[New Mission: Save the protagonist's mother
Reward: ???]
"That almost knocked the words right out of my mouth."
Kael laughed. "I was already planning on going there, now I'm even more eager to go." With a reward at stake, he was curious about what he would receive.
"Can I refuse the mission?" he asked, testing the waters.
[Of course, the host is free to accept or refuse missions, but you must be aware that the system only wants what is best for the host. We only seek to make you stronger as quickly as possible and collect as many mature beauties as possible.]
"Hm, I understand," Kael nodded seriously.
"Good, you accepted the mission."
He had no reason to refuse. After all, the protagonist's mother was the protagonist's mother.
"A beauty from another world, and she can help me cure this poison," he thought, feeling slightly dizzy.
"The novel mentions that one of the reasons she was killed was to get that item that makes you immune to certain poisons," he recalled.
And looking at his body, it was obvious that the poison had not left his system.
Even so, a smile formed on his lips. "But receiving this mission in this world is wonderful, just at the perfect moment," he murmured to himself.
Recalling the current date, he realised that today marked the beginning of the novel's story. In fact, he had transmigrated hours before the plot even started.
"I must get there before midnight," Kael decided, wanting to make the most of the opportunity presented to him.
Still looking at his status window, specifically his Shadow Speaker Skill (U-F) 5%, Kael, as a connoisseur of the novel, knew exactly what it meant.
"U should mean Unique ability, and F its rank, while the % is my current mastery of the ability, which is only at 5%," and remembering Kael's character in the novel, it seemed so.
He possessed a Unique ability; unfortunately, a Unique ability of rank F, practically the worst rating ever given.
"Anyway, I can work with that," Kael sighed, ready to get down to business.
"Chirp."
Just as he was about to leave, the door opened and a woman in a maid's uniform came out.
Kael couldn't help but be inwardly surprised by the woman in front of him.
A beauty with long brown hair tied back in a ponytail, her slender, curvy figure made her incredibly sexy, and her cleavage, which the uniform could barely contain, seemed to defy gravity.
Kael swallowed hard, but on the outside, he gave her an indifferent look.
The reason for this?
That woman was looking at him with a cold expression, full of disgust and loathing.
"Well, that's just how it is," Kael sighed.
His current reputation was, in fact, a disadvantage, but now he could only improve it little by little while taking advantage of the benefits of his infamy.
Not wanting to stay in the room any longer, Kael walked past her, heading for the exit under the incredulous gaze of the maid.
After all, he didn't want to die; he needed to get an antidote as soon as possible, and the protagonist's mother was his best option.
"Young Master Virkninges," murmured the maid.
"Hmmm?" Kael was a little surprised to be called. "What do you want, Raquel?" he asked, remembering the maid's name from his memories.
In fact, looking at the maid in front of him, Kael couldn't help but criticise the original owner a little.
"Did you really have to go so far as to even spy on her in the bathroom?" He rolled his eyes as he remembered more and more mischief of this kind.
"I don't know what's more surprising, the things that guy did or that this girl put up with all of it," he thought, and a light of understanding flashed in his eyes.
"She put up with it all..." Kael smiled instinctively.
Despite all of Kael's thoughts, only a few seconds had passed outwardly.
"Where are you going?" Raquel asked doubtfully. "You're the son of a duke, it's dangerous to go out," she blurted out.
Kael rolled his eyes again. "First, it's none of your business where I'm going," he declared, taking Raquel by surprise.
"Second, I am the son of a duke, yes, the most powerful duke in a war-torn kingdom like Vaylon, but all of my father's sons are well known to everyone except me. No one knows me. Outside, I am a complete stranger. So don't talk to me about that."
Upon hearing Raquel's words, Kael felt an inexplicable rage, possibly from the previous owner.
Although his words seemed impulsive due to that feeling of rage, they were not. He suppressed it, carefully choosing every word that left his mouth.
After seeing Kael's indifferent gaze and hearing his harsh words, she didn't know how to respond. "What's going on? How has he changed so much?" she thought, suddenly conflicted.
Kael didn't stay much longer; he simply turned around. "Now is not the time, but soon I will have fun with her," he thought with a sinister smile inside.
In fact, as the son of a duke , and the most powerful duke in a warrior kingdom like Vaylon; Kael felt confident that his father would at least let his son play with a maid or two.
"Even if she doesn't accept it, I'll do it anyway," he thought, finally going downstairs.
He left Raquel there, stunned, questioning her own life, even wondering if she had lost her charm and if she had already reached the age of 30.
[Mission: Make Raquel part of your harem.
Reward: Random Evolution Items]
The system notification suddenly popped into Kael's mind.
His expression turned perplexed. Not because of the mission itself, which he had honestly expected, but because the reward was too good.
Kael couldn't have been happier, looking forward to returning soon to claim his reward.
