-Mimosa's pov-
My name is Mimosa Vermillion. A member of the magic knight's golden dawn and a user of plant magic.
I have always been a kind person, trying to help everyone and anyone as long as I couldx but I also used to often doubt my own capabilities whenever I failed to do so.
Then I meet him– Asta. A person who as reckless and dumb as a toddler. Yet he had something I didn't have, he had the courage to stand firmly and use every obstacle he was losing against as his grindstone, surviving through sheer grit while keeping a smile.
However, the person in front of me seemed different from Asta I knew. It wasn't his appearance that bothered me, it was his personality.
He said he was from the future, an Asta from another world that resurrected into this one using the corpse of the Asta I knew.
Ultimately this led me to a question. 'Is he really Asta whose courage I idolized or someone else?'
"Asta... Why did you come back?" I gathered some courage and asked him a question, half-heartly hoping he would just ignore it.
However he looked straight at me, his eyes filled with enthusiasm but also something deep and dark, like a fear of something in a image of myself.
"What happened in the future? Was there a reason you came back?" I changed the question a little, my curiosity unable to be held as well as the thoughts that kept telling me to not trust him.
... He didn't answer, only raised his hand. I watched as that hand reached out towards me, patting me like I was child.
"It's better if you don't know. Not yet. The best I can tell is that there is somethings in the future that I want to change."
The answer wasn't direct, instead it was as vague as it could be, Leaving me to my thoughts while Klaus and the kid from the mountain kept asking questions to him. I reckon the kid was named Lats or something— anyway, Just the fact that Asta didn't tell the full answer meant he was avoiding the main focus of my question.
"Does he not trust us ? " I thought. My face still holding the smile I use to greet others while my suspicions rose by the minutes.
However just when I thought it was futile to put my faith into him, Lats- the kid from the mountain casually dropped a bombshell onto my thoughts.
"Hey, Asta! Tell them about that guy! The main villian Lucius!"
...
Immediately me and Klaus turned our heads, our gazes filled with expectations and curiosity that was directed at Asta, forcing him to answer.
I watched Asta's face distort into a tangled mess of emotions, hatred, disgust, regret and many others that I have never seen on his face before. It was like watching a hidden side, I couldn't see before.
"Lucius, huh?" Asta looks at his hand, thinking something for a second, " I guess a little explanation won't hurt."
The story that followed left me and Klaus speechless. It was hard to imagine that someone could bend a person's soul and much less revive the dead. However the biggest piece of confirmation of the future came from the emotions Asta was using to describe him.
"That bastard! He made us fight against our friends! He even made me fig—,forget i-"
Suddenly, a absurd pressure descends onto the forest. Not the section but the whole forest.
I watched Lats collapse, my body immediately losing most of my strength as mana was siphoned away from body before a giant barrier appeared and covered the sky.
"Klaus! Ast—"
I saw a surprise in Asta's eyes, his gaze widened and his pupils dilated towards the barriers covering us. He knew what the barrier was, his actions spoke faster than I could react.
The mana I sensed from him also vanished, turning into the dark shade of his Anti-magic that I remember. The Anti-magic covered us like a blanket, destroying the pressure in its tracks, the Anti-magic also never came close to my or Klaus's mana, ignoring it in its entirety.
"Why...? WHY ARE THEY HERE!!?" Asta roared at the skies, his fusts clenching harder then ever as he hoisted my weakened body alongside Lats and Klaus onto his back and sprinted at the village.
His face screamed tension and worry, his mind focused to the point he couldn't even hear my voice. His hurried expression was enough to terrify me, however I also felt a weird assurance that it was still the Asta I knew and grew silent and more focused as well.
-3rd person pov-
At the village of hage, four cloaked individuals could be seen looking over at the guests they had cornered.
Conrad leto, Princia funnybunny, Jester Garandros and Edward avalancé, The former wizard kings of the clover kingdom were there, floating high in the air as they looked down towards the Royal guards crawling below as well as so-called leader of them.
(Note: The Royal knights and Royal guards are different. The guards are personal army of royalty while the royal knights was the group that invaded the elf hideout in midnight sun arc.)
It was none other than the judge and chairman of the biased and selfish Parliament of nobles– the man Damnatio Kira himself who was now cowering on the ground just from the pressure.
"Is that the sword? " Jester spoke to Conrad while pointing at the black behemoth of the demon-slayer sword. " I can't feel a ounce of mana from it, just like you said it yourself."
