As Mullai got out of Bhadran's car, she fell, and a stone pierced her hand, causing it to bleed profusely. Already exhausted, she fainted due to the excessive blood loss.
Seeing this, Bhadran panicked, shouting "Mullai..." He ran to her, lifted her into his arms, opened the car door, laid her inside, and drove towards the hospital.
Driving anxiously, he then noticed the blood gushing from her hand and was shocked. She was already weak from vomiting earlier, and now, with the injury to her hand and the significant blood loss, she looked extremely frail.
Upon arriving at the hospital, she received treatment. Since the wound was deep, they began stitching it. As Mullai moaned in pain, Bhadran tightly held her other hand. The warmth of his palm felt like a source of support to her.
After stitching the wound, the doctor gave her an injection and said, "The wound is deep, that's why there was so much bleeding. We've stitched it. There's no need to worry anymore," and then left. Mullai slowly looked up at Bhadran's face. His shirt was stained with her blood.
With a pained expression, she said with teary eyes, "Sir, it hurts a lot." Bhadran looked at her face; seeing her small face looking so weary, he felt a pang of guilt.
"It's all because of me. If I had driven the car a little slower, this problem wouldn't have happened. I was too hasty," Bhadran realized.
So, he said worriedly, "Sorry... it's all my fault," and looked at her dry lips and tired face. Mullai watched in surprise as he directly apologized to her. Because she had never imagined he would be like this.
Bhadran, who was looking alternately at her lips and face, seemed to be thinking something. He slowly leaned towards her and began to kiss her, placing his lips on hers.
He occupied her dry lips with his own, giving a kiss that seemed to suck the very life out of her. In his passionate kiss, she felt as if she was suffocating.
Mullai, who hadn't expected him to kiss her like this, widened her eyes in shock and stared at him. She didn't feel like pushing him away. For some reason, in his deep kiss, her pain seemed to vanish.
The warmth spread through her body from his palm that was holding her hand. The warmth felt comforting to her, who had been feeling a little cold. At that moment, Hari entered the room with his chief assistant, opening the door.
Hari, who had entered the room with his chief assistant, called out, "Bhadra," and was about to tell him something, but stopped in shock when he saw Bhadran kissing Mullai.
Bhadran, reluctantly separating from Mullai at the sound of the door opening, looked up at Hari with great anger and asked, "What?" Coming out of his shock, Hari said, "Bhadra, the car didn't hit intentionally; the driver was drunk and driving recklessly. There's no one behind this accident." After Hari shared the information he had gathered, Bhadran asked, "Where is that driver now?"
Hari replied, "Ah... he's admitted here in a bed. He's also badly injured," and then went to Mullai's side and asked, "Mullai, how are you feeling now?" When he asked with concern, Mullai, unable to look at him and feeling a little shy, lowered her head and said, "It's better now, the pain has lessened a bit."
She felt embarrassed that Hari had seen Bhadran kissing her. That's why she answered without even looking up at his face. Hari, not making a big deal of it, turned to Bhadran and asked, "What did the doctor say? When did they say we can leave?"
Bhadran, without showing any emotion on his face, said, "The wound is deep, so they've put stitches. They've asked us to stay tonight and leave tomorrow." Then he added, "Hey, you go home and bring the kids here. We can tell them the news once they arrive."
He knew that they wouldn't eat or sleep without Mullai. Especially Theeran, who would wake up in a daze even if Mullai got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, and would sit up until she returned, then hold onto her sari and hug her while sleeping—Bhadran had observed this. That's why he asked him to bring them.
Hari nodded and left. Mullai lay down quietly on the bed without looking at Bhadran. Just then, the doctor returned to her room, put an IV drip in Mullai's other arm, and then looked up at Bhadran.
He looked at her.
"She's very weak because she lost a lot of blood. Give her nutritious food. I'll prescribe some tablets for nutrition. Make sure you give them to her," the doctor told Bhadran with caution and respect.
When Bhadran nodded in agreement, the doctor took his leave and went to see another patient. Since Mullai was tired, she closed her eyes and fell asleep.
Bhadran stood there for a while, then sat down on the sofa in the room. Since it was a VIP room, it had all the amenities.
Meanwhile, Hari, who had returned home, went straight to the kitchen and told Ramu, "Ramu, cook and pack food for the children and the master, and put it in the car. Also, prepare some nutritious porridge." Saying this, he climbed the stairs and went to Bhadran's room.
When Hari opened the door and went inside, he saw Theeran sitting on the bed, leaning back and intently reading a file.
"What is this 'milk carton' reading so seriously?" he thought to himself and went closer to him. Hearing the sound of the door opening, Theeran looked up, and his eyebrows furrowed in thought when he saw Hari.
"What, Uncle? Do you need to tell me something?" Theeran asked, and Hari replied, "Yes, milk carton, I'll tell you what the matter is later. Now, get ready immediately. We need to go somewhere," he said, looking around the room, "Where's little Vaishnavi? Bring her too. I'll pack all these things in the meantime," he said, subtly trying to take the file from Theeran's hand.
But Theeran hid the file behind him and asked Hari in a teasing voice, "What, Uncle? Do you want to see what's in this?" Hari chuckled softly and said, "Yes, you milk carton, you were looking at it so seriously, weren't you? That's why I wanted to see what kind of cartoon picture was in it."
Theeran narrowed his eyes at him, then said, "Yes, Uncle, I was watching a cartoon. Why do you care? Leave it," and getting up from the bed, he placed the file in his cupboard, locked it, and kept the key with himself.
Seeing this, Hari thought to himself, "Damn! I missed it! How will I find out what's in it?" Just then, Theeran came to his side and said, "Okay... let's go, Uncle. Vaishnu will be in Grandpa's room. Let's go and pick her up," and went to Narayanan's room.
There, Vaishnu was playing with her grandfather Narayanan. Theeran went to her, took her hand, and as he turned to leave, he explained to Narayanan, who was looking at him questioningly.
"Grandpa, Uncle Hari called us, saying he's taking us somewhere outside. Vaishnu and I are going with him. You eat and rest," Theeran said.
Narayanan said, "Okay, dear, you both go and come back safely," and sent them off. Just then, his phone started ringing. He looked at it, and seeing Bhadran's name on the screen, he answered it thoughtfully and put it to his ear.
"Dad, there was a minor accident on the way home. Mullai has injured her hand. We are at the hospital. I've asked them to bring the children. You don't need to come. We will be home by morning," Bhadran said, giving the information briefly before hanging up the phone. Narayan, visibly annoyed, looked at his phone and muttered to himself, "Hey, what kind of child have you raised? He just gave some information to someone and hung up, the idiot!"
Hari had brought the children and arrived at the hospital in the car. Upon seeing the hospital, Theeran looked at Hari questioningly, but Hari, without looking at him, carried Vaishnavi in one arm and a food carrier in the other, and went inside.
Reaching the VIP room, he opened the door and went in. He placed Vaishnavi on Bhadran's lap, who was sitting on the sofa, and then poured some porridge into a bowl for Mullai and handed it to Bhadran. Bhadran looked at Mullai, who was sleeping, took the porridge, and went closer to her.
Hari then left. When Theeran arrived later and saw that his mother's hand was injured, his little eyes turned red. Hari came to him and said, "There was a small accident on the way while bringing the milk carton. Your mother's hand got injured in it. We didn't tell you at home because Vaishnavi would cry."
He further added, "Take care of your mother. I'll come and see you tomorrow," and then left the room. The anger and sadness on Theeran's face intensified.
Unable to bear that anger and intensity, Hari had run away from that area. Now, Theeran, in that state, began to quickly enter the room.
