Jin Yang's dressing room
The room was unusually quiet.
Everyone inside stared at the screen, watching Elena Zhang's performance replay in silence. When one of the assistants instinctively opened his mouth to comment, Jin Yang lifted a hand without looking away, signaling him to stop.
He didn't want distractions. Not a single note, not a single expression on her face.
When the final note faded, and the thunderous applause erupted from the TV speakers, Jin Yang stood up without thinking and began clapping. Lin Dong and the others exchanged glances before following suit.
"That was a brilliant performance," Jin Yang said as he finally sat back down. His tone was calm, but his eyes were bright. "And what a song. I didn't know her voice could reach that range. She really… surprised me."
Lin Dong nodded slowly. "I almost can't believe she's the same Elena Zhang."
