.
She spoke softly into a communicator.
"He is safe, boss."
The bullet was not ordinary.
It was from AOB.
Laura—small, gentle, only twenty years old—lay dying in Leo's arms. Tears streamed down his face as she smiled weakly.
Laura: "Brother… remember when we went to school together… when we played pranks… when we always walked home together…"
Her voice faded in and out.
Laura: "We went shopping… beaches… hot springs… we were like a family…"
She struggled to breathe.
Laura: "I always wanted… to live with you forever… I love you… all of you…"
Her eyes met Leo's.
Laura: "We were happy… right?"
Her voice broke.
Laura: "I think… it's too late now…"
A whisper.
Laura: "Why… Kiko… why…"
Her hand slipped from his grip.
Mira and Anny could not hold themselves anymore. They collapsed, crying.
The police arrived. Crowds gathered. Faces were soaked with tears.
Everyone cried—
Except Leo.
He walked alone into the darkness and stopped beneath a tree. From there, he looked back at the scene. On a distant building, a shadowed figure stood.
She raised her hand in a salute—
And vanished.
Leo slowly returned the salute.
[Narrator:]Is there still humanity left in people? Why did the leaders create a holiday, a medal, and a public execution in the name of justice? What comes next? The storm is coming.
At home, Leo sat on the edge of his bed, legs hanging, unmoving. No tears. No expression.
Inside his mind, Laura's death replayed endlessly.
His sister.His friend.Gone.
Mira and Anny stood outside his door.
Anny: "If we don't do something, he might break."
Mira: "I know. But you won't like it."
Anny: "Just do it."
Mira shook her head.
Mira: "Leave him. His AI will help him. Lig will call soon. He needs time."
Anny: "Okay."
The next morning, the three of them had breakfast together. They talked. They smiled.
But inside, all of them were still bleeding.
The doorbell rang.
Leo opened the door and received a letter.
Dear Leo,You don't know me, but I know you. This must remain our secret.
Have you ever wondered why the bullet stopped in front of your head… and turned back?Is he really dead?
Go to the university with them. But return alone.
Meet me at 8 p.m.At the abandoned power plant near the forest and the sea.
I hope you come.
[Narrator:]Who is this person? Will Leo go?What awaits him in the darkness? The storm is coming.
In a quiet graveyard, a man in an AOB combat suit stood with two girls in matching suits of different colours.
They stood before two headstones.
Laura's.Demon090's.
The man knelt and placed flowers on both.
The girls stood silently, heads lowered, candles burning.
For ten minutes—
No words were spoken.
