Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 Water Escape. Water Prison Technique

Ino plunged both hands into the water, and as her Chakra flowed in, wrist-thick streams of water converged from all directions, forming a circular cage that tightly trapped Sasuke.

She took the opportunity to release the Mind Body Disturbance Technique, took two deep breaths, and knew she had won!

The Water Prison was airtight, with very little oxygen inside. Once the oxygen ran out, Sasuke would suffocate.

Ino maintained the Water Release Chakra within the Water Prison while adjusting her own state.

The Water Prison Technique didn't consume much Chakra; she still had almost a quarter of her Chakra left. Standing still like this, she could last for ten minutes without a problem. How long could Sasuke last?

"Sasuke, give up."

How could Sasuke give up so easily? He gritted his teeth and held on. Ino didn't mind, adjusting her breathing frequency on her own without any interference.

The students couldn't yet see how broken this move was, but the Jonin were all knowledgeable.

Kakashi, who had been nonchalant, became two points more serious. He asked Inoichi, "Senior, is this the Hidden Mist Village's Water Prison Technique?"

"That's right." Inoichi nodded, "I remember this was a Ninjutsu I saw in a Hidden Mist Village Jonin's head during the last war. It's easy to learn, only a C-Ranked Ninjutsu, and it has a big weakness: as long as someone attacks the user, the Ninjutsu can be dispelled."

Kakashi continued to ask, "What if there are no companions around? How do you dispel this Ninjutsu?"

His question stunned Inoichi. As an intelligence chief, he usually wouldn't go to close-quarters battlefields. Most of the time, he performed support work from the rear, and even when he was on the battlefield, he had Ino–Shika–Chō companions covering him. In his original thinking, a Ninjutsu like the Water Prison Technique had too big a weakness; any companion could break it by throwing a Shuriken from two hundred meters away.

Now that Kakashi asked, he thought carefully. If it was a one-on-one fight with no companions around, how would one break this Ninjutsu?

He recalled, "We saw this Ninjutsu on the battlefield back then, many times. We didn't pay much attention at the time, it seemed like..."

He looked at Shikaku.

The strategist Shikaku recalled the past. He thought even deeper than Inoichi and said unhurriedly, "I remember that the three of us were all under Orochimaru at the time. Orochimaru had commented on Jiraiya's defense against the Hidden Mist Village. He said that Konoha Ninja should fight in formations, and a squad should not have fewer than three members. We didn't pay attention then, but now that I think about it, Orochimaru must have already discovered the special nature of this Ninjutsu, but he disdained to explain it to his subordinates."

The fifteenth generation Ino–Shika–Chō had all fought under Orochimaru, just as the sixteenth generation Ino–Shika–Chō would serve under Asuma in the future. You say the Third Hokage had no selfish motives? Not even a ghost would believe that!

Hearing Orochimaru's name, the Third Hokage picked up his pipe and slowly took a puff.

Kakashi wasn't very concerned about the grudges of the older generation; he was still thinking about the Water Prison Technique.

"Earth Release should be able to break this Ninjutsu from the inside."

Several Jonin nodded. Earth Release counters Water Release; everyone understood this relationship.

To break the Water Prison Technique, using Earth Release from the inside to disrupt the flow of Water Release Chakra was indeed a good method.

Might Guy stared intently at Kakashi: "I don't know Earth Release."

Is not knowing Earth Release the problem? You don't know any Ninjutsu!

Kakashi chuckled twice, not responding.

Hyuga Hiashi said in the tone of an expert, "The Byakugan can also destroy this cage created by Chakra flow from the inside. It's not difficult to break."

He had already seen through Ino's strategy. Ino's taijutsu was poor, so she used a large number of control techniques, quickly trapping the enemy, and then using the Yamanaka Clan's Secret Technique to finish them off.

This approach worked against ordinary Genin and Chunin, but against a member of his Hyuga Clan?

Heh heh! The Byakugan would teach him a lesson!

Whether it was the Hidden Mist Technique or the Water Prison Technique, they were both exposed before the Byakugan. Two control Ninjutsu couldn't be effective, there was no time to use Secret Technique, and her taijutsu couldn't win. He seemed to already see the scene of Hinata defeating Ino.

Hinata defeats Ino, Ino defeats Uchiha Sasuke. What does this mean? This means Hinata can defeat Uchiha Sasuke! Thinking of the Hyuga Clan surpassing the Uchiha Clan, he was overjoyed and planned to give Hinata two extra rice balls when he returned home tonight.

The Jonin summarized for a while and found that the best solution for this move was to have teammates nearby; the Byakugan and Earth Release were not very realistic.

During the Ninja War, this move was not very useful because there were teammates everywhere, and anyone could break the situation with a Shuriken. But in a one-on-one fight, this move was very broken.

The Third Hokage, known as the Professor of Ninjutsu, found the small C-Ranked Water Prison Technique extremely crude. In the blink of an eye, he could think of seven or eight solutions, but that was for him. If it fell to a Genin or Chunin, there really wasn't a good solution.

Ino felt that she had already proven herself to be an "able person among acquaintances." She subtly glanced over; Sasuke was still holding on.

Naruto had stopped cheering for Ino. He was anxious, sweat beading on his forehead, hoping Sasuke would give up, but at the same time feeling that Sasuke shouldn't abandon it.

The girls, on the other hand, were all scolding Ino. Sakura looked distraught. Seeing Sasuke on the verge of suffocating, she ran out frantically: "Ino, I beg you! Please, don't kill Sasuke!"

Ino didn't say anything like, "This good-for-nothing needs a woman to save his life." She was afraid Sasuke couldn't handle the stimulation. Earlier, she had already felt a strange and cold mental energy gathering in Sasuke's eyes.

Regarding the Sharingan and the series of genjutsu it came with, aside from throwing a Hidden Mist Technique and then running away, Ino really had no good way to deal with it right now. This thing was often unsolvable.

Naruto isn't weak, right? When facing genjutsu, he really fell for it every time it was used. "Tragic" doesn't even begin to describe it.

"I wasn't going to kill him. He just won't give up, what can I do?" Ino used her perception ability to "see" Sasuke's Chakra, and the more she looked, the stranger it felt.

The characteristics of this Chakra didn't seem to be Sasuke's Chakra; it was a bit like her Chakra. Looking closely, it wasn't entirely hers, it was similar yet not quite.

The Indra Chakra incident earlier made her cut her losses, abandoning a portion of the Chakra she had transferred during the Mind Body Switch. What was happening now? Had the Indra Chakra assimilated the portion of Chakra she had abandoned?

She couldn't understand, but Sasuke had already entered a critical state, and there was no mistaking that.

Sakura was in tears, pleading repeatedly. Ino sighed, and her left hand finally released. The Water Prison Technique lost her Chakra support and dissipated directly. Sasuke's face was twisted, and he gasped for air. He lay in the mud, trying several times but failing to stand up.
