Chapter 37 - Playing Tag With Nel

"Phew... So you're not a bad guy." Nel sighed in relief, then cheered up.

The two people beside her also looked immensely relieved.

Hey! You believe whatever I say? That's way too easy to fool.

"Since you're not a bad guy, then let's play Infinite Tag together."

After saying that, Nel shrieked and leaped towards Shin.

Bang!

Shin didn't dodge and took Nel's headbutt head-on.

Nel reached out, trying to snatch Shin's blade so he would chase her. But Shin casually tucked her under his arm, leaving her unable to move.

"Ah! I failed. Don't hit me." Nel twisted her body while sobbing loudly.

It was as if Shin had already given her a severe beating.

Shin didn't know whether to laugh or cry, and he put Nel down.

"I never said I was going to hit you, why are you crying?"

Hearing this, Nel immediately stopped crying, rubbed her head, and said sheepishly, "If you lose the game, you have to accept punishment. If I don't cry when I get caught, it's no fun."

Shin covered his face with his hand.

Next, he took out a piece of candy from his Yogasa and handed it to Nel. He had stored it before coming to Hueco Mundo.

"What is this?"

Nel looked at the black, unknown object in her palm, she had never seen anything like it.

"This is chocolate. It's a snack humans eat in the Human World."

"A snack?"

"Uh... it's something to eat. Open it up and try it. It's delicious."

Saying this, Shin also took out a piece, tore open the wrapper, and put it in his mouth. Nel imitated him, unwrapped the chocolate, and ate it.

"Mmm... so delicious!"

Nel had never eaten anything like it, and after finishing one piece, she felt unsatisfied. So, Nel stepped forward, hanging onto Shin's hand and shaking it constantly.

"Do you have any more? I want more."

The two people beside her also came forward. "We want some too."

"Are you guys still kids too?"

Shin took out a large handful of snacks from his Yogasa again, and the three of them happily munched away.

"You be Nel's big brother too." Nel stared at Shin with a look of longing.

"Big brother? Sure."

Anyone without a younger sister longed for one and Shin was no exception. Having never had a sister in either of his two lives, he was quite fond of the idea of having one.

Nel asked, "Big brother, do people in the Human World eat this kind of thing every day?"

Sure enough, she was only interested because of the snacks, right?

"No, this is only eaten occasionally. There are many other delicious things in the Human World."

"Really?" Nel started drooling.

"It's true. I can take you to the Human World later and let you eat until you're full."

"Yay!"

Watching the cheering Nel, Shin felt like she had awakened another trait, that of a foodie.

The two people beside her were faintly worried. They were aware of Nel's situation.

Although Shin seemed kind, you never know what's in a person's heart, and they had only just met.

Shin noticed their reactions. These two subordinates were quite loyal to Nel, and they weren't as unreliable as they appeared on the surface.

"Big brother, let's play Infinite Tag again. That last one didn't count." Nel was excited again.

Shin was momentarily stunned. "Alright."

He had nothing to do right now, and he was waiting for Aizen's reaction after receiving the report. Even if the game was a little childish, it was okay to pass the time.

...

Grimmjow, taking his Fracción Shawlong Kūfang, left Las Noches and headed straight for the site of the incident in the Forest of Menos.

Shin hadn't deliberately concealed his tracks, so Grimmjow quickly found out his whereabouts.

"He better not be too weak. If he is, this will be boring." Grimmjow revealed a rampant smile.

He quickly found Shin, who was playing a game with Nel and her companions. At first glance, Shin looked like an ordinary human.

Watching Shin fail to catch a few ordinary Arrancar, Grimmjow felt like he had wasted his trip.

"If this is all there is, it's too disappointing."

Seeing Grimmjow's lack of interest, Shawlong stepped forward and said, "Grimmjow-sama, let me take care of him."

Shawlong was Espada No. 11, Grimmjow's strongest Fracción.

At this moment, Shin and the others noticed Grimmjow and Shawlong.

Feeling the powerful pressure emanating from them, Nel and her two companions began to tremble.

Shin stepped forward, blocking the three, and looked at Grimmjow with interest.

Grimmjow was Espada No. 6, and the most disobedient subordinate under Aizen. Although he appeared reckless and violent, he was actually a person who planned his actions and was good at improvisation.

"Are you the one who invaded Hueco Mundo?" Shawlong drew his Zanpakuto.

Shin said, "I suppose so."

It was called an invasion but he hadn't done much, just killed a few Hollows.

"Then prepare yourself to meet death."

As soon as he finished speaking, Shawlong used Sonido and instantly appeared in front of Shin.

Clang!

Shawlong's blade struck a black barrier, emitting a crisp sound.

Shin raised his hand, grabbed Shawlong's left arm, and activated Cleave. A white, mesh-like slash sliced Shawlong's entire left arm into small pieces. The speed of the attack was so fast that he couldn't react at all. In front of this slash, his Hierro was like paper.

Shawlong rapidly retreated, cold sweat pouring down from the pain. He knew he had underestimated his opponent, but he couldn't figure out how the slash had been unleashed.

The man in front of him hadn't even moved the sword in his hand.

Shawlong wanted to continue fighting, but he was stopped by Grimmjow, who had been watching from the side.

"Shawlong, step back. I'll take over."

Grimmjow's expression turned fierce, and the corners of his lips curled up.

"Human, what is your name?"

"Nohara Shin."

As Shin spoke, he gestured with his hand for the three behind him to move further away.

"Remember that the one who is about to kill you is Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez."

[Mission Triggered: Subdue Grimmjow]

[Reward: 1 Random Item from the Bleach World]

Seeing this mission, Shin was stunned. Defeating Grimmjow wouldn't be hard, but subduing him would be extremely difficult.

This guy obeyed no one. Although he was Aizen's subordinate, he showed no respect for Aizen and often acted on his own, ignoring Aizen's orders.

Grimmjow raised his left hand, his five fingers loosely curled, and a red Cero gradually condensed. The Cero's launch kicked up a large amount of white sand, but Shin merely waved his sword casually, changing the Cero's trajectory and sending it flying into the sky.

"So a regular Cero won't do? Then try this. This is the strongest Cero that only the Espada can use."

Grimmjow cut his finger with his Zanpakuto, and blood gushed out. A cyan-blue Cero, several times stronger than the previous one, shot forth.

Gran Rey Cero!

The blade in Shin's hand was wrapped in flame. With an upward vertical slash, he split the blue Cero in two, causing an explosion behind him.
