As Elena shouted, anger seeping in her tone, Jin Di stared at her for a few seconds and then finally loosened his grip and released her.
Elena staggered back a step, putting distance between them as she struggled to steady her breathing and calm her racing heart. Her brows knitted together as she frowned deeply.
This made no sense.
She was certain she disliked this man. She was equally certain she wanted nothing to do with him. And yet her body had betrayed her in a way she didn't understand.
As she studied him with unnerving intensity, head tilted slightly to the side, Jin Di ran a hand through his hair, jaw clenched as he tried to rein in the beast he had unleashed.
He had lost control. Completely. The realization irritated him more than he cared to admit.
