Daniel woke up feeling faintly dissatisfied, his mind wandering back to yesterday's bland meal—Cooking was clearly not his cup of tea.
"Hwaah… man, I feel so hungry right now," he said, eyes half-lidded.
He got out of bed and snatched a banana from the table—the one he'd bought yesterday.

Then he went outside, wearing a brown tunic, green pants, and leather boots.
A satchel hung from his shoulder as he swung the door shut, locking it behind him.
He descended the stairs and spotted Esmeralda by the gate, her broom sweeping steady strokes across the stone ground, curvy love handles swaying with each deliberate motion.
She turned her head and froze, staring at him as if she couldn't quite believe what she was seeing.
"Oh, good morning young man," she said softly.
"Good morning lady Esmeralda." Daniel replied warmly as he descended the stairs.
