Daniel smirked and folded his arms. "Yes… you're right. I broke his legs and arms. And then he walked over to you, lied to your face, and sent you after me like his personal puppet."
Kyle's face lowered, shadowed by the afternoon sun, as Daniel's words cut through his friendship with Krin. He straightened but said nothing.
"Tell me… has he ever lied to you?" Daniel asked steadily.
"A couple of times…" Kyle murmured, his voice dropping with each word.
Daniel saw his opportunity to drive the final nail into the coffin. But to do that, he needed one more piece of information.
"Where is he? Krin?" Daniel asked with a neutral expression.
"He returned to his place," Kyle replied.
Krin's true home was in the Eagle Kingdom, where he usually stayed. Whenever he grew tired of life in the kingdom, he would come to Arcane Village, where his grandparents once lived.
