The battle became far more brutal than before.
The sky above Kuoh was split by continuous shockwaves, the air exploding every time the two figures exchanged blows. Streaks of white light and dark crimson intertwined, forming trails of destruction across the night sky.
But this time—
Vali was being pushed back.
Not one or two steps, but continuously.
Every clash with Jun felt like slamming into an unmoving wall. Jun's strikes were not excessively fast, nor were they wild—yet they were heavy, as if each blow carried an impossible mass.
Albion roared inside Divine Dividing.
[Divide! Divide! Divide! Divide!]
Energy was constantly drained, Jun's power endlessly divided.
However—
Not like usual.
That flow of power did not thin out.
It surged like an endless torrent, so dense that Divine Dividing's own mechanism struggled to process it. Each time the power was divided, what remained was still enough to suppress Vali without pause.
[Vali…] Albion's voice sounded heavier than before.
[We're overloaded again.]
"Tch…!" Vali clicked his tongue, his teeth clenched tight.
The Scale Mail armor on his body creaked, fine cracks appearing before being immediately repaired by dragon energy. Yet each repair felt slower than the last.
He tried to retreat, change angles, search for an opening.
But Jun gave him no space.
The black-armored figure closed in, as if the distance between them meant nothing. Every time Vali repositioned, Jun was already there—greeting him with a fist, an elbow, or a kick that struck straight at the core of his defenses.
Bugh!
Vali was blown away, but before he could stabilize—
Bam!
Jun appeared above him, smashing him back down.
The ground exploded.
Crater after crater formed, cracks spreading like spiderwebs across the earth's surface. Residual energy from each strike made distant buildings tremble, even though they were protected by barriers erected by the devil kings and archangels.
"He… doesn't give him time," Sirzechs muttered, eyes narrowing sharply.
"Not just strong," Michael added quietly. "He's completely controlling the flow of the battle."
Vali gasped, his breathing beginning to lose its rhythm.
He counterattacked—his wings beating violently, a spear of light forming, Divine Dividing screaming as its power was released to the fullest.
But Jun blocked it with one arm.
Not dramatic.
Not flashy.
Just enough.
The clash extinguished the light of Vali's attack, and the counter came instantly—a straight punch that slammed into Vali's chest, breaking through his final layer of defense.
Bugh!!
Vali was sent flying far away, tumbling through the air before finally stopping, barely hovering.
His body trembled.
Albion fell silent for a moment before speaking again.
[…Vali. If this continues—]
"I know," Vali cut in, his voice low, mixed with heavy breaths. His eyes remained fixed on Jun—not with fear, but with bitter clarity.
This fight… was starting to lose its balance.
Jun stood in the distance, the Chi You armor pulsing faintly, its red lines glowing steadily. No sign of fatigue. No heavy breathing.
He simply stepped forward.
One step.
Two steps.
The pressure of his existence pressed down on the battlefield like an invisible weight.
And for everyone watching—
it was becoming clear.
This fight was no longer about who had greater ambition.
It was about when the outcome would be decided.
Jun took another step forward, the sound of his armor scraping softly.
"Is that all you can offer?" he said flatly, yet sharply. "This won't even reach your grandfather's finger."
That sentence—
exploded like fuel inside Vali's chest.
"SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!!"
His rage spilled over without restraint. White dragon aura and black demonic energy spun wildly, his wings beating hard enough to make the sky tremble. He rose higher, both hands lifted, magic and Sacred Gear power forcibly merging.
Azazel's eyes went wide the moment he saw that motion.
"No way—!"
[Half Dimension!]
Albion's voice echoed, heavy and reverberating throughout the space.
The world cracked.
The space around them began to compress, like fabric being crushed by a giant hand. The buildings of Kuoh Academy appeared to shrink—not because of distance, but because the dimension itself was being divided. A strange pressure weighed down on everyone present.
"What is this!?" Issei shouted, his body feeling heavy as if pinned by a mountain.
"Half Dimension…" Sirzechs muttered with a tense expression. "He intends to split this dimension. That technique is far too dangerous—Vali!"
But Vali did not hear.
Or perhaps—he did not want to hear.
He continued to pump power, forcing his Sacred Gear and Lucifer blood beyond their limits. Cracks of light appeared in the air, reality creaking like old glass.
"Wow…" Jun let out a quiet sigh, as if evaluating bad weather. "This is pretty bad."
He turned and extended his hand toward Vali, tilting his head slightly.
