Anu;
"This is the guest room," he says, and as he opens the door, the room steals my breath.
It's spacious, but not empty.
A large bed with soft grey sheets sits in the centre, flanked by polished, matching bedside tables. There's a plush rug just before the bed, a couch by the window, and a small desk tucked neatly against the far wall.
Everything looks meticulously arranged.
Luxurious, but comforting.
"Oh my God," I breathe, despite myself.
"This is… insane," I add as I step into the room, and Zane scratches the back of his neck.
"It's… just a room." He replies almost nervously, and I turn to him with stunned eyes.
"Zane… This room is bigger than my entire apartment." I note, and that earns me a quiet, but dismissive laugh from him.
"You can stay as long as you need," he says, with his tone turning serious as he changes the topic.
