Chapter 40 - Chapter 40 Dream

Haruno Sakura's manuscript content was quite varied. It included the riddles mentioned that day, some interesting anecdotes from memory, and even a riddle without an answer like, 'What has six legs when it enters an alley and two legs when it leaves?' just to pad the word count.

Riddles alone wouldn't be enough content. Sasuke's preferences, such as liking girls with long hair, girls who wear 'arm sleeves,' and 'girls' named Uzumaki, along with his height, weight, birthday, and blood type—all the information Ino had collected, whether true or false, was attributed to him.

There was a dense pile of information, plus seven or eight photos. A large book was impossible, but a small booklet was entirely feasible.

If there's a chance in the future, adding some candid photos and releasing a few hardcover or collector's editions wouldn't be out of the question.

Haruno Sakura said very seriously, 'Our association just wants to publish a book for Sasuke-kun, to let more people understand Sasuke-kun.'

She even bowed solemnly at the end, 'Please, I beg you!'

The clerk had lived in Konoha Village for many years and knew about the Uchiha Clan and the name Uchiha Sasuke.

He quickly flipped through the manuscript, not daring to make a decision himself, and hurried to call his boss.

The boss had a conversation with Haruno Sakura and realized that this matter was beneficial to him with no downsides.

The manuscript was full of solid content; even if he didn't make a huge profit, he certainly wouldn't lose money.

The owner of Shueisha was an old man in Konoha Village and knew the Third Hokage and his peers.

Although he wasn't a Ninja, having lived in the Village for so many years, he had connections in various aspects. If those Red Eye members of the Uchiha Clan were still alive, he definitely wouldn't dare to provoke them. Now? Everyone was dead, so what the hell was he afraid of!

'We can publish this book, but the price needs to be discussed further.'

An hour later, Ino left Shueisha with a royalty of fifty thousand Ryo.

The manuscript was completely bought out. How it would be published and distributed afterward, even if Shueisha sold the book to the Land of Rain or to Uchiha Itachi, had nothing to do with her.

She just wanted to make some quick money and, incidentally, give Sakura a scapegoat.

Books needed typesetting, printing, and then distribution to various countries, which was a long process. The energy in the scapegoat increased very slowly, and Ino didn't pay too much attention to it. This was originally a gradual process, no rush.

In a cave outside Konoha Village, Kakashi had tried many methods, but he still couldn't get Sasuke to bypass the Five Elements Seal and activate his Sharingan.

The reason was that the Uchiha Clan had relatively little Chakra, and now a part of it was sealed, leaving even less Chakra available for activating his Dojutsu Power. For Sasuke, who had average Chakra control, performing the series of operations to 'bypass' the seal with such a small amount of Chakra was extremely difficult.

Once Chakra ran out, the person would die! Kakashi didn't dare to let him train recklessly. Currently, Sasuke couldn't attempt it many times before he had to stop and rest, making the efficiency very slow.

During their time together, Kakashi had developed a partial acceptance of this Uchiha child. He was strong, smart, hardworking, and kind-hearted. Aside from his overly stubborn personality and lack of flexibility, he was very good in other aspects.

Originally, his thoughts were mostly about repaying Uchiha Obito's favor; activating the Dojutsu Power was fine, not activating it was also fine, he would just do his best and consider it done. But after seeing Sasuke's persistence, his battered heart softened a little.

After Sasuke fainted from training again, he walked out of the cave.

Outside the cave stood a tall man with white hair, wearing a red haori and wooden clogs. He wore a forehead protector with the character 'Oil' written on it, standing at the cave entrance, looking down at Konoha Village in the distance.

'Jiraiya-sama.' Kakashi walked out of the cave, 'Thank you for coming in person.'

Jiraiya actually didn't want to get involved. He had no ties with the Uchiha Clan, and the fate of their orphans had nothing to do with him.

But Kakashi was his disciple's disciple. Since he specifically asked, out of that connection, he had to help.

He examined Sasuke's eyes and the seal. Jiraiya was over fifty years old, definitely an old man in the unpredictable Ninja World, and he had dabbled in various Ninjutsu.

Many things, he could understand roughly with a single glance.

His conclusion was very precise: 'The old man's seal isn't very strong. He probably didn't want this child to give up the path of a Ninja. Do you want me to undo this seal?'

Kakashi shook his head, 'Jiraiya-sama, I tried to stimulate Sasuke's mental energy with genjutsu, then bypass the seal and attempt to activate his Dojutsu Power, but the effect wasn't significant. Sasuke currently has too little controllable Chakra. I hope you can help undo a part of the seal to release Sasuke's Chakra, and then we can try to activate his Dojutsu Power.'

Jiraiya scratched his head vigorously.

This wasn't dangerous, just troublesome, extremely troublesome.

The seal couldn't be fully opened; if it were, that peculiar Dojutsu Power would very likely directly destroy Sasuke's eyes and even endanger his life. He had to first undo one-tenth of the seal, then let Sasuke try to see how much Chakra was released and if he could activate his Dojutsu Power. If he could, great; if not, then undo two-tenths of the seal, and then try again! If that still didn't work, undo three-tenths. If too much was released, then some would have to be sealed back.

The Third Hokage could actually do this, but Kakashi wouldn't bother the Hokage with such trivial matters, nor would the Third Hokage abandon his official duties to spend a lot of time experimenting with him. Uchiha Sasuke wasn't worth that much effort from him, and Kakashi didn't have that kind of influence.

Now he could only turn to Jiraiya, who had nothing to do and wandered around all the time.

Jiraiya sighed heavily, 'Alright, alright, who told you to be Minato's disciple... Wake him up, and I'll undo the Five Elements Seal. Oh, and if this child asks, don't reveal my identity. I'm worried he'll ask me for an autograph.'

Kakashi chuckled twice, not taking up the topic.

After Jiraiya joined, Sasuke's progress in activating his Dojutsu Power significantly accelerated. The sealed portion of Chakra flowed back into his body's Chakra pathways. The abundant energy within him made him incredibly excited; all his cells were releasing a large amount of energy under the stimulating mental excitement, preparing to break through to the Sharingan.

The Yamanaka Clan home was very quiet at night. After training Yin Release for a while, Ino rested.

In a semi-sleep state, she felt a strange excitement appear in her mind, and then her consciousness became ethereal, eventually arriving at an ancient-looking palace. All around were thick mists; many incense burners and the floor were very blurry, not clearly visible.

Within her blurry vision, a tall man, whose high-collared robe was embroidered with six magatama, stood by a window, gazing into the distance.