"But just aim it at him, okay~"
"Maw~"
That small voice rang out.
[Reverse!]
A strange light exploded—not white, not black, but a bluish flash swirling like a vortex. The flow of Half Dimension's power stuttered, then stopped completely.
Silence.
Absolute.
The dimensional pressure vanished in an instant, as if it had never existed.
"W… what?" Vali's voice sounded confused.
The light of the Scale Mail armor flickered—then disappeared entirely.
The floating body slowly descended.
And what appeared—
was a girl.
Long silver hair flowing freely, a slimmer body, a face that still carried traces of Vali—yet clearly, unmistakably different. The aura of Divine Dividing remained, but now felt… chaotic.
Azazel held his breath.
"Vali…" his voice caught. "Y–you turned into a woman!?"
The silence shattered with shocked voices.
"EEEEH!?" Issei shouted the loudest, pointing without thinking.
Rias froze, Michael fell silent, Sirzechs let out a long sigh as if the world had just broken an important rule.
Even Jun—
Jun went silent.
He stared at Vali's current form with a blank expression for a full second.
Then—
"Uh… Maw," he finally said, his tone sounding genuinely confused. "I asked you to reverse the effect of the technique."
He emphasized every word.
"Not change the gender."
"Maw~" The armor Jun wore vibrated faintly.
Vali—or perhaps now should be called she—looked down, staring at her own body.
"…."
Silence.
Then—
"AAAAAAAAAA WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME, YOU BASTAAARD!!"
The scream echoed throughout Kuoh, bouncing between half-ruined buildings and a sky still trembling with residual dragon power.
"I don't know either!" Jun shot back without any intention of making things worse, though his tone was clearly irritated. "I told Maw to reverse your technique, not—"
"DAMN IT! DAMN IT! DAMN IT!!" Vali screamed, her voice now higher yet packed with rage. Her eyes burned with pure hatred. "Now you're toying with me?!"
Jun took a deep breath behind the Chi You helmet still encasing his body. Around them, the spectators—devils, angels, and fallen angels—felt something bad thickening in the air.
'How do I even explain this…' Jun thought briefly.
But Vali gave him no time.
"If it's come to this," Vali said in a trembling voice—not from hesitation, but from rage on the verge of losing control, "then I might as well destroy everything!"
The aura around her instantly changed.
Wings of blue-silver light—Divine Dividing—appeared once more, larger and wilder than before. The pressure of that power made the ground beneath them crack even deeper, and even the air felt as if it were being strangled.
Vali raised her head, his gaze empty yet filled with madness.
She began to chant an incantation.
Each word came out like an oath carved from blood and hatred.
"I, who am about to awaken,"
"I am the White Dragon Emperor who will bring law into the darkness."
Albion trembled violently within his Sacred Gear.
"I walk the path of domination with limitless destruction,"
"And pierce through imaginary dreams."
The sky above them began to split apart with flashes of blue-white light.
Issei swallowed hard. "D-don't tell me…"
"I will become the pure White Dragon Emperor,"
"And I will make you submit to silver-white illusions and perfectly evil ways!"
The next instant—
The voice feared by all Sacred Gear users resounded, heavy and laden with consequence.
"Juggernaut Over Drive!"
An explosion of light blinded all sight.
White dragon energy burst forth without restraint, annihilating the remaining buildings around them. An aura of pure destruction—without logic, without limits—devoured everything.
Vali's body was distorted by the light.
Not merely a transformation.
This was self-release.
Bones elongated, light formed scales, and a dragon's roar echoed into the night sky. Within seconds, the human figure vanished, replaced by the true form of forbidden power.
Vanishing Dragon. Albion.
The gigantic white dragon spread its wings, blotting out the moon, its eyes glowing with insane blue light—devoid of emotion save for destruction.
Azazel cursed under his breath. "He actually did it… Insane. Completely insane."
Sirzechs clenched his fist. "This has gone far beyond the scope of a conference…"
Jun stood before the draconic form, his Chi You armor pulsing faintly as if responding to an equal threat. Maw trembled atop his head, clearly aware that the situation had spiraled beyond the plan.
Jun let out a long breath.
"…This has gotten messier than I expected."
He lifted his head, staring at the white dragon roaring toward the sky.
But behind his helmet—
there was no fear.
Only resolve.
Because now, this was no longer about rivalry.
This was about stopping a calamity before the world beneath them was wiped away.
