Chapter 150 - [151] Dumbledore's Sudden Arrival

While Tina was taking a nap, Newt went to the windowsill and pulled up a rocking chair.

He rested his chin on his hand and looked out the window, admiring the amazing curves of the sea snakes as they rolled and twisted, and couldn't help but smile and sigh.

"Praise be to the ocean! It is nature's greatest magic! No matter how many times I see it, it always amazes me..."

Just then, a flash of light appeared beside him, and as the light grew, Dumbledore slowly stepped out from it.

He wore a dark blue silk robe with intricate silver runes along the edges, which shimmered slightly in the firelight.

On his head was a matching dark blue pointed hat, decorated with star and moon patterns.

The flames quickly coalesced in the air, transforming into the magnificent form of the phoenix Fawkes.

Newt didn't seem too surprised by Dumbledore's arrival.

He even reached out and let Fawkes land on his arm, saying, "The afterglow of the sunset is always stunning; Fawkes should be about to rise from the ashes."

"I didn't expect to be able to hide this from you." Dumbledore tapped his wand lightly, and an armchair appeared behind him.

Newt interlaced his fingers and gently rocked the rocking chair, making a creaking sound. "I thought you were tied up at the Ministry of Magic and that's why you couldn't get away for a while!"

"A leisurely retirement, isn't it?" Dumbledore watched the rocking chair sway, tapped his index finger on the armchair, and conjured up a rocking chair as well. "How enviable."

The two rocking chairs creaked and groaned incessantly.

Newt listened to the rocking chair's creaking sound and smiled slightly. "The British Secret Service is looking for you, also planning to send you to Sweden?"

"Stockholm." Dumbledore nodded. "It's quite a coincidence that it's the same place."

The two had met a few days earlier and had planned to talk about Obscurial.

Just as they started talking, an owl arrived and interrupted their conversation.

It was a letter from the Department of Mysteries, requesting Dumbledore to go to the Department of Mysteries to assist with some inquiries.

The content was convoluted, but that's typical of the Department of Mysteries; they don't explain things clearly and prefer to use vague terms.

"What exactly happened?" Newt asked, puzzled. "The reason I came here is because I was invited by the Swedish Ministry of Magic to track down the Obscurus that has recently appeared."

Dumbledore countered, "Do you think...that's the Obscurus you've lost?"

"You should answer my question first." Newt closed his eyes and pursed his lips, looking unyielding to any persuasion or coercion.

This was a skill he had mastered after years of dealing with Dumbledore.

Dumbledore is always eloquent, and once a person is tempted, it is easy for them to fall into Dumbledore's trap.

He was able to draw such a conclusion simply because he had had too many similar experiences back then.

Dumbledore sighed, pressed his ten long fingers together, and said lightly, "That's truly a pity!"

"Actually, I really wanted to say... but unfortunately, I have a magical confidentiality agreement with the Department of Mysteries, so I can't reveal the specifics."

"You're so happy to be able to keep a secret without any burden," Newt said with a smile, shaking his head. "You've rarely left England these past few years."

"The reason you're here is because you're planning to go to Stockholm... to protect that child—Vizette Lovegood, right?"

"No." Dumbledore shook his head slightly. "I need to go to Stockholm for matters concerning the Department of Mysteries."

"So far, there has been no indication that Vizette has any connection with what I'm doing. In fact, you could say that... his appearance has surprised me somewhat."

Newt murmured, "He's here on vacation. It just so happens that he's a distant relative of Tina's and a classmate of hers."

Dumbledore nodded in understanding. "Oh... it's Mr. Anthony Goldstein, in the same year as Vizette."

Newt gave a playful smile. "As expected, you're quite interested in Vizette Lovegood."

"That's true, but I did come here on business," Dumbledore emphasized in a relaxed tone.

"I understand, it just so happens we're on the same ship." Newt shook his head slightly. "Are you planning to see Vizette?"

"No." Dumbledore waved his hand decisively. "Let me reiterate… I have no intention of protecting him; it just so happens that we met."

"I wouldn't dare believe such things so easily." Newt raised his eyebrows. "After all, I know the inside story and what kind of person you really are."

"The way you put it makes me sound scary, not like a good person," Dumbledore sighed, his tone still light. "It's really disheartening to be said that by a student I value so highly…"

"Don't say that!" Newt quickly waved his hand. "I suffered a lot because of that!"

"Alright! I should be going then!" Dumbledore stood up, and the rocking chair beneath him vanished. "I just came to say hello. Have a pleasant journey."

Newt closed his eyes, still rocking back and forth in his creaking chair. "Have a pleasant journey!"

As Fawkes transformed into flames once more, Newt opened his eyes again. "Now, your favorite student is... Vizette?"

Dumbledore glanced back at Newt, a mysterious smile playing on his lips.

He waved his hand and disappeared into the firelight.

As the guide said, the restaurant occupies two-thirds of the middle floor and is indeed comparable in size to the Great Hall of Hogwarts, with a buffet-style layout.

Compared to the meals that automatically appear in the auditorium, the meals here are not only self-service, but also can be cooked by others.

Behind the cooking station stood several house-elves wearing chef hats.

They all wore humble expressions and would cook the dishes strictly according to the customer's requirements.

As the Vasa sailed on the seabed, it naturally enjoyed a wide variety of seafood.

All the seafood was presented beautifully, whether it was scallops, prawns, crabs, or fish fillets, all served in icy platters, with an endless supply of side dishes.

The restaurant not only serves seafood, but also a wide variety of meats, vegetable salads, snacks, candies, and ice cream.

Xenophilius was still resting in his room, so only Vizette brought Luna to the restaurant.

The two took a lot of seafood and meat and walked to an empty double seat.

As Vizette was helping to pour sauce onto the steak, he overheard a conversation coming from next door.

"Looks like this is quite troublesome... There's been an accident in Sweden."

"What accident?"

"The Obscurial attacked the Swedish Ministry of Magic, and it seems they've deployed quite a few Aurors..."
