"Elder Sister Jun," she said, voice calm but deadly, "may I remind you that the 'no relationship' clause in my contract was removed when I signed it? If Bright Summit pressures me about my relationship, I will terminate my contract immediately."
Her tone didn't rise. She didn't shout.
That made it more terrifying.
"I can afford any penalty fees," she continued. "And if they violate our agreement, I can sue. If I win, I may not even have to pay anything at all."
She paused, letting every word sink in like a nail hammered into wood.
"And as for retracting my words…" Elena's lips curved into a faint, chilling smile. "I will never do that. I am engaged. That is final."
Jin Di's arm tightened around her, his silent support unmistakable. Warmth flooded his chest, fierce and proud. His baby girl wasn't hiding him. She wasn't ashamed.
