Chapter 65

As the sky began to lighten, Naruto dragged his lazy steps out of the cave.

The morning light shone across the land, making the single piece of dry grass stuck in Naruto's golden hair stand out ridiculously.

After resting, his powerful physique had mostly recovered. But the sleep time had been far too short, leaving Naruto looking listless and half-asleep.

"Seriously, why did they have to set the competition end time for the afternoon?"

Naruto looked up with lazy eyes into the distance, muttering his daily complaints.

Behind him, Sakura was whispering something into Hinata's ear.

Sakura had no idea that Naruto's hearing was actually excellent—he could hear their conversation clearly.

Sakura: "Hinata, if there's something you want to do, just be brave and go for it."

"If that idiot Naruto dares to bully you, I'll help you teach him a lesson, okay!"

Hinata sneaked a glance at Naruto's back, took a deep breath, gathered her courage, and walked over to him. In a low voice she said: "Um… that… Naruto-kun."

Naruto—who had known Hinata would come—turned around. Seeing her standing there all shy and fidgety, he asked: "Oh~ Hinata-chan~ Is something the matter?"

Hinata was nervous, but thanks to Sakura's encouragement, she slowly raised her small hand and removed the piece of dry grass from the top of Naruto's head.

"Oh… it's nothing now…"

Naruto: "…"

Just a moment ago, Naruto had thought Hinata was finally going to confess!

So that's all it was?

Behind Hinata, Sakura also looked like she couldn't take it anymore.

She had thought Hinata was going to confess too… only for it to be just taking grass off Naruto's head.

All that excitement for nothing. Sigh~

Sakura helplessly shrugged and decided to go wake Sasuke up.

At that moment, Sakyo poked her head out of the cave and immediately saw Naruto and Hinata being all lovey-dovey.

Her icy gaze pierced straight into Naruto's soul. First thing in the morning, and he was already giving her this kind of stimulation.

Sakyo walked over with a face full of displeasure and said: "Don't forget your plan!"

Last night had been full of chaos, but Sakyo still hadn't given up on the early graduation spot.

At the same time, she was also reminding Naruto: don't go too far in front of her.

Look! If she hadn't been here, she suspected Naruto would have kissed Hinata already!

Truly infuriating!

Could Itachi have been right after all?

"Don't make friends with strange people"—was Uchiha Itachi actually referring to Uzumaki Naruto?

Although in Sakyo's heart, she had already come to terms with some of Naruto's behavior, seeing him and Hinata like this still made her feel inexplicably upset.

Damn guy…

Sakyo gritted her teeth and glared at Naruto. Only then did he restrain himself.

"Ahem~"

Naruto raised his hand to his mouth: "Let's go!!!"

After that loud shout, everyone was startled by Naruto.

Sakura said helplessly: "Go where?"

Hinata agreed with Sakura: "Right… we need some kind of actual plan…"

Even though she really, really liked Naruto, Hinata was still very rational about things like this.

"Hmph!" Sakyo, however, looked completely unfazed. She let out a cool snort, giving off the aura of someone who stood above the heavens and everyone else beneath her.

After evolving to the Mangekyō Sharingan, in Sakyo's mind, these academy students no longer deserved to be her opponents.