"Does that matter? If anything, I am more curious about the reason the nobles would sent their so called Royal guards here for something they can't even use."
Conrad keeps his uncaring attitude as he descends to the ground. He floats straight towards Damnatio, focusing most of Elsdocia's absorption on him as he approached.
The demon slayer sword was the reason the Royal knights came to hage. They wanted the sword sealed into the Royal treasury as a precaution but they never would have predicted their former wizards kings to launch a ambush.
And now, Damnatio could only watch as Conrad approached him.
"It's the former wizard king!"
"You idiot! That's not just the wizard king, but kings...! And the wizard queen as queen!"
"But how? Aren't they supposed to be dead?"
"Does it matter? They are protecting Hage from the nobles... So you better show some respect! "
The voices of the Villagers soon reached Conrad's ears. To them, the sudden barrier and ambush on the nobles seemed like a helping hand from the wizard kings, making them cheer for the the people they presumed as their saviours.
Conrad heard the praises and cheers, his eyes showing a almost invisible tint of satisfaction for some reason he didn't understand.
Eventually Conrad lowered the absorption rate on the villagers to the minimum, focusing most of his strength on the mages ahead despite clearly having the strength to single-handly crush them.
The Royal guards felt their conscious fading, many of them immediately fainting on the ground while others followed until it was just Damnatio that was left awake.
"Y-You! How are you here!?"
"Does my presence bother you that much...?" Conrad aims the sword at Damnatio's neck, "whatever questions you have, keep them to yourself... The one asking the questions is me, so tell me. Where is Julius?"
"NEVER! "
SPLURT!!
" HHRAAGGHH!" Damnatio screams at the top of his lungs.
The blade of Elsdocia had pierced through Damnatio's hand, cutting through his flesh like butter. A fountain of blood keepe gushes out from the wound, followed by screams of pain that echoes throughout the village.
The villagers recoil back at the brutality, many averting their own gaze while many like Father Orsi and Lily moved to cover the eyes of children. The cheers quickly stopped in their tracks, leaving only the sound of pain.
Conrad however doesn't flinch, his cold gaze still looking down as Damnatio while he keeps cruelly presses mercilessly and once more said his words.
"Did you not hear me...? I said... Tell...me..,where...is... He? "
...
...
"Heh.... hahaha.HAHAHAHA-"
Suddenly Damnatio begans laughing. He stared Conrad dead in the eyes, saying a single word as he accepted his faith.
"No."
The Crystal edge of Elsdocia suddenly shifted, beheading Damnatio in a instant. His neck was launched up from strength in Conrad's strike, spinning many times mid air before it fell and tumbled, slowly rolling away as his corpse Lifelessly collapsed.
With no success on finding Julius and having close to no Interest in anything else in village, Conrad flew back to Jester and the other wizard kings will returning his sword to the scabbard.
"Let's go." He said nonchalantly, throwing a final ball of fire behind him to deal with corpses.
However when he turned to Jester, he found him looking at hi— no, looking behind him with shocked eyes and saw a reflection of a figure right behind him.
BAAMM!!
A sudden fist covered in black energy tore through the former Wizard king's mana skin as well as Jester's quickly formed barrier, hitting Conrad right on his head.
The impact stunned him for a second, a second that gave the figure enough time to nab away the one item he couldn't let his enemy have.
Following the quick steal, Princia arrives while slashing her sword, sending a deep cut across the figure's chest. however her magic quickly gathered magic was broken at slightest touch of the black energy, leaving only the impact of her inhumanely enhanced strength and sword's slash that launched the figure right away into the distance.
... Conrad quickly recovered, but when his hand instinctively reached straight for Esldocia, it was gone.
His expression turns into one of extreme terror and ruthlessness. His brain failing to comprehend why he couldn't sense the attack coming from a mile away. He didn't notice any hostility, no mana and above all, he didn't even notice the person's presence.
He looks down, noticing the dirt settle down as his eyes fell upon the appearance of the one that attacked him.
"Hoh... Looks like I made it time... I hope."
Conrad heard the person sigh in relief, watched as Elsdocia was being twirled in the figured palm. A gust of wind of soon blew the hood back, revealing the face of Asta with his red eyes and black horns which were confidently looking back at him with a pose that lacked any fighting spirit.
The two stared each other in the eyes, a moment of silence before the soon to arrive tension. They both leaned forward, bent their knees and the next moment, they clashed in the middle, causing black sparks and normal lightning to collide as Elsdocia's gem like blade took the colour of a onyx.
