Snape's method of correcting details in his teaching surpassed the teaching standards of Hogwarts.
If this were in the Middle Ages, it would be considered as giving away all one's knowledge.
Although the teaching was rigorous, it offered the opportunity to access the deepest secrets of magic.
Thinking of this, Ollivander shook his head and smiled. "Aren't I doing the same thing right now?"
Vizette tentatively asked, "Mr. Ollivander, shall I continue? Begin brewing the active ingredient? All the materials have been processed."
Ollivander had originally intended for Vizette to rest for a while, but seeing his eager expression, he also felt a bit of anticipation, wanting to see just how far Vizette could go.
If the first attempt at brewing the potion failed, it would be perfectly reasonable to let Vizette rest and then talk to him about the importance of balancing work and rest.
If he succeeded in brewing the potion on his first try...
Ollivander shook his head slightly, seemingly taking things too lightly.
Even with Snape's rigorous training, succeeding on the first try would not be easy...
With that in mind, Ollivander made up his mind to leave only one set of materials on the table, while setting the rest aside and using a magical energy field to preserve them.
After finishing all this, he looked at Vizette and said, "Vizette, if I explain the specific steps while you brew the potion, wouldn't that be too difficult?"
Vizette asked again, "Mr. Ollivander, are you telling me to do as you say?"
"Is it a bit too difficult?" Ollivander coughed lightly, trying to keep his tone relaxed. "If you think it's too hard, I can demonstrate it first, and then you can try it."
"No." Vizette shook his head. "Professor Snape tried this method before, and I think I should be able to keep up."
"So Snape tried it too..." Ollivander nodded. "Then let's begin! First, add three pints of dew and bring it to a boil, then..."
Ollivander gave instructions carefully, afraid that Vizette would not be able to keep up with his speaking speed.
He had prepared more than ten sets of materials for Vizette to practice with, which was his mental expectation for himself.
Vizette was unaware of Ollivander's thoughts; his mind was entirely focused on the boiling crucible.
Not only did he use the Magic Eye, but he also devoted himself to it with great focus.
Adding various materials according to Ollivander's instructions and then making corresponding adjustments based on the reaction of the materials in the crucible, the whole process was not too difficult.
At least for Vizette, brewing this pot of active medicine was not difficult.
The active ingredient was of a very high grade, at least on par with the Soul Soothing Agent.
After the dew boiled, he added mistletoe berries to the cauldron, and the magical properties contained within them were slowly released, turning the dew into a milky white color.
After skimming off the impurities from the edge of the crucible, he picked up the oak sap and poured it into the crucible.
The milky-white potion emitted bursts of hot steam, and the liquid level rose rapidly, seemingly about to overflow the crucible.
Ollivander had warned him earlier, so Vizette calmly switched to a small flame while waving his wand to soothe the agitated potion with magic.
As specks of golden light appeared on the surface of the crucible, Vizette methodically picked up the potion ingredients and added them to it one by one.
The changes in the crucible became interesting, as if he had put in the ingredients that made up a rainbow, changing sequentially between red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet...
Two hours later, the brewing of the active potion was nearing completion, and a rainbow did indeed rise from the boiling potion.
"You've got the timing perfect!" Ollivander exclaimed. "You've kept up with every single step..."
"Next, add the clover essence, wave your wand above the cauldron, turn it three times clockwise, then three times counterclockwise..."
"Very good! Next, move the crucible away from the flames and draw a triangle using the edge of the crucible as a boundary..."
As Vizette completed the final step, the viscous potion, which had been like a rainbow, gradually became clear.
In the blink of an eye, it transformed into a clear, transparent potion, without a single impurity in it.
The liquid appeared colorless and odorless, yet one could sense the vibrant life force it contained.
He had not stopped for several hours, and he felt no fatigue, only intense joy.
Whether it was magic or potions, they always brought him this unique and wonderful experience.
"Success on the first try!" Ollivander seemed even happier than him, his voice filled with excitement. "Unbelievable!"
He took out a crystal glass, poured the active potion into it, and picked up the potion like a sommelier appreciating fine wine.
Looking at the clear potion before him, he could not help but exclaim, "So beautiful! The quality is even better than I imagined!"
"Vizette, if you are interested, you can make any active ingredients I need in the future."
Upon hearing this suggestion, Vizette said somewhat helplessly, "Mr. Ollivander, I don't have a potion master's certificate, so I'm afraid I can't help you with this."
"Potion Master Certificate? Oh... I almost forgot about that!" Ollivander realized. "And an OWL Potions Certificate too..."
The sale of potions was strictly controlled in the magical world.
Unless one conducted illegal transactions in Knockturn Alley, one needed at least a basic potion master certificate to legally sell potions.
According to the original procedure, if Vizette wanted to obtain the relevant certification, he would at least need to obtain an OWL Potions certificate before he could apply.
Vizette did not dwell on the question, but instead pondered the brewing process he had just gone through.
As the active potion neared completion, he used the Eye of Magic to observe and confirm his idea—there were certain similarities between the active potion and the Soul Soothing Agent.
He followed his intuition and began to ponder, seeking possible connections, and eventually came to a conjecture...
"Mr. Ollivander, it can not only bring magic wood to life, but also give wands a soul-like quality... Am I right in my guess?"
"To give wands more soul?" Ollivander nearly dropped his crystal glass. "Why would you have such an idea?"
Vizette explained simply, "I've brewed a Soul Soothing Potion before, and through my Magic Eye, I discovered a certain similarity between the two."
"So I started thinking about a question: the connection between wands and wizards might be due to this similarity—activating potions can give wands a soul-like quality."
"Merlin's beard! I suddenly feel a sense of defeat... I'm afraid I can't give you a surprise." Ollivander sighed.
"I originally wanted to wait until you made a real magic wand before revealing it to you... but I didn't expect you to figure it out yourself through the Eye of Magic."
Vizette laughed and said, "Mr. Ollivander, the process of making the wand itself has already given me a great surprise."
He gave a brief explanation, then pondered the issue of the active agent. "Mr. Ollivander, what happens if we increase the proportion of different properties in the active agent?"
