A flash of inspiration struck Vizette.
Since the Imperius Curse had such properties, could it be used to study the soul?
Perhaps the original purpose of the Imperius Curse was to allow wizards to control someone's soul through the simplest means.
However, this magic could clearly have a different effect on Vizette.
As he once told Snape, dark magic was merely a tool to him, capable of being both a murder weapon and a scalpel.
Even if casting dark magic brought evil intentions, he could avoid it by using purification spells to prevent himself from getting into trouble.
After all, he had once been accompanied by an Obscurial, and he always needed to be vigilant against the invasion of evil thoughts. He was also quite sensitive to the corresponding effects and could make various adjustments in a timely manner to ensure his own safety.
After learning the Imperius Curse, Vizette walked through the entire room.
After gathering the ancient magical power contained within, Vizette went to a corner of the room.
Observing with the Magic Eye, a pulsating silver-blue light appeared on the ground, very similar to the pulsating light seen in the mirror world.
"Nox!" Vizette cast the modified Nox.
A dark magical energy field appeared, enveloping the silver-blue light within it.
He aimed his wand at the silver-blue light, then pulled it upwards, revealing a tall mirror.
This mirror was very similar to the Mirror of Erised; it looked quite impressive.
The difference lay in the embossed border. Unlike the serpentine embossed border of the Mirror of Erised, the embossed border of this mirror resembled rising cyclones, a symbol of ancient magic.
The mirror worked perfectly, reflecting Vizette's image as he held his wand.
Upon closer inspection, Vizette noticed that the scenery behind him had changed.
Behind him was a wine barrel rack, while the mirror was completely dark, with only a short staircase vaguely visible.
Ancient Magic: Self-Shaping (Devil's Snare)
Vizette transformed his hand into a Devil's Snare and slowly approached the mirror, discovering that the Devil's Snare could perceive another place through the mirror.
The darkness of the surrounding area actually heightened the Devil's Snare's senses.
Vizette continued to extend the Devil's Snare and discovered on the other side of the mirror a small platform from which a staircase extended downwards.
"It seems this room is just a transit point; the real Guardian's Chamber... should be on the other side of the mirror."
After all, this room could be entered with just a spell, but to lift this mirror, one needed to be able to sense ancient magical power.
He extended the Devil's Snare as far outward as possible, slowly walked into the mirror, and descended along the platform.
The other side of the mirror seemed to be built inside a cave, with slightly slippery stone walls and a damp, watery smell in the air.
Before long, Vizette saw the torchlight in the distance, and a tall metal door.
He arrived at the gate and found it to be an exquisite bronze gate with various carvings on it.
The most eye-catching feature was the central part of the gate—a vortex pattern symbolizing ancient magical power.
Vizette pressed his wand against the cyclone pattern, and silently felt a slight pulsation in its core, infusing the cyclone pattern with ancient magical power.
The cyclone pattern slowly lit up, seemingly swaying gently with the surrounding firelight.
A crack appeared in the middle of the bronze gate, and with a rumbling sound, the gate slowly opened, revealing an even more spacious cave behind it.
Vizette looked at the cave in the distance, frowning slightly. "It seems that it will be a long time before we can truly reach the Guardian's Chamber..."
After some deliberation, he decided to explore this area for the time being and then go back to get a good night's rest.
We'll continue exploring over the weekend.
-------------------------------------
Perhaps because he hadn't slept on the train, and after his nighttime visit to Hogwarts, Vizette slept very soundly.
As the first rays of morning sunlight pierced through the gaps in the curtains and quietly shone into the dormitory, falling on his face, he opened his eyes and slowly sat up.
While his roommates were still fast asleep, he dressed and quietly left the dormitory.
Arriving at the common lounge, Luna, who had also gotten up early, sat on the windowsill with her knees drawn up to her chest, gazing at the Forbidden Forest in the distance.
Her fingertips gently touched the window, as if she were drawing something.
Vizette walked over. "Want to water the flowers in the garden?"
Luna smiled slightly at Vizette. "Well, I only remembered that I was at Hogwarts when I went downstairs."
Vizette noticed some remaining traces on the window.
It was roughly the shape of a horse, but it had wings and looked very thin, so it should not be the eight-legged mythical horse Sleipnir.
He asked curiously, "What kind of horse is that? Is it in the Forbidden Forest?"
"Thestrals are very rare magical creatures. I never expected Hogwarts to have so many!"
As Luna spoke, she pressed her finger against the window and traced a graceful line.
"Just now, a Thestral flew out of the Forbidden Forest and then quickly darted back in, faster than Sleipnir and Diana!"
Following Luna's finger, Vizette could indeed see that the tops of several large trees suddenly swayed a few times.
He used his Magic Eye and saw clusters of blurry magic circuits. Although these magic circuits were blurry, they gave him a familiar feeling.
He had seen similar magical circuits on the carriage to Hogwarts Castle after the Christmas holidays last year.
"So those were Thestrals?" Vizette nodded. "The carriages at Hogwarts are pulled by Thestrals."
"However, I can't see the Thestrals, I can only vaguely sense a little bit of them. What exactly do they look like?"
"Can't see the Thestrals, but can sense them a little?" Luna tilted her head, a strand of hair falling to her forehead. "I'll draw them for you! They're quite cute..."
She took out her sketchbook, sketched the horse's body simply, then drew a face like a fire dragon and a wide wingspan like a bat.
The Thestrals were truly emaciated, almost skin and bones, with extremely prominent joints, giving them a mysterious appearance.
"It looks like Death's steed," Vizette suddenly thought. "Should we make it move too? Like that painting from last night."
"Thestrals won't do," Luna shook her head gently. "Although they are very cute, many wizards misunderstand them…"
"They think Thestrals are scary and like to eat raw meat with a bloody smell, so they consider Thestrals to be very unlucky."
"Moreover, not everyone can see Thestrals; only those who have witnessed and understood death can see Thestrals."
Seeing Luna's somewhat disappointed expression, Vizette remembered something, "Do you remember the Dirigible plums you sent me last year?"
"I remember!" Luna nodded. "Back then, when you wrote to us, you would mention the seedlings of the Dirigible Plum, but you didn't bring them back during the summer vacation."
"Because it grew so well that I couldn't fit it in my suitcase, I left it at Hogwarts," Vizette explained.
"You mean…" Luna's eyes lit up.
"Yes, in Professor Sprout's greenhouse," Vizette confirmed. "She saw the Dirigible Plum in my arms and kept it."
