The creature launched itself into the air, raising its hammer for another heavy vertical strike. It roared louder, white smoke billowing from inside the helmet.
'But… am I actually weak after leveling up so much?' he thought.
*BOOM!*
The hammer smashed into the corner of the wall, building a huge dust cloud that covered its helmet. Small bits of rock rained down on top of it.
*BANG*
"RRROOOOAAA!" it screamed, pain tearing through its roar.
Daniel reacted instantly, twisting his body to dodge the hammer. He slipped through the dust and delivered a solid punch to the skin behind the knee, where he had stabbed and sliced before.
His fingers dug in and tore at the dark skin, yanking hard until it ripped like a hangnail. Blood poured from the wound as Daniel peeled the flesh back like a banana.
"I guess… our strength isn't that far apart," he whispered, eyes narrowing.
"RRAAA!!!"
The creature growled even louder than before. It was angry, the glow in its eyes burning brighter.
