"I know you're here! Come out and face me!" Norman shouted, looking up toward the rooftops.
Peter didn't know who Norman was shouting for, but he knew his chance had arrived!
Peter shot a web, binding Norman's hands, and pulled Norman close. "Let me see your real face."
Peter reached out to tear off Norman's mask, but Norman wouldn't allow it, controlling his Glider to attack Peter from behind.
His Spider-Sense flared! Peter narrowly dodged with a slight side-step. Norman seized the moment, sprang up to shove Peter away, and used the Glider's blade to cut the webbing.
"Do you want to play a game again?" Norman pressed a mechanism on his wrist, and the Glider automatically opened its gun barrels and fired bullets at Peter. Peter quickly jumped aside, but the Glider followed him relentlessly. Norman pulled out a Pumpkin bomb. "Let's bring this fight to a climax!"
"I thought you'd never ask." A voice came from behind Norman.
Norman quickly turned and saw a pair of feet flash before his eyes. He was kicked backward, tumbling across the ground, and dropped the Pumpkin bomb.
"You finally showed up." Norman shook his head and got a clear look at the person before him: his original target, the Man in Black.
After learning Norman was causing trouble, Silas teleported directly via the Shadow Realm and arrived just as Peter was being chased by the Glider.
"Were you waiting for me? It looks like I'm the protagonist here." The corner of Silas's mouth curled up. He shot Laser Eyes that sliced the Glider chasing Peter.
Bang! The Glider split in two, crashed to the ground, and exploded.
Silas picked up the Pumpkin bomb and said to Norman, "Care to try your own pumpkin?"
"Don't you know it's bad to take other people's things?" Norman sneered, pressing a button on his armor.
The Pumpkin bomb in Silas's hand started beeping loudly. He immediately threw the Pumpkin bomb away, and Boom! The bomb exploded nearby. Luckily, everyone had already fled, or a few more unlucky people would have died.
"Surprise!" Norman laughed.
"I have one too!" Peter ambushed Norman from behind, kicking him in the back.
Thud! Norman was sent sprawling directly into the cake at the center of the party.
Peter and Silas high-fived. "Silas, why are you here?"
"I was worried about you," Silas said, gesturing toward the remains of the Glider.
"Come on, that was just an accident." Since Silas had only recently recovered, Peter didn't want him to get injured again.
"Annoying pests." Norman scraped the cream off his mask. Looking at the two of them, he decided it was time to put his plan into action.
Seeing Norman get back up, Peter taunted him. "Hey, green thing, is this all you've got? You're pathetic."
"Have some pumpkins!" Norman threw two Pumpkin bombs he was holding toward the pair.
Silas was about to use his Laser Eyes to intercept them, but Peter stopped him. "Let me handle this!"
With that, Peter shot a web, wrapped it around a nearby manhole cover, and yanked hard, pulling the manhole cover up and slamming it into the Pumpkin bombs mid-air.
Boom! Boom! The Pumpkin bombs exploded in the air like fireworks, and a cloud of black smoke spread everywhere.
"It wasn't a Pumpkin bomb?!" Silas instinctively covered his nose, unsure if Norman's creation was poisonous.
Peter also covered his face, glanced at Silas, shot a web with his left hand to grab Silas, and then shot another web upward, pulling both of them to a high vantage point.
"He's over there!" Peter spotted Norman running through the thick smoke below.
Silas nodded. "Don't let him get away!" he said, immediately giving chase.
Peter shot webs, swinging between buildings to follow Norman.
Norman was running hard. He looked back and saw the two figures leaping across the rooftops above him. He knew they would catch up soon.
"Get out!" Norman reached a car parked on the side of the road, shattered the window with a punch, pulled the driver out, and jumped into the driver's seat.
"Ah!" A woman in the back seat screamed, holding a baby.
Norman saw them in the rearview mirror, locked the doors, and grinned wickedly. "Ready, ladies? We're taking off!"
Vroom!
Norman started the car, instantly accelerating and speeding down the road.
Silas and Peter exchanged a look. Peter said, "I'm on it!" and Silas nodded, continuing to chase Norman.
"Are you alright, sir?" Peter asked the driver he had rescued from the dangerous road.
The driver ignored his own injuries and pointed at his car with a distressed face. "Spider-Man, my wife and daughter are still in that car! Please! You have to save them!"
"I understand." Peter placed the driver safely on the roadside, shot a web, and renewed the chase.
Peter quickly caught up to Silas. "Bad news, there's a woman and a girl in the car."
Hearing this, Silas immediately turned off the Laser Eyes he was about to fire. If Peter had been a second later, Silas would have shot without hesitation.
"We have to be careful," Peter shouted.
"Got it," Silas replied. He couldn't directly enter the car via the Shadow Realm, as the Shadow Realm required a precise location. Unless he had been in that specific car before, he couldn't use his teleportation ability to enter it.
Silas wanted to tell Peter to go home and leave this to him, so he could just slice the car in half. But Peter would never stand by and let that happen, nor would he tolerate Silas doing such a thing.
"Need help?" Tony arrived!
"Stark?!" Peter exclaimed, surprised.
Tony glanced at Silas. "Green Caterpillar in that car?"
"Green Caterpillar?" Peter looked confused.
Tony didn't answer Peter. His heads-up display had already locked onto the vehicle. He instantly accelerated and sped after it.
"Wait, Mr. Stark! There are hostages in the car!" Peter shouted at Tony, worried he might accidentally hurt them.
Tony looked back. "Don't worry."
In terms of speed, Silas couldn't keep up with Iron Man unless he had a Rabbit (a reference to the Rabbit Talisman).
Tony quickly flew above the car, lowered his altitude, and looked through the rear window, spotting the mother and daughter in the back seat.
"Save my daughter! Save my daughter!" The woman, seeing Iron Man outside, frantically pounded on the window.
Tony spoke toward the woman. "Of course, I will, ma'am, but please move away from the window."
The woman obeyed, hugging her daughter and sitting on the far side of the rear seat.
Tony raised his fist, intending to shatter the window, but Norman saw everything via the rearview mirror.
Norman looked at the situation behind him. "Stark is here too? That's just fantastic! Heh heh ha ha ha!"
He quickly swerved the steering wheel, and the back of the car slammed into Tony, causing Tony to lose concentration and crash into the side of the road.
Norman poked his head out of the window, laughing uproariously. "Goodbye!" Then, he put on a serious face and shouted, "I am Iron Man."
"Heh heh ha ha ha!" Norman drove the car around the next corner.
"Sir, the Green Caterpillar just mocked you," J.A.R.V.I.S. informed him.
Tony got up from the ground, shaking his head. "I heard that, J.A.R.V.I.S."
Whoosh! Tony flew up again, continuing the pursuit.
