Chapter 239 - [239] Secrets of the Marauder's Map

After this commotion, the three ended their nighttime stroll.

As they walked up the moving staircase, George asked curiously, "Vizette, how did you come up with that magic spell you just used?"

Fred was equally curious. "Yes! I thought your magical items were made through alchemy, but I didn't expect they were just magic!"

"Perhaps it's because I'm quite good at Transfiguration magic?" Vizette smiled slightly. "Professor Sprout told me a theory, and I incorporated it into Transfiguration magic."

"Professor Sprout's theory?" George and Fred exchanged a glance. "She actually had a backup plan!"

"That's true!" Fred analyzed seriously. "That swamp magic isn't as simple as it seems."

"That's right! After all, he's a professor at Hogwarts!" George nodded in agreement. "There are hardly any simple ones."

"Except Lockhart!" they said in unison, their mouths agape in unrestrained laughter.

Vizette remained noncommittal; Professor Lockhart was simply too bizarre, with a strong sense of disconnect.

"Fred, George, are you interested in that theory? I can tell you about it."

Fred's eyes lit up. "That theory? Is that something you can tell us about?"

"Isn't this Professor Sprout's secret weapon?" George asked with great interest.

"It was just a coincidence." Vizette shook his head. "I wasn't the only one listening; Luna and Hannah were there too, and we helped take care of the herbs."

"Then tell us quickly!" The Weasley twins rubbed their hands together, their movements always so perfectly synchronized.

Vizette took out his notebook and started explaining the "Rubik's Cube theory" to them as he went up the stairs, leaving the two of them completely bewildered.

Compared to Vizette's classmates, Fred and George had a much better foundation in magic, and were naturally able to understand the wonders of the "Rubik's Cube theory".

"So that's how you do it…" George said with a look of sudden realization, "I think we should be able to make that nose-biting teacup too!"

Fred shook his head and said, "The younger generation is truly formidable! They are indeed formidable! George, don't you think we are..."

"I know what you're trying to say!" George nodded. "Indeed! Such a precious secret, and he just told us about it…"

"It's not particularly valuable." Vizette shrugged and waved his hand after hearing their conversation. "Professor Sprout told me all this."

"She's willing to tell me these things, so I have no reason to hide them from her. At most, it's just...being generous with other people's money, right?"

"But there's your own interpretation in this. That's very important!" Fred corrected him. "Since you're sharing such a valuable secret…"

"Are we the kind of people who are stingy? Wait a minute…" George reached into his pocket, fumbled around, and finally pulled out a roll of parchment.

This was an old, square roll of parchment. It looked quite old and hadn't been well cared for; the edges and corners were worn.

Nevertheless, Vizette would not underestimate it.

In the magical world, ancient objects often possessed incredible magic, making them well worth studying.

Vizette used his magic eye and discovered that the parchment's magic circuit was incredibly complex, even more so than that of the Mandrake, like an unsolvable ball of yarn.

The most peculiar thing was that, with the ball of yarn-like magic circuit as the center, the other magic circuits actually extended outwards, breaking away from the parchment itself and spreading in all directions like a spider web.

George wiped the sweat from his brow. "Finally found it! I hid it really well to avoid Filch!"

He and Fred exchanged a glance, their expressions becoming much more subdued, with a hint of seriousness in their eyes.

Fred said, "Vizette, this is our biggest secret!"

George said, "But your identity is quite special! You're our dear materials consultant, and now you're a night owl! You can share your secrets with us now!"

Upon hearing the Weasley twins' description, Vizette pondered and said, "This parchment... is it related to Hogwarts Castle? Could it be a magical map?"

"Hey! What are you doing!" Fred's composed expression crumbled, and he exclaimed, "Don't be so sure... Let us finish what we have to say!"

"That's right! And then give us a surprised look... as a consolation, okay?" George blinked exaggeratedly, his eyes filled with hope.

Because he wasn't paying attention to where he was going, his toes hit the steps, and he almost fell.

"Okay…you'd better watch where you're going!" Vizette said, as he and Fred grabbed George's arms to prevent him from actually falling.

"So touching! So touching!" George pulled the two of them to sit on the steps.

George unfolded the parchment; the square parchment was blank. "Vizette, don't blink!"

He took out his wand, pressed it against the parchment, and tapped the map while saying in a solemn voice, "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good!"

A speck of ink appeared where George's wand touched.

The ink dots spread rapidly, transforming into delicate strokes that extended across the entire parchment, actually outlining the silhouette of Hogwarts Castle.

Above the outline of Hogwarts Castle, a string of green text appeared.

Messrs. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs, Purveyors of Aids to Magical Mischief-Makers

Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs

Proudly presenting the Marauder's Map

The parchment, which was originally rather thin, had become much thicker, almost the size of a small booklet.

George placed the Marauder's Map in Vizette's hands. "Spread it out and take a look!"

Fred coughed lightly and murmured, "Make sure you look surprised!"

"It really surprised me!" Vizette exclaimed, his eyes widening in perfect unison. "It looks… truly amazing!"

With the help of the Magic Eye, he saw the tangled magic circuits unfurl, extending to every corner of the parchment, becoming much clearer.

In addition, the increased thickness of the parchment itself also utilized transformation magic, and it was a transformation magic that could be maintained for a long time, which was also worth studying in depth.

This was indeed a big surprise; just observing the process of turning parchment into a live point map gave Vizette a lot of new ideas.

Vizette spread out the map, which depicted Hogwarts Castle and its grounds in great detail.

What surprised Vizette the most was the black spots on the Marauder's Map.

The black spots were distributed around the House's common lounge, totaling four large patches, which should represent House students who were sleeping.

Vizette looked around and then toward the area marked "Principal's Office".

Headmaster Dumbledore's name was also on it, and he was pacing back and forth in the headmaster's office.

Professor Snape was also still awake, pacing back and forth in his office…
