Daniel's gaze fixed on him, sharp and unwavering, his left hand gripping the leather satchel strap.
"No. Not interested," he said, taking a deliberate step back.
Krin froze in place. 'What? Did he just refuse me? Oh… right. I haven't even put the money on the table yet.'
"How about ten gold coins as a reward?" he said, turning toward him.
Daniel chuckled and turned. "You really think I care about your stupid dare?"
"Well, it's ten gold coins. I mean… take it or leave it. You won't get a better chance to earn this much," he said, spreading his arms slightly.
'This Krin guy thinks I'm that pathetic, naive Daniel, Daniel thought, a tight scowl tugging at his lips. If I remember correctly, in his memories, last time he offered three gold coins and the naive Daniel agreed, but it cost him his life. And yet, this guy doesn't even feel any remorse.
