As soon as Elena and the remaining members of Pandemonium stepped backstage, the tension that had been gripping them onstage finally snapped. Blaze threw his arms up like he'd just survived a war, while Thunder let out a victorious yell loud enough to shake the walls. Even Night, who usually carried the expression of someone permanently unimpressed by life itself, wore a rare grin, sharp and genuine.
"That was out of this world, Senior Elena!" Blaze exclaimed, still breathing hard. His eyes glittered with adrenaline, as if he couldn't believe what had just happened. "We had no idea you could play guitar like that! It's official, you're the coolest female I've ever met in my entire life!"
Thunder nodded so hard his ponytail nearly whipped his face. "Yeah! I swear that was the best performance we've ever had as a band! Goddess, you're insane! In the best way!"
Night didn't say much, as usual, but he nodded with unmistakable approval. Coming from him, it felt like receiving a medal.
